Do you not have any Adria Agents in NZ?

All corner double beds are a pain no matter what make. I tend to just use a fitted sheet over the mattress and then just use cotton type sleeping bags.. Easier than constantly having to change sheets. We have a 2006 Adria since new with this problem. Our next van will definitely have twin beds. Apart from this hiccup, the van is faultless!! I hope this hint helps.

Thanks Tally H, will look in to your suggestion. I don’t mind sleeping bags but my partner finds them claustrophobic. But sometimes needs must prevail.

Here is the bedding I've made for the caravan .
It consists of two doona covers and one sheet .

there is 5 cm of foam in the bottom doona cover which is also the bottom sheet and it is sewn to the top sheet leaving the openings for removal for washing .
the doona also can be attached to the bottom bedding so that nothing moves in the night.
In the  morning the bedding can be rolled up and becomes cushions on the daybed ..then in the night, when we want to go to bed, we just roll down the bedding and hop in .
this was $800 online but $100 to make it yourself ....what do you think?

Hi Brett we have a 2011 model, can you be a bit more specific, with what you feel could be missing. Eg we had no jack turns out we needed to purchase brackets for the axels also a couple of problems with the hitch. Needed new pads. You might also find it beneficial to join the Adrea club.

Check the fuse on the hot water system.

The Tay looks similar to my 402PH Sport which does have a 140 lyric fresh water tank so I assume Tay has one also but not sure. On my van tank is located just in front of axle underneath van

I have also just added a 60 ltr Grey water tank behind the axle

I have an Altea 402 and it’s under the van just behind the axel. My suggestion is joint the Facebook page called Euro Caravans in Oz. You will find out more about your van there and they are helpful.

Hi Jan

I assume water pump is same as mine in 402PH which is a submersible one located inside the water tank. It sounds like the pump has run dry and failed. Doesn’t explain why battery metre does not work though.

Both could be related to an electrical/wiring fault so would suggest taking to a good caravan repair outlet who has access to an experienced caravan electrician.

Is the switch to water pump (under bed) turned on ?

Thanks David, I had a mobile caravan repairer come to my place and he found an electrical fault. It’s all good now.

You need two special extraction keys that you insert on the side to dislodge the spring clips from the radio they look like lollipop sticks but they have a small indentation to force the clips back and then you pull them out. You probably can buy some from super cheap autos

Take an existing hook to a Spotlight or Bunnings store. If you don’t have an existing curtain ring Apollo and see if they can help or maybe I can send you a photo of mine (432PH Sport) as I assume all Adria vans are fitted with the same curtains

Been to Bunning and spotlight, no go. Tonight logged into www.caravan-parts.org and they have the hooks £ 7 a bag. I hope Spotlight have the tape to sew on a curtain otherwise I should be able to sew something to take the hooks. The hooks are no bigger than my finger nail and seem quite strong.

Hi Kerry, Congratulation the 432px is a great van I owned the 2014 model for 3 years and had a great time traveling with out any problems.
Only reason I sold is we upgraded to a larger van.
The answer to your question is yes it has a seperate switch for the pump it's should be located near the TV connection and the hot water 240/gas switch behind the centre petition bed side.If that is not the problem check your fuses located under your bed.

We have a different model van however our van came with an additional rectangular cushion that fits into the gap. Ours on purchase was stored in the cupboards above the fixed double bed. If your van doesn't have this perhaps adria can access one for you. Alternatively Clarke Rubber and similar stores can cut foam to fit. Hope that helps.

Hi, I had the 2014 432px and what a great van it was.
It came with an additional rectangular timber and cushion to make up the dinette double bed stored in the wardrobe.
First you need to remove both backing and seating cushions then drop the table and fit on the two timber stays just below either side of the seating and don't forget to drop the little support leg under the table.
Fit the rectangular timber first on the inside then the table and pull out the timber extension that will make up the width of the double bed.
Now put the two seating cushions back in place the rectangular cushion in first between the seats the short back cushion next and the long back cushion on the end setting on the extension and table.Good luck i hope i explained it right.
