This saw in INACCURATE and therefore usefull for only rough work, e.g. cutting treated pine product!
This lightweight saw is just a cheap saw with a respected branding.
This saw is not for accurate cutting a will not cut any straight line, in any angle or bevel. Dont waste your money, most likely no better than a saw half the price.
Bunnings reluctantly (after much discussion) tested the saw and agreed that the saw will not cut straight and is therefore UNFIT FOR PURPOSE.
Purchased in June 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$99.00.

The low quality pressed metal base plate lets this saw down
Bought my AEG 190 mm 1350 watt corded circular saw model KS 66-1 from Bunnings in Sep 2016 -$109 & registered on the AEG web site. It’s secondary to my main saw & used occasionally. The only problem I have is with the pressed metal base plate. Out of the box this saw won’t give you a true 90 degree cut, even after a couple of hours of test cuts and adjustments. The problem is that the pressed metal base plate is not dead flat but warped slightly, enough to give a non-square cut. The angle gauge is at least 1.25 degrees out and the little adjust...Read more
ing grub screw in the base plate is not long enough to provide adequate fine adjustment. The middle section of the base plate is only effectively 50 mm wide due to the cut out required for the motor housing which allows the saw to “rock” from side to side. So---I pulled the base off, surface ground it to remove the significant high spot, filled the low spots with polyester filler, surface ground again and then spray painted. Also drilled out & threaded the angle “stop lug” at the rear, fitted a 5 mm screw for more accurate adjustment. Now I can get a reasonably square cut. My advice is to buy a dearer saw with an alloy base that has a better chance of giving a true square cut.
