Amazing affordable machine
We buy the strongest strength of coffee pods, no. 13, which gives a good robust, flavour. The machine couldn't be easier to use, fill the water chamber, put your pod in place, choose the size cup you want to make & off you go! Simple!
Have bought the Espressi cleaning fluids,& again, couldn't be easier to clean, to keep the Espressi machine in good working order.
Very good coffee, from a very good affordable machine.

Changed my life for the better
My Espressi Machine delivers consistently good results. It is very easy to use. Cleaning is minimal and simple. Does not need too much maintenance. The pods are cost effective, have a large selection of good flavours and are easily available. The machine is well priced to purchase and represents good value.

Cannot live without it !
I love my little Aldi machine even though it's not the latest model. It is compact, good looking, it has never stopped working or given me any problems. Big advantages over other machines: the PRICE of the machine, ease of use, and the coffee capsules are the cheapest around. All the different kinds of capsules taste great to me! I have even taken it with me when I did house-sitting for friends.

ng or broke down. An occasional clean and descaling is all it needs. It still looks great in my kitchen and I love almost all the Aldi coffee varieties. Another plus: they are the cheapest capsules around!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bring out machines, then take away the flavours
I like the machines, but disappointed that they have taken away most of the chocolate flavors. Loved the Caramel, Choc Orange and light. Have only just re-introduced the white. Love hot chocolate but can't get the flavors I really like :-( ........ ..... .... ...... ....... .... ....... ....... ....... ....... ....... ..... .......... ............. ............. ....... ....... .......

The Perfect Cuppa For The Fraction Of The Price
There is no two-ways about it: for the price, the Expressi 2013 makes incredible coffee. If you work it out, the Expressi will make you a delicious coffee for 37 cents. Compared to a regular cup of coffee that might set you back $3.50, the Expressi 2013 will have paid for itself in 25 cups of coffee. For less than a month's worth of your morning Latte, you'll be saving money like you wouldn't believe.
The Expressi 2013 is as simple to use as the previous generation, as it sports the same three buttons on the front — clean, small and large se...Read more
rving — and the power button on top. The only real difference is that the Expressi 2013 is physically slimmer and sports a nicer design than the previous model. Admittedly, an $89 coffee machine is not for everyone. Snobs won't like it because it doesn't cost thousands of dollars and look like it can do your dishes for you once you're done drinking. That's simply because of the plastic construction, fit and finish. The milk frother unit is also great, very quick and quiet. The machine itself benefits from a flush of hot water before and after making each coffee, to keep the internals and nozzle clean. Also a quick shot of hot water preheats your mug. The unit accommodates all size cups, and even tall glasses, by removing the top section of the cup platform. I totally absolutely recommend this Coffee machine... Perfect in every way.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Still kicking!
I have one of the older models and it's still going great! Just ensure you do a scale/clean every couple of months to keep it chugging. The pod choice is awesome however I feel there is lots of waste plastic ..especially when we use it so much! Perhaps the pods could be made biodegradable or something clever.

Aldi Coffee Machine issues explained clearly.
Firstly, I bought one of these machines for my elderly Mum for Xmas because it was simple to use and I had no problems with mine. After showing Mum how to use the machine, it was destroyed within one month, through misuse.
I inspected the Machine to find the “internal Compression lever” which moves the pod into contact with the piercing device as the top lever is pulled down, bent through excessive force and incorrect insertion of the coffee pod i.e. the POD not being fully seated in the correct position. The “pod” is then forced into an in...Read more
correct position on the piercing device, through excessive force causing irreparable damage to the "Compression Lever" which causes the coffee to dribble out, if it comes out at all and gives a totally unsatisfactory result. I also observed it being used to help determine the problem. The machine, at this point is totally useless, a throw away item. However, this is not a fault of the Machine, rather an operator fault of incorrect use or procedure. Most people read the instructions briefly, then carry on regardless until something goes wrong. All equipment requires careful use until the procedure is well practiced and acknowledged. Solution; Fill the tank with water up to the indicated mark. Turn the machine on with the top button, touch the “Clean” button and when finished, empty the cup of the Cleaned water. Lift the top lever ALL the WAY UP and take your hand OFF. This must be at its maximum open position. If the lever is not all the way up, the POD can drop straight through into the used POD container underneath or rest halfway-in, causing the described condition we are attempting to avoid. DROP your coffee POD into the machine, this utilises the weight of the POD to position it and correctly seat the POD before it is moved forward to be pierced and make a great cup of coffee. Pull the lever down into the fully closed position, you will hear and feel it pierce the POD. Excessive pressure should not be required to close the lever.Similar opinion? had it for a few years - still producing great coffee
I've had this machine for a few years now.
It is consistently producing great coffee and is easy to use.
Just need to press the large cup button 2 times to get a full cup of hot coffee.
I like my coffee very hot and this makes it perfect for me.
I also use Gloria Jeans coffee pods (I need to pop it out with a knife - but it still works fine)

Second time the lever has failed
My second machine and the lever has failed again
Designed to last only slightly longer than the warranty period
You get what you pay for
I suggest you should spend the extra money and buy a reputable brand
More expensive than reputable brand in the long run
They are also extremely noisy

Love my baby
Brought this in 2013 and it still goes strong. Never had problems with it, I still use it every day. However I never use tap water in it only filtered water and I never store water in the reservoir, and only use the recommended descaler, cleaner and pods from k-fee system and always run the rinse before and after each cup. Maybe that's why it's lasted so long, who knows but I got a good one super happy with it :-)
My favourite pods are the milano, tarino and valletta. Don't like the flavoured lattes as they have added flavours and the chai latte was awful which is such a shame, tasted like playdough.

6 years later, how is it?
I bought an Italian coffee pod machine for over $300, it was good for 4 months then kaput! After hassling HN where I purchased it (poor after sales service or no service), i chucked it in the bin and bought an Aldi machine for $79. I believe I am fussy, however, I am a realist also. We have now had 2 machines in 6 years and use it at least 4-6 times per day. On the packet it states the two cup sizes it offers, "Espresso 45ml, or Lungo 105ml". I do not have watery coffee with an 8oz or 200ml cup, that is for the "Plunger brigade". I only have it...Read more
as stated on the box sometimes with a Latte using the Frother. Great coffee as good as any Barista made Coffee that I have had. Good Crema and taste with a range of styles to keep one interested. Sometimes the pods get stuck, but usually only if I forget to eject them straight after use and find out next time I use it, otherwise I do not have an issue with this machine. I really enjoy this product and I am not paid or employed by Aldi for writing this comment. It is a great system.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Keeps pumping out great coffee
Since comparing a number of brands including other brand name pod machines, I bought the Aldi expressi and boy it makes great coffee. Prime it first and each pod tastes great. Was to clean and the descaler at least once every six months. I continue to try other pod machines but they just don't perform or taste the same.

Excellent value for money
Compared to the huge range of other coffee machines on the market this one is brilliant.
Well constructed, very easy to use and clean, it makes excellent coffee.
And for a fraction of the cost of most of the others out there.
Just started to leak a little water lately but when it does eventually give-up the ghost, there's really no pain in just buying another one.

The crema of the crop in coffee pod machines
I have had mine for just over 3 years. Has never ever missed a beat. Gets used every day. Easy to use, great coffee and cleaning is a breeze. I am so tempted to purchase the new 2015 model, but will just wait until I HAVE to replace the one I have.

Awesome little beast
I was a bit sceptical in the beginning as some of ALDI products are definitely below the average.
I have replaced my Lavazza A Modo Miu machine with this second hand 2013 aldi expressi machine and can't be more happier so far. A smooth coffee is the only thing I need in the morning. Pods are cheap they are coming out at approx 30c each which makes my everyday coffee to be a fraction of price of what I used to pay for the takeaway ones;

Last 2 years plus one day, when the warranty expires
The coffee was perfect. Easy to use and to clean, while it was operational. Then 1 day after warranty expires, the lever keeps popping up, steam coming out plus a burning smellall over the house. The price was too good to be true. I Will think twice before buying anything from Aldi

Saves so much money not buying takeaway coffees for the same taste
Love it the coffee is makes tastes better than a coffee shop - nice creamy strong flavour - only ever buy the no 12 abruzzo pods as they are the strongest. My sister has a nespresso and recently had one and had to tip it out it was so bitter and no where near the aldi machine at a fraction of the price.
I had to return my first one as it was leaking water - the second one has been fine no water leaks and I also have another one at work which has been fine..

Plastic(!) coffee cup holder snapped right through the middle
The machine was used (6x) daily for the last 2 years and always with care. Unfortunately it started leaking slowly the last year with a complete water burst yesterday. Opening it with care ( !!!!! - NO POWER ON THE MACHINE OF COURSE - POWER CORD REMOVED !!!! ) re-veiled that the PLASTIC chamber holding the cups was snapped nearly right down the middle in the length of the machine.
Rare (genuine) cups being outside the tolerance of the holder sometimes get fully stuck and with inserting a new one the lever bounces back when trying to load ...Read more

Best applience I own
Can't live without this machine! It is super easy to use and to clean. There's a fairly wide range of coffee pods available to suit different tastes. I used to have an espresso machine but this one is so much more convenient, after using it for awhile I got rid of the espresso machine altogether.

Why won’t my machine turn on at all?? I’ve checked plug voltage and everything else but It doesn’t turn on

We've had ours for about years. Problem is that the lever won't stay down when the pod is in place. The lever wants to spring back so you have to lean quite hard to hold it down while making the coffee. Rang the Support number and was told they had never heard of such a ;problem.

Our machine is very noisy. Is this typical of this machine or do I have a dud?
