Delivery service is worst I have experienced
My first and last experience with Amazon. I wish I had read the reviews first. My parcel arrived while I was away and was not sent an sms or email to give me and option as to where leave parcel if I was not home. It was clearly just thrown over the fence and then was in heavy rain for 24hours. Not only was the box badly damaged but contents as well. I contacted seller as Amazon suggests on their site but have not received any response. Stick to Australian sites, just not worth the stress.

A fast and positive response to a refund request
I bought hair clipper set from Amazon Australia and surprisingly it arrived from USA 110 volts and USA plug, totally useless in Australia. I got refund paper work and prepared to send the article back but the label US Post required meant no post office in Australia would accept the item. When I complained and explained the circumstances a refund took 3 hours to process and there was no need to send the goods back.

Free shipping scam
I bought Amazon prime and with that the books that qualified for free delivery dried up, I cancelled and now all the books seem to qualify, I just ordered 3 books spent over the required amount to receive free shipping, an email the following day says my payment was declined? I reorder and now am required to pay for shipping

Comparing with WWS, so excellent
This week I placed one order with WWS, the other with Amazon.
I was on the way to WWS to pick up my order just less than 1 hour before the actual pick up time, I got email my order was cancelled. I went back home spending more than 1 hour with WWS because WWS wanted to refund me with their online credit only valid for 1 year, while I paid with other payment method that has much longer expiration time. More ridiculously is that I was told by my friends the WWS store (I was going to pick up my order) has plenty stock for the items I ordered.
The order, I placed with Amazon, shipped fast, packed well. I noticed a minor issue contacted Amazon, the service is excellent, I got refund with no issue.
Speaking from my experience.

Disappointing Service
I have been trying to return an item through amazon.com.au since 19th February 2020. To date I have received 10 generic emails from the seller and not one of them has addressed my question on how to return the item and arrange a refund. I have contacted amazon.com.au via their contact us link on their website and via email and no one has been able to resolve my issue for me. I mean how hard is it provide me with a return address and provide a refund. I am very disappointed in amazon.com.au's customer service

Painful
I've tried to use Amazon twice in a week and have had problems with their site and costumer service. Their offshore call center was unable to identify me with my order number and address (although my address I gave was exactly the same as the one they have in my account information on my screen). Bad site design. Not worth the trouble

Account hacked and no response
Terrible service after my amazon account was hacked.
I spoke with amazon and they told me I would be refunded the amount hacked. I had no response and they totally left me in the dark.
Ended up following it up with my bank and got a result that way.
Will never shop with amazon.

Received 2nd Second hand item!
Purchased a Guess watch through Amazon Australia that shows signs of previous wear. The gold strap has blackness where the links join (this is usually caused from human skin contact). The battery was already activated and there was no plastic wrapping around the actual watch. It looks like it had been returned by a previous buyer and then on-sold to me.

$14.99 added on when buying dvds!
I've bought many dvds online over the years. Most have been on ebay. Amazon, more often than not, tacks on an extra $14.99 for shipping dvds. This makes the dvd very expensive, especially if I'm only buying one. Most of the time, the same dvd can be bought much cheaper on ebay. I won't be buying anything from Amazon anymore. Was very happy to walk away. They are very good at ripping customers off.

My wild and sleepless nights
Awesome book I read it in 2 sittings. Relatable but also surprising and insightful. I was resistant to the idea of reading about motherhood (feel swamped by it as it is), but this just made me feel understood, gave useful insights and also reminded me all that I have to be grateful for. Thank you Clover this is a fantastic book

Zero customer service. ILLEGAL product return process.
I purchased a hardback book (from amazon.com.au), and a softcover was delivered.
OK - follow the instructions - I was told I was to return the item, but I needed to print out labels and affix to the item. However, I DON'T OWN A PRINTER.
Under NSW consumer protection I should be able to return this item without me having to print out their labels. This consumer protection doesn't allow the seller to impose such restrictions on my ability to return this item.
Amazon has NO contact details to discuss this. No customer service, no email address to raise this issue and with an ILLEGAL time limit on returning the item.
So, despite my rights under consumer protection, it is their way or the highway.

Thieves don’t even provide your credit card details
Thieves don’t buy anything from them! I bought one thing and now they’re taking 50$ from me every year and they won’t refund anything once they take it out of your account. I even removed my credit card details and they charged me again this year! Check your bank account in case they took anything from you too!

Don't sign up as a seller - they will waste your time
They contacted me several times to invite me to sell my products on their portal and I decided I would. They explained that it's simple and you just need to supply information to set up. Did this several times and waited for 4 weeks and they kept saying it had to get approval in the US and that it can depend on the reviewer - great, no standard to measure you on, just a reviewers opinion.
I ask them to just delete the account as they have wasted enough of my time. They call me and say please wait for the approval and then offered me a special...Read more
deal to be part of their new product program, as they loved my product blah blah blah! then I get a message asking to see things I had already provided them and this happened several times. Apparently the reviewers don't want to open files and read, so if it's not right there in front of them, they just keep rejecting your product! They invited me and they keep asking for stupid information that had already be supplied. More phone calls from them and in the end I told them to just delete the account...how hard is it to try and get them to do that!!! Ended up on e-Bay and the whole process took less than a day- Amazon was 5 weeks and still nothing was happening!!! Before you decide to sell on this portal, please google reviews in australia. Before you decide to buy, check prices elsewhere, especially on grocery items as coles, woolworths and other are cheaper!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Generally good
Whenever I’ve had an issue they resolve it. I’m confident that if anything goes wrong when I buy something they help. I love using amazon - always helpful as I have said

Amazon is a rip off!!!!
They tell me they delivered $200 worth of books which have not been delivered and are now asking me to rate them--which I am doing on here. It is impossible to get through to try and find the books and then tell me there is no refund. They are an out of control behemoth that needs to learn the basics in customer service!

I want to know why you won’t cancel my order 249-7859597-7567041 which I placed on amazon.com.au and to date had not been shipped. Check all of the correspondence I forwarded to you and the mountain of chat transcript. I’ve messaged the seller as you have and nothing. I would also like to know why are you still allowing this seller to trade? Is it Amazon policy to allow sellers to offer goods with no intention of ever sending them. Please cancel my order so I can delete my account. I’ll never purchase from any Amazon platform again.

Amazon is a flawed system
Log in to your Amazon account, click Customer Service at the top, click Need More Help at the bottom, select your order -> Where's my stuff -> Shipment is late, then click Chat, and let them know that your order has not arrived and the seller is unresponsive. They will help you out.
