Great very portable product
I have had this item since Jan 2014, still going strong after three years of use . Very good for taking abroad to use as it is very light . In a lot of ways it is better than the latest offering from Apple as it has the MagSafe power connector and full size USB ports negating the need for additional adaptors .These are items that will now have to be purchase separately. At home it connects easily to my peripherals including the TV which I use air play to connect therefore not needing a cable and it works well .

Not very sturdy and hard to maintain.
I've had my laptop for roughly two years now and, although very light, this computer dents easily, making a case a must. Not only this but the scree is unprotected, making it much more likely to be damaged. This, combined with the fragility of the support mechanism ( which holds the screen up) and my inability to clean or repair it without having to consult the over priced and perpetually busy "Apple Care" leave much to be desired. The easy to use interface, backlit keyboard and slick design are very nice features, and help balance out the cons. When it eventually breaks I will probably purchase a PC instead BUT I am still grateful I own this laptop, as it is capable of many tasks.

Horrible product, brand new and wont start
Bought this product few hours ago and was really happy to get it but as it turn out its bad, as it wont start and it showed prohibitory sign upon turning on. Now this not what you expect from Apple products,it didn't even turn on as now have to drive all the way to the stor stop for one day and get it to Apple to get it fixed. Really disappointed.

Overpriced, poor quality laptop.
My laptop has been slow ever since about 4 months after I bought it. It has had to be reset on a regular basis for numerous issues. The internet always drops out and sometimes it won't connect when my windows will fine. I would never buy a mac again because they are overpriced for what you get and don't last long at all. I payed over $2000 for mine, if I'd bought a windows version I could've got a way better one. If I'd known how troublesome it would be I wouldn't have paid more than $300 for it.

Could be improved on
It's a nice, sleek looking laptop & it has a nice feel to it. It's able to do numerous tasks but then again, there are numerous tasks it can't do. A big dissapointment is the small amount of memory, I
highly recommend buying external memory for this laptop. If your an Apple fan you should be fairly satisfied, it is a neat laptop.

MacBook Air - Portable and versatile.
The MacBook Air is one of Apple's lighter but compact notebooks out there on the market. Owning and still using an older 11-inch MBA model myself, this notebook is an ideal product for those who enjoy and do light internet browsing from YouTube videos to Facebook, to creating documents and presentations and even video conference calls via Skype. It is a very versatile product which is evident in its look, weight and size. While it is not a powerhouse for heavy tasks such as video/graphics editing, it certainly is a product for those on the go, especially for school/university students.

Best Laptop around
The macbook air is a brilliant device, it is very thin like a piece of paper. The screen is bright and beautiful not dull and boring like some other laptops you can get on the market right now. It is a bit of a disappointment that it doesn't have a hdmi outlet making you go out and buy a mini display port to hdmi adapter. Other than that this is the best laptop i have ever used. This size is better than the 13 inch!
So if you are looking for a laptop for everyday use buy a macbook air 11 inch because you wont even know its there (because if the lightness).

Love it. Would buy it again
Love my macbook air but the only negative thing was the camera randomly stopped working after I did an update. I took it into apple and they couldn't fix it so they gave me a new computer (not complaining here!)
Defiinitely worth getting apple care for.
Also love that i can run all my design programs and not get bogged down or slowed down when i have Adboce CS5, illustrator and Photoshop all running at once.
can fit in manbag, light, powerful
camera broke, need to get apple care

Love the 11" MacBook Air
I'm a bit biased when it comes to Apple products, in our home we have iMac's, MacBook pro, Apple TV, iPhones and even an Apple wireless router. If Apple made an iFridge we would probably have one of those too :) So it was an easy decision to buy the Macbook Air, I didn't need to be convinced, no research, I just bought it. I have owned the my 11" MBA for around 2 years now, and like all of the Apple products I own its never given me any problems, it just keeps on working. I expected the MBA to be a great little netbook, with enough power to ha...Read more
ndle web surfing and watching movies etc, but I have been more than surprised. Now my MacBook Pro is sitting gathering dust as the MBA does everything I need it to do and it more. The 11" MBA can stream HD movies via airplay to my Apple TV3 with no issues, no overheating, it can run all of my software and it has decent battery life. I used to take my iPad with me when I travelled, now I take the MBA as its not much bigger or heavier and its more convenient to use than the iPad. The backlit keyboard is handy for using the MBA in bed at night whilst my partner is sleeping and the keyboard is not noisy, so that keeps me out of trouble when I'm tapping away at midnight. Overall a great little laptop, sure its pricey but most Apple products are. Lightweight, compact, has enough power for what I want Nothing at all so farSimilar opinion? Excellent size for portability. Sleek machine.
Very compact and fast machine. It took a little while to get used to the operating system as it was my first mac, but it has been worth the effort. It seems to be simpler than the windows XP system that I was on. However, coming from a rather dodgy old laptop to a brand new 11" Air (purchased in March 2012) anything would seem fantastic by comparison. Have had two problems with it since purchase - marking on the screen and a failing power adapter, but as far as the function of the computer goes, it gets top marks.

Macbook Air - My favourite laptop
I bought the 11" Macbook Air at the Sydney Airport last year for approximately $1200. The only downside was I bought the 11" instead of the 13". The screen is a bit small. I take this laptop with me whenever I travel as it is very lightweight and easy to carry. The design is sleek and with 128g I can store lots of data. I would recommend the 13" Macbook Air to my friends.
lightweight.
The screen is small with 11".

Amazing & beautiful but not enough storage
I absolutely love my MacBook Air 11 inch - it is so fast, beautiful and intuitive! However I would highly recommend getting the bigger sized hardrive and maybe even the 13 inch screen. I absolutely love the 11 inch and got this size because I have a monitor as well, but sometimes without the monitor it can be hard to read the text ... But that being said I love it to bits, it is teeny tiny and so stylish! Amazing to type on.
Stylish, tiny, intuitive, pretty
Not the best battery life and not enough internal memory

The only laptop I love to use ever.
I have always been a Windows PC user and never thought of Apple laptops before. It was until I laid my eyes on the MacBook Air 11" 2010 model. I bought it and never looked back again. It is so light and extra fast. It simply makes me love using it.
Everything about it is perfect. Small, fast, light weight, reliable.

Third Generation 11" Review
I was looking for a light laptop that I could use for office based work. I first purchased an Asus U31F which I found had a noisy fan which was a distraction. I did some reading and found that the Macbook Air was quiet. It is so quiet that it is silent. You can only hear the fan if you put your ear to the case.
The Macbook Air has a great quality build. The case is metal and doesn't flex at all, unlike many plastic cases for windows based laptops which flex a lot. The screen has a very high resolution, is very bright and has great colours. ...Read more
The unit itself is very light and very portable. One of the negatives about the Macbook Air is that it is not user serviceable. If you wanted to add extra RAM or change the hard disk you cannot. Another bad point is that the SSD utilises very a slow Toshiba controller and not the Sandforce controller which is double the speed. In addition to all of this getting Windows on the Nacbook Air is not easy at all. Apple has made it very difficult to do without an external DVD drive. Usually laptop can boot from a USB drive. The Macbook Air cannot without adding extra software. The Macbook Air is still a great product. Just be aware of its limitations. I highly recommend getting the 13" as the 11" has a very small screen. Quiet, great build quality, great screenm light weight 11" is too small a screen, small SSD (and slower than average), not user servicableSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A very capable ultra-portable machine for work and light image processing!
I first encountered the Macbook Air (MBA) prior to the release of the iPad 2. As a Management Consultant who dabbles in a bit of photography, I was primarily after an information system which was highly portable and offered a great user interface for media consumption and creation. Excited by the prospect of the iPad 2 I set out to my local apple store to obtain a hands-on appreciation for what I might expect upon its release. Playing around with the iPad 1, I was quite underwhelmed with its media creation capabilities. Given that I had 3 ot...Read more
her PC's I initially thought this might be a compromise I was able to deal with. But the prospect of carrying around yet another device for "work" just seemed far too impractical. This is when I came across the MBA 11". At first, I compared its weight and size relative to the iPad and I was immediately sold. The base model offered a 64GB SSD with start-up and shut-down times which rivalled the iPad. The screen resolution was far better with a much higher pixel density and a 16:9 aspect ratio screen. Also given the MBA offered a full-size keyboard on a high-quality, full-aluminium uni-body, the “ability to be productive” criteria was definitely taken care of. As a fully featured (ultraportable) laptop, it was more-than-capable to run photograph processing applications like Aperture and Photoshop, which was ideal when taking shots ‘on-the-run’. Believe me it is the perfect photographer’s companion, despite it being a little under-spec’ed. Subsequently, I was looking at fully spec’ing the 11” MBA at a not-so-trivial cost of just under $1750.00: about $1,000 more than what I was hoping to spend on the iPad 2. Yet even at this price, I would not be getting all the capabilities I was after, especially given that the 11” MBA does not have a SD Card reader. But the deal-breaker for me (w.r.t the 11”) was its battery life. The 13” offers an additional 2 hours over the 11” MBA’s underwhelming 5 hour (claimed) battery life. When your travelling on interstate day-trips, this makes the difference between having to lug around a bulky charger and having to buy an unsightly case or not. In the end, I went with the 13” MBA, which for the same (retail) price would provide a 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo processor (compared to the upgraded 1.6 in the 11”), a 128GB SSD (you had to upgrade the 11” to get this), an SD Card reader, 4GB RAM (an upgrade) and a noticeably larger screen. After some bargaining, I got all this from JB Hi-Fi for $1525. Bargain! I have had the 13” MBA for 2 months now and it has been absolutely fantastic. Not only is it my “ultra-portable”, which I take on business trips, client sites and shooting family photos… Its capabilities paired with the genius of Apple’s OSX Snow Leopard means that it is now my main machine. My old “workhorse”, which is a very capable Toshiba Satellite L630, has now become my media centre. Other than occasionally use it for heavy film editing and advanced photo processing, my MBA 13” is my workhorse. In summary, the MBA 13” has totally shattered my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking at getting something in between an iPad and a fully-spec’ed laptop. Some tips for young players are: 1. Definitely get the RAM upgrade (regardless which MBA you’re getting;Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
Best laptop ever. It is small and ultrathin and the battery lasts ages. OSX works really well.
I have the 2GB 11" 128GB model. The hard drive is extremely fast and the overall operation is quick. I run Windows 7 on it in a VirtualBox environment and it does that really well too which I doubted it would give it only has a Core 2 processor.
For what I use it for which is Internet and Email using MS Office for Mac 2011 it is great. Not a gaming machine however. I was surprised by its performance running Windows 7 in a virtual environment.
Small size and weightInstant turn on from sleepScreen qualityEase of useExcellent battery life
