The Apple TV does almost everything when it comes to entertainment - Subscription services for Stan and Netflix, Apple Music, iCloud Photos, Freeview, Screensavers, etc. Its great to have everything that I want to look at and listen to in one place and it works extremely well hooked through my Dolby Sound System. The only negatives lie with content providers like Foxtel who refuse to release a dedicated App for the the Apple TV. I won't return to Foxtel as a subscriber until they rectify that lack of availability. (Foxtel's alternate Air Play option is rubbish) Keep up the great work Apple - your products are definitely what customers want.

This model works perfectly every single time. Fast and easy to use. Remote is certainly the best in its class - without a doubt.
Unit looks amazing and suits most decor.
Would recommend to anyone despite the higher pride tag. Don’t settle for chrome cast or similar 4K works great too

Love the easy remote control and love the way I can use my iPhone keyboard for searching and mirror my iPhone and my children’s and love I can use all the free to air tv replay apps and of course Netflix and YouTube. I listen to all my music on the cloud and buy iTunes vouchers and credit my apple account and then purchase and rent movies when the family comes over !

I can't get a picture playing Netflix, apple have been hopeless in trying to solve my problem, and I have now given up after six months, I use apple play on my laptop to watch Netflix on my screen, apple keep trying to make this my problem, be warned apple used to be all about customer service no more it seems.

The Apple TV 4K is just amazing, so smart for a tiny box. Price is a fair Wack at $250, especially when you want to have a few in your home. But the fact you can download apps, watch everything in 4K it’s just wonderful. Highly recommend this product to everyone whom loves streaming tv via Stan, Netflix and hayu.

I brought this 4K model with my birthday money and vouchers from Myers, Melbourne.
I've now updated from the previous model. I still use the old model in my son's room, he loves it as it connects all his apps like Youtube, Stan, Netflix etc. This one is so much quicker, the graphics are amazing, very easy to install and connect to all your devices. Added all my Apps, just wish I could add Foxtel but I just apple play it.
If your an Apple lover I recommend this model.

Much better menu and picture quality then my earlier model. Super easy to connect, you can connect it with your iphone. Easy to setup with your iPhone. Remote features Siri. Bad Points−the Remote has touch navigation, which can get confusing if your used to previous versions or never had one before.

I'm not a fanboy and if anything I tend to avoid apple because they tend to dumb things down which on its own isn't a bad thing but because of this dumbing down they tend to not include certain features for the more advanced users compared to other brands but you don't have to worry about that with this product. It does everything that you'll ever need for a internet TV system and takes the headache out of the many other modern crappy internet tv boxes creating a seamless experience.

Although I had a OLED Smart TV, I decided to buy the Apple TV to allow connectivity with my other devices. It is very intuitive and easy to manage. More importantly the applications for channel 9, 7, 10 and SBS are better in the Apple TV than the Smart Tv.
I bought the full capacity, but no need to spend the extra dollars. Go with the basic capacity.

I purchased an Apple TV for my daughter only to find out her husband bought her one.
So I inherited the apple. I was not an Apple fan and I dont like iPhones so I was very surprised when I used the Apple TV and found how good it was! It combines all your apps and TV subscriptions in one easy to use centre. Very impressed!!

Really love the latest Apple TV. Although there is not a heap of 4K content available, what is available streams seamlessly from my Apple TV box to the television. The range of apps available have me using my television like never before. I now use it not only to stream through all the major streaming services but also to play games, do exercise classes, cooking lessons and more. The range of games is great but I highly recommend buying a gaming controller as the remote can be too small/fiddly for fast gaming. Siri integration makes searching f...
Read moreor movie/music/apps so easy! No more scrolling through letters to spell...just say it! Apple integration means it’s easy to AirPlay whatever is on your phone, iPad or Mac easily. Very happy with this buy.Find out how Apple TV 4K compares to other Networked Media Players

Upgrade from gen 2, which didn’t support most free to air tv channels. Love the idea of voice recognition on remote, but you have to speak a few times to get it right. Slide navigation is also fiddly, and takes a bit of getting used to. Supports plenty of apps. iPad remote app could be better.
Useless. I urge everyone to not get Apple TV because every time you buy something you can't watch it till the next day. Netflix and Stan work fine through Apple TV so the problem is apple. We will be going to a competitor. Apple help we're useless and rude with a up yours attitude.

Apple TV - Let's you stream content, watch movies, use apps. My only gripe with this product is sometimes (one a month perhaps) the remote doesn't work - usually just need to reset the system and it's fine. I've also downloaded Apple TV remote for my phone, very handy when you accidentally lose the lovely slim remote.
Don't know how I survived without Apple TV before. Plus it was much cheaper than purchasing a smart TV.
Apple TV 4K box pushes their propietary signal to other home theater equipment (ie. projectors). When switching 4K sources, Apple 4K box interferes with other sources. When watching Netflix HDR programming, Apple 4K box drops video intermittently, because it is pushing Dolby Vision HDR (will not let the projector do HDR10 without dropping video lock). No projector does Dolby Vision. Not a good product for high end theaters.

Just got NBN connected with unlimited 50mbps downloads so I thought I would give the Apple TV 4K a shot. I don’t as yet have a 4K TV but the 1080p image from the Apple is excellent I already have a ‘Dune Solo 4K’ media player but the Apple is much more ‘schmick’. It is idiot proof and very responsive. It is relatively inexpensive considering it shares the same processor as the IPad Pro. My only complaint is that, like many Apple products, you can’t plug in an external storage device and must rely on Apple’s Cloud. The Dune does have a hot swappable drive. I think having both means all bases are covered.

This is been my third Apple TV by far the best out of them all. Smaller faster more options more feedback ability to add games and apps better picture it’s cool screensavers all over great products. There’s more than one option for size storage. Go get one today you will love it

We have a 2010 model Sony TV (which still works perfectly fine), and considered getting a new Smart TV so we could connect to the internet, mobile devices, etc. I’m no tech expert, but figured rather than buy a brand new TV, we’d just get an Apple TV. We purchased this in mid-January 2018 from JB HiFi for $249, and have been very happy with it. It connects easily, has a simple to use interface and strong WiFi reception (our router is four rooms away with walls in between - no booster required). Playing videos and YouTube from our phones or iPad...
Read mores through the Apple TV is easy, and having all the main network apps allows us to watch almost anything on free-to-air TV at any time. We didn’t need the 4K version for our old TV, but thought we might as well for the additional $30, if we do upgrade our TV at some point. PROS: Relatively cheap. Quick and easy to set up. Easy to navigate. Small size. Strong WiFi reception.- 32 reviews

On a recent visit to family, I got the chance to play with my brothers Apple TV device. This was fortunate, as I was looking for a better way to utilise my downloaded and back up copies of movies, plus a way to stream Netflix and the like.
My brother told me that the Apple TV he had was not capable of streaming my collection, from a NAS. Being them determined little camper I am, I did some research. Hurrah! The newly released Gen 5, runs Plex AND VLC.
With Netflix, Stan, WWE Network (yes, I am weird and like wrestling.
The only thing Apple TV doesn't have is Spotify, but I can Airplay music between my iPad and Apple TV, so nothing is lost in that case. I would like Spotify, but can understand why it isn't there.

I’ve been using Apple TV’s in one form or another since they first came out, but after using my LG TV was almost okay with webOS. Only problem was the interface for watching content from my NAS just wasn’t right.
So I took the plunge and bought an Apple TV 4K. You can tell this thing has some processing power as movies which would stutter through apps on webOS play beautifully on the Apple TV.
I find the Siri remote really easy to use, and the only drawback is the same as it’s always been that the remotes are so small they’re easy to loose in the sofa or bed! But otherwise, very happy!

Just upgraded from the previous generation Apple TV and being able to rent 4K movies without leaving my house is great! I can airplay from my phone, laptop and iPad. And it has many apps to download including the amazing Netflix haha. Just wish Australia has Hulu.
Apples products are always amazing and useful

I really like to use it for streaming music from my iPad mini to Apple TV which is connected to a receiver connected to my hifi System. It sounds amazing.
I really like it for streaming Netflix too. I use it often to watch all my shows.
I like it because you can use mobile hotspot to connect to internet. Where as google cast can only be used on home internet. I don’t really use the Apple TV for games, because I am not really into the games they have.
But I can see it’s uses for children.
I like the touch remote control which is easy to use. Also can use my iPad mini to control Apple TV.
It’s a good product worth buying especially if you are an Apple user.

I’m a big fan of apple and all my house members using iphone, ipad, and mac, I thought apple tv worth to us, the mirroring is so nice and good to see family pic and videos. But apple tv is expensive what I expected but it is okay, performance is nice

Apple can learn a lot from roku.... they could have integrated the live tv option like roku and Xbox does which would be easier for watching live tv channels without changing the hdmi input . HDMI does not transfer 5.1 audio output to the connected TVs. Siri needs a little bit more woke in dictation.
