Okay but very bad gas pains
We moved our son onto Aptamil reflux formula at 2 months when our doctor gave us a free tin. It worked well for reflux but he has such bad gas pains. We tried everything to relieve the gas but he would still scream at least 5 times a day due to gas pains.

Works for reflux but makes baby constipated
My 3week old baby has been drinking aptamil gold newborn fine but notice he would get abit of reflux, so thought we would change to aptamil gold reflux the other night. Since being on it he hasn’t been able to poo, has been passing gas all day long and crying/screaming from pain. Wish it worked for us because we did notice he havnt spilled up milk yet
But will be changing back to our old one for now

Mixed Feelings
I used this formula for my daughter back in 2017 as she suffered severe projectile vomiting from reflux and it was a godsend! It did constipate her to begin with but within a fortnight she adjusted and was sleeping 6 hours straight a night and napping well during the day.

... Read moreoing rabbit pellet type poos but as of Wednesday this week (day 4) she has had the opposite effect and is having horrible diarrhoea and bad gas! It’s fixed the reflux problem for sure and she’s still feeding well and wanting bottles and doesn’t seem to be in much discomfort but I’m changing her poo 5-8 times a day! It’s bright yellow and sometimes runny and sometimes just quite mushy and smells terrible! I know it can take a good 2 weeks to adjust to a new formula so I’m hanging out for the bowel movements to settle down. The plus side is that she’s sleeping 6 hours straight through the night and seems to only be doing the horrible poo when she’s awake. I would recommend this formula to anyone needing a fix for reflux for sure but just be mindful of bowel changes.
Caused Diarrhea
This formula was wonderful at stopping bub’s reflux however, doesn’t agree with the little ones stomach and has caused diarrhea. It is quite thick in the bottle so if you’re going to give it a go, would recommend a fast flow bottle.

AR gold worked well for us altho my son got very constipated from it now that its changed to reflux gold I have the opposite problem hes a wee bit spilly which I can handle but alot of poo explosions hes on his third tin of the new stuff so I thought it would have calmed down by now also he is alot hungrier than before I'm worried hes not getting what he needs from this formula because hes pooing it out so fast?

Worked well for the reflux
The formula worked really well for our baby’s reflux from the very first time we tried it. He didn’t have a single vomit since. However unfortunately it gave our bubs violent diarrhea, so we had to take him off this formula. Was a shame our baby reacted to it, otherwise it worked well for his reflux and regurgitation.

Good for reflux but really bad smelling poo
Stopped breastfeeding about 2 weeks ago and bought a tin of aptamil gold which worked great for my bub but he would spit up quite a bit after each feed so we got the AR version. Now the formula is very thick if not used right away. My son doesn’t seem to mind. The only real issue I have is he is pooping 6-8 times a day since I started this formula 3-4 days ago, and they stink!! Like, the whole house sticks, even when double bagging the nappy!

Had high hopes
So I brought this for my 6 week old who suffers silent reflux and colic after using the Aptimal for colic and constipation which worked well but he was still vomiting alot we thought we would try this one. Unfortunately I'm really disappointed as it's so incredibly thick my poor son has a hard time sucking it out even with fast flow teats, and is now back to waking every half an hour because he's still hungry because he literally can't get through a bottle.
I wish I had of just stuck to the colic and constipation as this formula is quite expensive.

Great for AR but...
Love that this has completely stopped his vomiting and almost stopped his hiccups, but he has very,very runny poos. I am not sure what to put him on next as I like the formula just not the pooing. Any suggestions?

I brought the formula and with some fast flow teats it has trouble coming out and had to make the hole bigger other then that im liking it so far my little has just gone on the formula and doesnt chuck up as much and is abit more settle and not crying as much but seems to have diarrhoea ever since i put them on the aptamil ar formula not sure if thats normal an if you have warn custom that could happen

My baby loves it! It Stopped reflux but...
I was using Aptamil Gold from birth as I couldn't breastfeed him. It was OK but he had a mild reflux and was regurgitating a lot! I had to change many bibs between feeds.
Then just recently I started Aptamil AR (going through 2nd tin now baby is almost 3 months now). He loved it and it stopped vomiting settling him for longer! However formula is very thick and we had to use bigger medium flow bottle. Another of my concerns is that he is having a very loose stool and after each feed he has a dirty nappy. Not sure if this is just a temporary! I try to give him aptamil gold for some feeds but he does not like it anymore he likes AR better. Will call help line and discuss with them!

My nearly 6 month old was fine with AR until tje formula was changed, his stool are quite hard and he struggles to push it out...Luckily we're approaching the 6 month mark so will have to buy a different brand to do him for the next three weeks until he can go on solids

this was working awesome for my bus who is now 6 months old, but since they have changed the ingredients she has been bringing up again, would love to know why it was changed
Good but bad
Bubs wont stop vomiting tried lots of formulas this worked then he broke out in a reaction after a week he had a rash doctors said it was erythema multiforme
Gassy
I started using S26 gold AR for my daughter and I really liked in but than my partner wanted to change to Aptimal AR because my son was on it and it was good for him. She was fine for the first couple of weeks besides the constipation but it started giving her really bad gas. It also thickens too quick and goes really foamy.
