Temperamental with Frequent Issues and Very Slow / Unresponsive Service
It seems that with increasing technology/features on the Asko washers, they are more prone to issues. We have had no end of trouble with ours and service has been very slow (expect delays of over 3 weeks). I would not buy this product again.

Taking ASKO to Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT)
Further from my previous post titled, 'I Wish I never purchased ASKO' - The new replacement unit also leaked and I have now lodged an NCAT proceeding this morning.
Spoke to [name removed] (a girl from ASKO) about the leak on the replacement model. She continually spoke over me. I would allow her to talk and then asked her to extend me the same courtesy but she kept interrupting. I found her to be extremely unpleasant. I asked to speak to her manager which she rejected. I asked her for her managers email address to which she denied me. She conti...Read more

After Sales Service
My Asko dishwasher required repairs. The appliance was 30 days out of warranty. [Name Removed] of your service department was most helpful and arranged for the repairs free of charge.
Thank you

Great After Sales Service.
I am extremely impressed with Asko’s after sales service. I had a blocked drain in the Christmas period ( and on a Sunday) and was able to get telephone assistance and follow up online assistance. I recently needed further maintenance assistance which was attended to promptly and efficiently. The technician also reprogrammed some cycles to improve the efficiency of the dishwasher.

Thanks to Olivia and the service team for helping me out!
I have been loving my Asko dishwasher when it suddenly stopped working well and the dishes were no longer clean at the end of the wash. I called the service team and was lucky to reach Olivia who quickly identified my problem, sent me some easy instructions and the problem was speedily solved. Great company with quality merchandise and competent, friendly staff!

Asko Dishwasher
I've had 2 Asko dishwashers in 2 different homes, and been super happy with them. My current one showed an F11 error, water not draining. I tried to fix it myself without success, so called Asko and the very helpful Olivia booked a service in but also sent me a troubleshooting email. I was able to fix it myself and cancelled the service call. Thanks Olivia and Asko. This is the only time I've ever had an Asko issue. I also have an Asko washer and condenser dryer which I'm very happy with.

Asko Washing Machine lasted 18 years
My old Asko washing machine lasted 18 years. It was excellent - even if the 6kg drum became too small for my growing family. I've replaced with a new, larger Asko washing machine. Omar - knowledgeable & helpful sales guy in their Victorian clearance centre - helped me to buy a second (minor scratches on the side of the machine) for a significant discount. I also looked at a Miele - but the value proposition was (in my view) much better with Asko . Next day delivery and installation. New machine is certainly quiet, and 1600rpm spin speed means clothes are much dryer coming out of the machine than I am used to. Thank you Asko . Hoping for another 18 years.

Very unhappy with ASKO oven pyrotechnics function. Does not work!
After 4 hours oven still dirty. Does not burn off as my friends ovens (not Asko). Contacted Asko, told it was die in the food! And they sent product and recipes for making a product to remove the marks. Took 1 hour! My mum has a cheaper 800 buck oven. After pyrotechnic used, just wipe and sparking clean. Now Asko not responding to my emails. I have steered 5 people away from Asko in the last year. I will never buy another Asko product.

Customer Service (delivery dept)
Initially rang to check on the delivery of my appliances, I spoke to Hassan in the delivery department, and after a bit of a hiccup regarding the items that we ordered, and a delay in delivery, Hassan went above and beyond to assist me in trying to find a solution to getting my appliances to me.
I then had to contact the office again, this time speaking to David, once again very polite and listen to the issue i had with the model that i needed to exchange in order to match the previous swap, David was very attentive to the issue and after c...Read more
hecking his stock, was able to change the model, in order to accommodate. My delivery was sent the next day and all items where as discussed. I was very appreciative in both Hassan & David's professional and polite manner. I am a very happy customer, and hope that if and when i require any further assistance from ASKO Customer Service, that i get the same assistance. Thank you again Hassan & David, I appreciate your assistance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very slow service department
The sensor pad on our dishwasher, stopped working after 18 months. We have been without a dishwasher for two weeks and are waiting a further two weeks before a service technician can fix it. A month to fix something still under warranty is way too long. Asko needs more technicians. The dishwasher itself does a really good job when it's working.

Fantastic Service Team
The Service man, (Dean) called me the night before our appointment and also
kept me up to date with his ETO on the day( which was within his original estimate). He was professional and courteous.
He fixed the dishwasher, explained the problem very well and also gave me some good tips for ongoing use.

Built to last? I don't think so.
Should last 20 years but had major issues just outside of warranty. Not happy with the quality or service. I owned a Bosch in the past. Much more reliable than this expensive piece of landfill

Avoid Asko products
I bought 3 appliances which totalled just under $6k and each product (dishwasher, heat pump dryer, Washing Machine) have been repaired multiple times each and all for known design faults. As the products are now out of warranty Asko technicians are suggesting user error for well known design faults, even so, designs of new models appliances have been designed to address the known faults.
Very disappointing considering the money spent, I have never know products to be so faulty.. I even know the technician well as he has been to the house so many times to repair the issues.
I would avoid ASKO products as they are not made to last!

Finally, a dryer that dries sheets & bedding!
After being thoroughly disappointed with my Siemens heat pump condenser dryer, I replaced it with an Asko condenser dryer. I needed to be able to dry my laundry fast and wanted to be able to dry bedding in the dryer, and not have it ball up and stay wet in the middle (which is what happened with my Siemens).
The butterfly technology, combined with the drum changing directions (which I had a hard time finding with other brands) keeps the bedding “open” while beIng dried, and makes every type of load dry fast.
I bought it based on my experience ...Read more

Asko D5456 Dishwasher excellent so far.
My old Asko Dishwasher ASEA 1252 was installed about 1995 and had performed faultlessly (24 yrs) until 10/12/2019 when it overfilled and shorted out the motor, thereby stopping permanently. The dishwasher man suggested a D5456 as replacement so I got one from The Good Guys on 27/12/19 and it was installed on 31/12/19.!! The installer Nick was very efficient and installed it in 30 mins and took away the old one and all the packing rubbish from the new one. So we have used it only a few times and still getting used to it. Compared to the old one...Read more
this D5456 is QUIET almost silent. (The electric kettle makes more noise.) I have only used the standard setting which is lowest electricity and water use. I like the fact the D5456 is strong.. all components seem unbreakable, and stainless steel interior including the 3x spray arms. It Has a plastic cutlery shelf as well but the usual 2 other baskets are strong coated steel/graphite I think. It is very versatile, with most of the bottom basket movable / re arrangeable to accommodate just about any cooking pan. The top holds 25cm high wine glasses!!. The dishes come out spotless, but with a bit of water left on them. But there are settings to dry the dishes more if u want. But it takes about 2hr 20 mins for the cycle (which seems typical) so I will just put it on overnight as usual. So very pleased with my purchase so far. I hope it goes for 24 yrs like the old one.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Asko W6864W Washing Machine
We purchased our Asko W6864W washing machine almost 4 years ago and have been very happy with the machine up until now. The machine began making a squeaking noise on the wash cycle about 4 weeks ago. Got a Technician out to repair the machine a few days ago who advised that the fault was the bearings and that we were very unlucky that the problem had occurred as Asko machines should last 10 - 15 years without fault. He replaced the bearings (German quality) and seal which cost $880, including the repair time!! I am very disappointed that we have had to pay so much to fix a problem that shouldn’t have happened given the fact that we paid $1800 for the machine only 4 years ago.

I have just tried to get my washing machine let me choose a program and it will not allow me, with either buttons or knob. I have turned it off in frustration. Has anyone experienced this, also?

I have a 12-year-old Asko dishwasher which has done OK till now (though I had to get the outlet hose and the motor replaced about 5 years ago). Now it is leaving food on plates etc. and water is not getting hot, so not drying at end of cycle. Have been told I need a service, however a plumber said he thinks it's not worth fixing at this age. Is he right?

Assuming you use about once per day, I'd say 10 years would be a reasonable expectant and 12 years is pretty good... . I also found this; http://homeguides.sfgate.com/long-should-dishwasher-last-average-91045.html
Hi I've got a Miele standard dishwasher G664 & its still going & its 16yrs old!! - only had 1 service call & that was because the swivel arm was blocked & I didn't know to check it before calling for service. A service repairman was booked & called within 4 days to fix the problem
so I would say buy a Miele - think the basic entry model today is about $1200 ?? but well worth the money
Thanks very much Grant and happy customer. I since heard the prob is probably the thermostat but have decided to put it into retirement as theres only one of me and I like hands on.
