Although we moved to a house in The Blue Mountains (Blackheath), well off the beaten track, there were several plumbers in the area who could have done the job easily, As it happened, there was already a dilapidated dishwasher left behind by the previous householder so swapping machines was easy. We have lived through five different makes of dishwasher in the last few years and they all have connections that are basically the same. If you do it yourself, my advice would be to use cold water and make sure you look at the instructions showing the outlet pipe has a minimum height-rise. And use powder, not tablets; Aldi gets the best results we find. Since I posted my comments the Asko has behaved faultlessly. You might like to check with your supplier regarding warranty if you do it yourself

Hi Chia, think it would be best to have a professional to do the install however it's not a major job and can be completed in an hour or so, good luck and enjoy the washer as we still are!!

No, I cannot say that it is quiet at all. Also it really doesn't dry well. I wouldn't buy it again or recommend to anyone. Think I should have gone for another brand.
