Horrible Service - Odd Configuration
I purchased this laptop, after a lot of research, and reading reviews about ASUS creating a high quality 'road warrior' small business laptop for a mid-range price. The good part is that it is very light, and the screen is big. It also doesn't come with a lot of bloatware.
But although ASUS is trying to appeal to the business market, they are failing in key ways.
The first problem is that the screen configuration means the camera is at the bottom, as in where the keyboard is. That is nonsensical for business users, as the only way you can u...Read more
se the camera is if it is in a reverse position and you can't access the keyboard. Otherwise all people see is your fingers. The second, biggest problem, however, is the support from ASUS. I had previously only bought Lenovo laptops, which have their own issues, but the support is really good. Soon after buying this laptop, I plugged in my headphones, and the computer recognised that I had plugged them in and asked if they were headphones, headset etc. But then I could not get the computer to actually play music through the headphone jack, no matter how much updating and YouTube problem solving I did. I contacted ASUS and they said I'd need to send it to their repair centre (at my own expense) and it would take 10 days just to be assessed.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

ASUS TP410U - A well optimised system with minimal drawbacks.
I dedicated approximately 35 hours to research the best laptop for me and this Asus was my #1 choice. The model I have features the 8th Gen i5 8250U, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD and illuminated keys.
The system is well optimized and runs smoothly without glitches (requires a few days for all the automatic updates to install). The efficient cooling system keeps temperatures low, protecting both the hardware from wearing and your skin from being burnt. It also has a good screen brightness of 300 Nits compared to some cheaper laptops which have a dim 250...Read more
Nit display. Regardless of the brightness, the beautiful gloss screen still makes it nigh impossible to use when reflecting windows and lights. THE GOOD: • Good system optimisation: Great battery life and cool temperatures. • Good quality IPS display with nice colours. • Decent body construction. • Keyboard illumination.Purchased in January 2021 for A$1,600.00.
