Do not buy this brand of TV - High rate of failures!
The cheap ALDI 58” Bauhn Ultra HD TV ended up to be costly for me. I should have read the reviews on this site before buying. The TV was rarely used (ie. vitually in “as new” condition). Yet it was broken just after 12 months (warranty expires). Same problems just like so many reviews here: Blank screen (while the sound was still on).
Furthermore, I had the same problem with the other ALDI 32” Bauhn TV, which ceased to work while still under warranty. ALDI arranged for it to be repaired. Then it was broken again within few weeks. So ALDI arranged to give me a replacement TV.
So the advice from me is not to buy this brand of TV due to unusually high rate of failures.
Purchased in January 2021 at ALDI for A$555.00.

Warranty Repair
Aldi TV I purchase needed repairs. I asked Aldi agent Tempo what was the process. Told to send a photo of the faulty part. I did this only to be told by Tempo not once but repeatedly the TV was not faulty. After threating Tempo with a complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria Tempo finally agreed the TV is broken. Tempo has now agreed to send out a service person to fix it.
I am warning you, do not buy an Aldi TV and expect after-sale service.
Purchased in September 2021 at ALDI for A$490.00.

Wow! Seriously impressed by this TV
This is the 58" 2022 May. version (Black Friday) with HDR.
This is not a smart TV but if you are planning on connecting the TV to any smart box set then it does not matter. I have connected this tv to an Apple TV and the TV handles exceptionally well matching video-quality content.
Colours and 4K quality is good, comparable to big brands. Seriously, the picture quality is comparable if not better than other big brand names (e.g Hisense r7 and Samsung NU8000) - I was particularly impressed with how it handles blacks and grey colours.

It will be junk why buy it
With a chromecast
HI Gwen, we've had ours for 2 years and it's fine. The colors are a bit washed out on the default setting but if you turn the color saturation up it's fine. We're pretty happy with ours, but if we had the money, a Samsung or Sony would have been better.
