We hired a movie on Thursday night at 8:12pm. We then tried accessing the movie at 8:00 pm on the next evening and found that the movie was no longer available. We then called Bigpond Movies, and were put on hold for over an hour and a half. At 9:30pm we were finally able to speak with a consultant in an Australian based call centre. We were advised that there is a known issue with their system. The consultant advised that they would credit our account for the movie that night. Due to the late response, my wife had gone to bed and we will never, and I mean never use Bigpond Movies again. As shareholders we are absolutely disgusted with their poor systems and lack of service.

Therefore our advice is NEVER USE BIGPOND MOVIES.

Used to work fine until some genius at Telstra decided the system needed an upgrade. Now we can't watch a movie without it crashing for some technical reason. Want to get some technical support ? then be prepared to wait for over 30minutes on the phone only to be served by some moron reading from a script in an offshore help desk. Extremely frustrating lack of service and accountability from Telstra. DO NOT waste your money by signing up to this service. Stick to a more reliable streaming service.

This was our favorite movies site it worked really well as long as you have a good network connection, since the UPGRADE ?? it is slow, hard to navigate, etc etc. Who ever organised this upgrade really stuffed it up big time.

When it works it's great but when it doesn't (which is 95% of the time) it's a nightmare. Stops halfway through movies and can take up to an hour to go back to where you left off. Always says some kind of issue with internet, coding or connection. Shame because the idea is great, just poor execution.

We have regular large Telstra bills due to excessive 4 g usage. The excessive usage is due to the wireless not reaching the bedrooms. Tonight we paid for the movie and it crashed 3 times.

Since the upgrade I have had trouble watching movies, adding a credit card or purchasing information. The app times out and have tried calling, but get no help. Tonight's error message is that I now I have too many devices registered to the app??? Four of the five devices are the same device, and one is my Tv.

Terrible! Movies crash half way through and you can't resume them, even after trying for over an hour. Such a waste of money! Don't even bother.

Since the upgrade it doesn't work at all. Either movies don't load, or they load for a couple of seconds and then crash. Everything else working fine so it's definitely the app. So disappointed.

Crap since upgrade. Error message says internet speed is too slow yet I can use Netflix without an issue. Bigpond tech support no help.

Movies stop part way through since upgrade. I have watched 3 movies and all I have had to resume at some point. No issues with Netflix.

I simply cannot understand a reasonably good product with easy access can turn to rubbish overnight. I hope some snappy execs from BigPond are reading these comments and one other thing I left e request for a BP consultant to call back to help with the Telstra ID...6 days later no reply... I stopped using telstra phone services 4 years ago...this reminds me why I did.

Do not waste your time with Bigpond Movies. Before the upgrade it was overpriced for mostly old movies, but it was useable and average.

After the upgrade, the software interface is now slow to load, poorly designed, some fonts merge with backgrounds so are illegible unless you stand a metre from the screen, and the trailers autoplay repeatedly. But the worst thing is that even on a fast internet speed, you cannot begin watching the movie until it is 90% downloaded - and it can take an hour to download!!!! So do not expect to be able to spontaneously pick a movie to watch, or you will still be waiting for it to download long after the popcorn is cold...

Terrible product, do not even look at it. Go to any other competitor instead.

The last two movies I have rented through BigPond have been unwatchable- they freeze every few seconds. I am able to stream via Netflix, OnDemand etc but not on BigPond. Obviously it is a fault of theirs, not my connection. What a waste of money!

For one reason or another, can no longer rent movies under this service. I am paying top dollar but for WHAT?! So that I can have a useless little box which I can now only watch YouTube or channel 7 on.
Not happy Telstra! I've tried EVERYTHING to fix it but clearly to no prevail.

The update to BigPond movies has turned my entire family away from using the product. We used to be a very regular user of the service, but after the update will now only use as a last resort.

After stuffing around with Bigpond Movies complicated passwords etc, I watch a review, decide to watch the movie, and find out it is not available to rent. Wow they have no respect at all for their customers at all.

Waste of money.
Can't even watch the movie properly.
Don't rent movies from bigpond movies!
