Totally awful movie streaming

We brought Wonder Women to watch on Bigpond movies and it took twice as long due to it stopping to load, within a few minutes of each other. A total waste of movie.

The new Bigpond Movies App is Crap !!!!

Since carrying out the obligatory upgrade some 3 weeks ago the app freezes after it loads
I have to power down my TV.
I have called twice now to bigpond movies support to be told that they know of issues with some smart tv but haven't found out how to resolve it.
Crap service.

Utterly useless since the upgrade

We have NBN to the house and every other app on an LG TV works super fast - all except the Bigpond Movies where it will either not load or if it does the vision and the sound are out of sync. Worse still we have been kicked out of the app on some movies with 20 minutes remaining and can't get back in. Never had these issues with the previous app.

this service is utter crap, Never works hired a movie in hd was like watching something on VHS. Everyone needs to Facebook this stuff if I did my job as poorly as bigpond I wouldn't b employed.

New App Useless

Since new App on LG TV. .will not load. Tried using Bigpond Movies help but other than turn off TV at plug no other advice or help. Obviously do not care about customers as we used to use old App on same TV quite often...

We downloaded a movie to rent that was similar cost to a video shop... it wouldnt download properly and kept buffering every 5 seconds or so.
Total waste of time setting up account and money.

Upgrade has rendered Bigpond Useless

Since upgrading to the new version have not watched one movie that hasn't crashed at least 10 times. Prior to upgrade bigpond would have received a much better rating. Agree with other comments, why tease us with ability to buy but can't rent?! Is this bigponds way of trying to capitalise earnings by getting people to buy and not rent. Your plan would have worked somewhat if the service you provided wasn't so useless.

These movies are high cost and massively frustrating site to use....in particular you have to watch out you don't accidentally watch a preview for movie that is not available to rent.. why the hell would you have movies available to buy but not rent.

I been a Clint for Couple years. Since upgrade I have to join in as a new client. Can't connect and so much software problem. Hate it.

Was good now it is a pile of frustration. Wasted money trying to watch 2 movies. Google play works perfectly fine on my smart TV unlike bigpond.

Poor service since bigpond changes

Since the upgrade and changes of BigPond Movies, there has been loads of trouble with buffering. It is painful to watch a movie that you have paid money for. It is extremely slower than before the change. Really not worth the trouble.

Can't download anything - gave up and went over to Stan instead

Spent 30 minutes trying to buy a film. Kept being told I could not buy anything without any payment details despite registering my credit card twice, and despite my credit card being registered under "my payments". Then gave up and tried to use the $6.99 credit bigpond gave me for registering, to rent a film to watch on my smart TV. After 10 minutes of watching the buffering icon for 10 mins I gave up and registered on Stan and within 10 minutes was watching seamless content. I knew anything associated with Telstra would be rubbish, and alas I was right. See you Bigpond / Telstra.

Save your time and money. Had a great experince pre upgrade but now the service is virtually unusable. SD works at times but anytime you select HD you waste your money
Sad given the concept of pay as you go is one I love.

I spent over 1 hour trying to log back into my BigPond Telstra account this weekend. Really poor user experience.

Watched one movie. That was OK. Went to their website to ask questions and couldn't remember my password so got the run a round from two different people. No one could help me with anything. It was just pass the parcel and still nothing was resolved. I never wanted this Telstra box in the first place but they sent it anyway so I plugged it in. Now I can't use the bigpond movies because the password is such a huge secret that no one can know about it even me. I've tried several times to change it but it won't let me. How are you to watch the movies then? Piece of rubbish and absolutely no help from Bigpond.

Rented a movie for the first (and last) time. It showed the buffering icon around 20+ times, including about 6 times where the icon flickered on and off (some weird bug) and you needed to reset the movie and then fast forward to where it left off.
Great family experience NOT!!!!!
Anyway, I won't be renting again. Maybe an ex Netflix network specialist can provide a consulting service.

Since I Upgraded to windows10, every movie I have watched so far had many interruptions. I use windows explorer as Microsoft edge and google chrome don't work with bigpond movie plug in. How can this be fixed?

I stream bigpond thru my tv not the computerso not sure how to help you there but you could try using the latest internet cable "cat 6a" much faster and more bandwidth connect it between modem and computer cost about $11 /3metre
I like to use google play for movies can download instead of stream so I can view on any device

I rang telstra because I couldn't view with my google chrome anymore and they told me that it was no longer compatible so I had to install Mozilla because I don't like Internet explorer or Edge. Google chrome used to work though.
