Love it
I'm happy with the vaccume. You have to keep up with cleaning the filters though otherwise performance over time is notable.
The vaccume pulls itself along and does a grand job.
Negatives-
The attachments aren't as effective as I'd hoped on my couches.
Sometimes the hose pops out of the base, remedied by giving it more slack where you click it to the vaccume body.
Positives-
Good suction
Nice seeing all of the fur lifted, quite surprising
Easy to use and glides along effortlessly
I have a golden Labrador so I use this everyday... when it eventually dies I will replace it with another of these. I love it.

Fantastic Power Reliable VAcuum
I Love this vacuum I think it is the best vacuum that I have every owned, it has lots of power and as I have four cats it removes cat hair seamlessly, it is easy to access and gets very close to the wall dust, I highly recommended this vacuum to pet owners.
July 20th 2017 Update:
Awesome product very happy with the power to remove the cat hair off my carpets and rugs. It is also easy to take apart the cylinder for easy cleaning. I would highly recommend to any pet owner for a reliable vacuum cleaner. The only thing would be good to have a retractable cord.

Bought this to clean carpets and rugs, including pet hairs, which my current cylinder vac with turbo brush makes madde little impression on...
Paid around $200- which makes it one of the cheapest uprights around.
The Powerlifter does everything I bought it for, lifting the white pet hair on the surface and dirt and hairs deep in the carpet as well,, much better than my previous machine, and better than you would expect from a basic machine.
Main complaint is that it fills the dirt container too quickly., as only the bottom section of what...Read more

My brush roll has snapped and I cannot find a replacement part for the 1521f model. Will rollers from other model numbers fit?

When I bought my vacuum cleaner a spare brush roller was included (and I have not needed to use it yet). I bought my product on Ebay from Good Guys maybe you could check with The Good Guys or contact Bissell directly..good luck.
