Does the job
Cleans well and easy to manoeuvre. So far I used it to clean the carpets in the entire unit, living room and two bedrooms. I used it to remove coffee stains and wine stains as well. The bottle of water only sufficient to cover just about 3 square metres and should be refilled. A little difficult to clean after use. Apart from that, I've had no other problems.

Excellent purchase
I only have floor rugs, but have pets. Finally tried my Bissell out and must say I am quite impressed by it's performance. Have been a longtime user of Vax barrel cleaners (30yrs) and this leaves the carpet clean and impressively dry. Very easy to use and clean up is a breeze (once I worked out how to empty the 'dirty' tank)
Only just purchased it during Master's closing down sale, hopefully it will continue to work as well as it has. - will amend this review if i strike difficulties like some of the others are saying.

Major faults, water kept pouring out of the machine
Bissell replaced the same part 4 times and the same issue continues. Took months at a time to get the part, so we use it a total of two times.. Now out of warranty period and they won't do anything :(

Alright, but maintenance disappointing
After using my first Readyclean Bissell Powerbrush, the trigger broke, so returned it to the shop and, under the 2 years product care agreement for which I had paid extra, was provided with a replacement. The first time I used it, to cover a smallish area, it was fine and I was really pleased. However the next day when I used it, I noticed less mixture went onto the carpet, so, although it was a little damp, it obviously wasn't penetrating the fibres. The carpet is a wool Berber. After each use I cleaned it to the best of my ability; howeve...Read more
r there were many areas, particularly around the rotating brush, that were impossible to clean as it was all connected by screws. I have just used it again, and, once more after covering around a couples of metres of carpet, less liquid appeared to be coming out and the container was was still half full. I thought that perhaps the feeder nozzle was clogged; however the only way to see was to remove everything, including the screws. At last I was able to give all the parts a thorough clean, however, after all that, there was nothing wrong with the nozzle. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the so called User's Guide is pretty useless. The photos are an abomination! Being in black and white is not helpful when trying to distinguish the different parts especially on the Cleaning After Use. The photos are so small and the rest of the page blank; where is the sense in that? I am exhausted and feel it is hardly worth all the hassle. An expensive lesson, I fear.Similar opinion? Absolutely hopeless unit, leaks water all over my carpet
I have had this shampooer for nearly 2 years, only used it about 5 times in total, first couple of times it worked ok but I had dark brown carpets so it was difficult for me to see whether or not it was cleaning them properly. Moved into a property with cream wool carpets, they were soiled in places when I moved in, used the bissell on them and it made them look worse than what they looked in the first place. Left wet marks all over the carpet even when dry I can still see water marks. I left it on my carpet with water in the canister and when ...Read more
I returned 5 minutes later there was a huge water stain under it. It is obviously leaking from somewhere so I have now been reduced to use it without any water in the canister and instead use a spray bottle and manually wet the carpets this way and use the bissell to suck it up - well this method doesn't work either as the suction is terrible on the machine and will only suck up very wet carpet. The attached hand held upholstery cleaner is useless too, tried it on my cream linen couches and it didn't make a difference, all it did was wet them and make them smell bad. Wish I never bought it, I have since hired the rug doctor machine and this has cleaned my carpets 100x better than the bissell ever did.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Stunning machine. I used it on older, flatter, pale grey carpet and it came up brilliantly. My main task, though, was a plush living room rug which has dogs on it every night. BOOM! it was filthy (who knew?) and now looks like the day I got it. A joy to use, too.

Cross Action Brush - Not Good
I needed to replace an old, leaky Vax so bought the Ready Clean from the Bissell outlet store online as an ex-demo which made it cheaper. Glad I didn't spend the full amount. The cross action brush is basically useless. I have gone over stains more than half a dozen times and can still see the stain. My old Vax had a power brush that spun, 2-3 passes and the stain was gone and the carpet was noticeable cleaner. I don't have a problem with Bissell but if you're going to get a carpet shampooer, at least get one with a power brush as they work 100...Read more
% better than these cross action brushes that only move when you push the vacuum. *Suction is good, brush is bad. Rotating power brushes are much more effective. *Very light weight, good value when purchased as an ex demo. *Cleaning solution leaves carpet 'crusty' when dry. Need to clean again with water only.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great little unit
Our house has dogs inside so the carpets take a bit of a beating. This unit picked up far more dirt and dog hair than I imagined. I would even go so far as to say the results are as good as some of the bigger hire machines without the dramas of the hoses etc.
Nice, compact, easy to use and clean. Well worth the money as it pays for itself after probably only two uses.

Excellent for the money
For the price $183 bucks it is a great little machine.
Our carpets aren't too dirty only 3 rooms are carpeted but needed something to keep em clean and fresh.
Its a little noisy and the tank is tiny but with 2 refills per room it does a spectacular job considering this is an entry level machine.
I made my own cleaning solution (just to see if it will work) combined a teaspoon of napisan couple drops of dish soap and disloved in hot water then topped off with half white vinegar rest hot water.
Did a better job then the branded stuff.
As mentioned in the other review only half wet the stroke otherwise its too wet.
All in all once again for the $ great little thing.

Great buy!
Read the reviews and though it was worth a try on our grotty carpets instead of getting a paid carpet cleaner in for about the same price. Fantastic results on the carpet under our dining table. It was able to remove stains that had been in the carpet for at least 6 months. Would certainly recommend.
Easy to use, value for money, and good results.
a bit plasticy but price is cheap probably as a result.

Does the job!!
Affordable, cleans well, overall great product :D, Couldnt believe the dirt that it pulled out of the carpet, great for those spills that just happen, I looked at alot of machines and im very happy that I found this one and its a bonus that I can clean the hard floors as well
Water tank needs to be filled often, but what do you expect for a small tank

Great product! Worth every penny.
Picked this up for $170 from my local Good guys store.
Carpet Cleaner -
Used it on my lounge room carpet. The dirt it picked up was amazing, especially considering my carpet didn't look very dirty to begin with, just a few spots here and there! It also lifted a lot of hair and fur from my short pile carpet that I was able to vacuum up after it had dried. I had pre-vacuumed, so I was shocked that there was any hair or dirt left in my carpet. It really did a great job and I was happy with the result. It took 24-36 hours for the wet dog smel...Read more

Does a good job, but is a bit slow
We had our carpets "professionally" cleaned 2 months ago and now they are filthy again. It must have been dodgy detergent making the dirt stick, or the cleaner did not extract the detergent correctly.
And I wasn't going to spend $150 again on another professional.
This carpet shampooer does a good job although I had to go over the dirty areas several times to get them clean. The machine really pulls dirt, hair and fluff out of the carpet and even the clean areas left the water looking brown and dirty. The carpet came up as clean as the "prof...Read more

Great Product
Easy machine to use & removes pet stains easily. I recommend this product but dont buy if you want a machine that does carpets and hard floors in one. Although I went easy on the water for the hard floor it doesnt pick the water up as easily as it does on the carpet (with the special hard floor nozzle you clip on). The water pools on the floor leaving you to get a mop to mop up the pools of water. I would recommend however if you want a budget, easy to use machine for carpets and rugs. My floor rug had lots of spills from kids and they ca...Read more
ll came out leaving me with a rug looking like brand new (its a grey colour) I don't know if you would get same results with a light colour rug??? My machine was purchased from Hoppers Crossing - The Good Guys. They were unhelpful and offered no assistance what so ever - So I wouldnt recommend going to that store. Easy to use, lifts stubborn stains from coffee spills and pet mess. Noisy, Water runs out quickly, Dont bother with the hard floor cleaning - It leaves pools of water on tiles.Similar opinion? Not as good as professional cleaners but does the job well
Bought this for plush pile carpet, it's hard to tell if it does a great job as my carpet is brown in colour. The used water that came out was quite dirty looking so it must have cleaned them ok, I just can't see the difference. I also have used the upholstery tool on my cream couches and it didn't do a thing, just made them wet - the vacuum on the upholstery nozzle is not that powerful. Over all, it's easy to use and I can generally do a decent size bedroom with only 1 refill. Although the Bissell carpet shampoo is a bit expensive ($20 a litre)...Read more
it lasts a long time as you only need to add a small amount to the water. Easy to use, water efficient, carpets dry quickly after use Hose gets in the way when cleaning, slight flimsy feel about it, upholstery tool uselessSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wonderful product
I used this product for the first time today and am now wondering why I didn't buy one sooner! The heavy traffic area near my front door was nearly black and now is back to the natural carpet colour after very little effort! Unbelievable that an appliance has worked so well. I was expecting some improvement but nothing like this. Can't speak highly enough of this carpet cleaner.
Easy to use, efficiently removes dirt and stains, easy to empty and clean

Bissell ReadyClean Deep Cleaner BS39Q6F
Bought this a few months ago from my local Harvey Norman store. ..... thought this part was rather painful, I wish I'd bought one sooner... This thing is fantastic. Does a great job cleaning after your pets.. Quick and so easy to use. What's not to love. Would highly recommend this.
Efficient, does great job, inexpensive, easy to clean afterwards.
