The best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned
This is such a practical and versatile unit. It is relatively light on my back but more importantly it's so easy to use.
I no longer have to pull around or trip over a barrel.
The cord is long enough for me to vacuum from one end of my home to the other without having to change power points.
The suction is excellent and the nozzle and wand is so light I never get tired arms.
I also purchased the Clean Up Turbo Brush from Catch of The Day for a bargain and it is great on carpets. The standard head that comes with the PV900 is excellent for tiled or hard floors but it tends to drag on carpet so that's where the Turbo Brush comes in to good use.
I will never go back to a standard vacuum cleaner again.
Purchased in October 2021 at Godfreys for $329.00.

Great but a couple of annoying things
Use is on all floor surfaces as a cleaning business. Happy with suction, comfort, back air vent, two power levels, length of lead.
After only a few weeks the paint started to chip off the handle. Cosmetic only. Biggest annoyance is separating the handle to use tube in narrow spaces. Shiny handle has no grip. Also, purchased turbo head because when I tested vac in store the gulped just pushed debris across the hard floor. Now I can't get the turbo head off the pole because of the lack of grip. Very happy with cleaning capacity though. Sure beats pulling a machine along, especially up stairs and in rooms crowded with furniture and loose rugs.
Purchased in September 2021 at Godfreys for $400.00.

Good but flaws
I have had this for about 1 year. Used as a commercial machine on building sites. Sucks up leaves, nails, dust etc no problems. The suction is separate to the motor so it will last for sucking up fine dust etc which kills motors. The suction is not as good as your domestic vacuum because of this feature.
Suction does suffer when the bag becomes partly full, so replacement generic bag changes are a must, several per job.
Cons: Straps are difficult for people with limited mobility. The rubberised paint on the pipe flakes off and drops everywhere. On/Off switch should be on a fly lead so it can be reached easily. Tool belt would be handy for attachments.
Purchased in June 2021 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $320.00.

Bought this little beauty for my business as a trial - tested it out in an unforgiving environment (aka teenagers' bedrooms) & am blowed away with the efficiency. It doesn't even feel like you're vacuuming! Love the fact that the handle can extend-super suitable for taller users. Can't wait to order additional stock for the business.

Best on the market!!
The Pullman is fantastic! I own 2 of these for the business looking at more.
Light weight And durable they have great suction I can't fault them. The whole harness system is comfortable, very padded with 2 clips that hold the vacuum securely in place.
A big thumbs up from me.

Horrible, not a commercial vacuum
We purchased this Pullman back pack vac after our light weight 10L one stuffed up- lost suction lost it rubber strip underneath the head of the vacuum. Had it for a month and this started to happen. Complained got it changed to a PV900 back pack vac. Just as bad!
Lost suction lost its rubber strip under the head. Lid keeps popping off. Dust and rubbish keep getting under the filter into the motor part!
Complete waste of money, bought it for our business ( cleaners ) has caused us headaches and does not do the job!
Severely disappointed will never buy a pullman again and would advise all my friends and family and anyone else not to do so!
don’t say commercial when they only last you about a month!!!

This is powerful and good, but not durable.
Its harness was broken and torn after 1 year's use. I asked warranty service but it was rejected.
They said
"Warranty is only on electrical not on physical item, such as worn or broken or tear.
However we sales the harness on our website and you can purchase them complete"
So, I bought a harness for about $100 to replace it. I don't understand why physical items like harness is not for warranty. Do you?

Great features and benefits but could be more powerful
Easy to use, clean and maintain. Fairly compact. Reasonably priced. I can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design - every button and hook etc. is cleverly placed. I would like a slightly deeper clean but I understand that I would likely pay more for that, which is reasonable.

Good professional vacuum.
I bought the Pullman PV900 for my subcontract cleaning business and very happy with it. It has strong suction on either the turbo setting or eco setting and good filters. I like how it sits on your back and how easy it is too adjust and how it has a button so you can adjust the straps up and down for better comfort whether you are tall, medium or short. The long power cord is great so most jobs I can leave it plugged in and do the entire floor area without the need for an extension cord or to re-plug it in another point. 2 year warranty is grea...Read more
t for a commercial vacuum. It isn't too noisy either like some I have used and the blower comes in handy for window & door tracks and cleaning off patios, balconies and front door areas where I would normally have to sweep or vacuum up. The Gulper head is really great and gets in to tight corners and under furniture. I also like how it anti-vibration absorbers and an ventilation system so your back doesn't get hot. The belt has belt eyelets so the crevice tool or head can be hung off the belt for convenience. It comes with 5 paper bags not the standard 2 and has a cloth bag already in it. It also has a separate outlet for the power head but I don't have the power head yet cause it doesn't come with this machine. There are lots of features this machine has and I did my research and for the price, performance and other reviews I read, this was the best choice for my needs and Godfreys was very helpful too which is where I bought it from.Similar opinion? Big change up from the basic pullman
I have used the (yellow) pullman backpack for 2 years. Finally my frustration made me go back to Godfreys and see what was new to the market. I walked from the store with a new commander 900. The first vacuum was lifting a heavy rug cleaning with 1 stroke pulling backwards and lifting the carpet pile upstairs. It is excellent and the ergonomics are better. The machine sucks in cool air for your lower back. The cord length is 18 metres and it easier to empty the canister, previously the clips were front and back, now they are at the sides. The o...Read more
nly downside from its first use was the 2 piece wand came apart a couple of times whereas previously the wand was a telescopic version which makes it more useful on stairs and more compact for putting away. I also have a dyson stick v6 but 20 minutes charge works against it although it's a great machine and to buy the newest v10 cannot compare to what I paid for the commander 900 and the type of work I use it for my cleaning business August 14th 2022 Update: 3rd review of the commander 90 I have now used this back pack vac for nearly 2 years. It's suction power and wand are excellent but you need to purchase the narrow head and brush tools separately. I have a cleaning business so it gets a workout. I am happy to recommend this product again to help people make a better decision based on an actual userPurchased in March 2021 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $399.00.

good for work
powerful cleaning tool for commercial use.
there is two models to use, general and powerful. General is the most common model i used, im pretty sure its enough for use on general cleaning. Powerful model is just awesome.
i like the design of pv900, light and easy to walk around.

A new toy to try - teething stages
I have used back pack vacuums for a long time now and recently purchased the Pullman Challenger model. Let's start with the negatives if you'd call it that. In the past I'd always felt that the length of the vacuum hard hose was too short, this one seems too long, but maybe I am just not used to that. The suction is brilliant. I highly recommend an attachable Cyclone turbo dust separator. This attaches to the main hard stem and collects dust and debris allowing ease in removing and emptying this smaller filter and saving on bag filters in the m...Read more
ain unit. The backpac unit is well padded and extremely comfortable. The suction is quite strong and you do need to have it on a specific angle when on carpet. The Pullman Advance also has the added advantage of a blower for clearing away leaves on patio's and entrance ways.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great versatile machine
This is a short term review of my initial impressions as, I only just brought it.
I chose the Pullman backpack because I have a large 2 level house with hard floors and wanted something easier than a pull along. Plus wanted to get my kids using it and a backpack seemed the best option functionally. I asked my office cleaner what he thought of them and he raved about them so I brought it. Benefits
- price $350 but most shops will knock a few $$$ off
-HEPA filter - we has asthmatics in the house so I wanted a HEPA filter
- long cord
- relatively powerful
-relatives light
-relatively quiet

Sounded way better than Pacvac but not so sure.
Pacvac can be easier to put on if you ignore the stomach band but all clipped in to the Pullman feels ok...had heaps of suction out of the box(had to have the vent open to stop it sucking onto the floor too much) but after two weeks use its still ok but definitely not as good...really need to keep the bag clean to maintain the suction...seems to have lost a lot of suction due to the little plastic strips breaking off the bottom of the vacuum head...one of the reasons I wanted it was for the blower but pretty useless...wish I could have demoed i...Read more
t at the shop but they didn't have one in stock at the time...live and learn I guess...jury is still out...maybe it'll be ok if it lasts for ages even though I'm using it on turbo mode most of the timeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Avoiding a bad back
As managers of a Motel we use a vacuum cleaner every day. After much research online we selected the Pullman backpack. Wow it has incredible suction, with a slim head that gets in under the beds. On turbo it really grabs the carpet and picks up the tiniest bits of fluff and debris. But it weighs a ton. It is cumbersome to wear and frightfully hot on your back in the humidity. As it is difficult to carry, we tend to load it on our back and walk to the first room, but the shape and size of the barrel makes it almost impossible to get through the d...Read more
oorways. Once on your back, you cannot reach the cord properly, and after a short time I cannot wear it any more. My partner is taller and has a larger frame and tends to wear it more than I do but he is now complaining of a perpetually sore back. None of our house keeping staff will wear it due to the weight. It was not cheap, and we wish now we had researched longer and found something much lighter.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
