Great tent, horrible poles and "lifetime" warranty a joke
The tent is a good design, good quality material tent. Light and airy, easy to set up. Floor is durable and waterproof. Waterproofing has lasted the 1.5 yrs of use.
Tent poles on the other hand are cheap, thin fibreglass that broke within a year. Warranty does not cover tent poles, evidently.

layout good but poles are not durable
Pros: layout, space and sizing is all quite good. Its easy to take up and down, good, large vestibule
Cons: poles are quite thin. One segment split (like bamboo) on third use. The real problem came when attempted to get a replacement through the lifetime warranty. Contacted Black Wolf first, they said to contact the retailer. The retailer was good, got a replacement shock cord from them in a week and they stated that Black Wolf had agreed to send out a pole segment that we could cut to suit. That never arrived. Let retailer know (as they...Read more
had done everything they could and were quite responsive) but so disappointed in Black Wolf. Our previous tent (OzTrail) had been a fraction of the price and had withstood some pretty heavy winds unlike this one that broke in the bag.

Smart design, great quality, certainly worth a look.
We purchased this tent for an overland touring trip so it had to be relatively lightweight, compact and easy to erect and dismantle as we would only be over-nighting in most places. We originally looked at the quick erect spring loaded metal frame designs including the Black Wolf Turbo range. After researching the specs and seeing both styles and examples in the flesh we went for the far less expensive, more compact and lighter Tanami 6. It arguably also has more useable space than the other styles as well with a large enough vestibule for chan...Read more
ging, bathing etc. The ventilation features are well designed with a vertical flow through arrangement but the tent will get hot in full sun with all the zips and flaps closed. Especially if the privacy screen on the large front 'door' is not open. The side vents and side door access is brilliant allowing extra airflow and alternate access points reducing the claustrophobic feeling one can experience in a tent. When fully pegged the tent does not flap and is quite windproof. We watched a small willy willy hit the tent side on and the frame flexed amazingly and reverted to shape when it had passed with no dramas. The quality of all materials, zips etc are excellent but I would suggest purchasing stronger after market pegs; especially if visiting areas like the Flinders Ranges! The tension in the segmented fibreglass poles is set so they will self lock when aligned which makes erection a pretty simple process. Attaching the top velcro strap on the top cross of the diagonal frame and the top clips onto the frame requires a bit of height and strong fingers with this model. The small velcro strap which aligns and secures the fly to the ends of the top cross member at each side are fiddly and require concentration to secure blind. While this model can be erected by 1 (taller) person, getting the fly over the frame can be tricky in windy conditions and is easier with 2 people. We got very good at removing and folding the fly without it touching the ground. While there would be room for stretcher beds in this model we found two king single 4wd self inflatables worked fine with plenty of room for clothes luggage bags etc and you can walk on the bed if need be. While we did endure a couple of rainy nights we never had a deluge to give the tent a real test. However, at no time did the fly look like leaking and is set far enough away from the living compartment to avoid contact. The fly did take a long time to shed water and become dry enough to pack. In the end we used a combination of beating and wiping with a bath towel to get the water drops to shed off the fly. The lightweight woven black poly floor is prone to punctures from sharp sticks and stones, and tends to attract both dust and heat. An extra groundsheet underneath and some door mats could be a good investment.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
I did a lot of research before we chose Black Wolf for our new tent & it definitely lives up to expectations. This is a really well made roomy tent with quality fittings & a decent amount of head room in the main sleeping area. A 4 person tent that you could probably get 4 people in comfortably.

Absolutely love this tent!
I bought this 3-man tent for myself and my boyfriend for camping holidays and festivals over Aussie summer. Requirements were: spaciousness, large vestibule with ground sheet included and most importantly, ventilation. We have just returned from a week's camping in a range of weather and I absolutely love it! Loads of options regarding ventilation so we were really cool in the sun - you can pretty much open it on all sides and retain a level of privacy too. Lots of pockets inside. The vestibule is fantastic and can store heaps of stuff; its att...Read more
ached ground sheet is a real feature that I recommend. Seems to be of good quality but only time will tell. Easy to put up (don't forget the velcro bits) and pack away. Very pleased and would definitely recommend! Bought mine at a steal from hiking.com.au but they don't seem to stock it any more. Great ventilation; large vestibule with ground sheet; spacious; good price Very slightly heavier than other 3-man tentsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does this tent have a durable sealed floor?
1 answer
It has a lightweight black woven poly floor (just like the common tarps and trailer covers). I wouldn't call it extra special but it keeps the weight down. I would imagine that it will puncture if you set up on sharp thorns or rocks. We have found it serviceable for our needs but would be careful on wet ground with foam or highly absorbent bedding which may wick moisture through from underneath.

How much does it weigh?

Depends on which size tent you want - most listings will tell you, just do a search. The TA3V result is here: http://www.campingcentral.com.au/black-wolf-tanami-delta-3ev-classic-hiking-camping-tent/
