Leaks
I got a Bobble water bottle about three years ago as a present and I was super excited about it because I travel a lot and it seemed fantastic to have safe water available at all times in a sustainable ways. Almost as soon as I started using it, however, I began noticing that it would leak whenever I would put it in a bag/packpack (once even leaked on my laptop while on the plane) and so the only way to actually use it is to hold it in my hands whenever there is any water inside. This, as you can imagine, is far from ideal; the only reason I am...Read more
still using it is to prevent more plastic entering the environment but, frankly, I am dreaming of the day it will finally break and I will be able to buy a bottle I can actually put in my bag guilt free. As for its water filtering abilities, I cannot comment - the water neither looks nor tastes differently but for all I know that's a good thing and means the bottle is doing its job in that regard.Similar opinion? I love this water bottle.
I have used bobble water filter bottles from the 1st time I saw them in the shops. I love them. I have bought them for all my family. I even take an empty 1 overseas, fill & use it while away.
I love the fact that I can keep 're using the same bottle even if I need to replace the filter. It's also great knowing the plastic will not give off harmful gasses if I leave it on my car on a hot day.

Beware!
I'm travelling and trying to be a little environmental friendly... just to find out that my Bobble bottle (which contained maybe 100ml of water) leaked inside my bag all over my laptop and book. Just awful!
If you ever use this bottle, make sure you hold it in your hands and never put it in a bag with devices or anything valuable.

I love this product! Where can I buy a new one in Melbourne!!!???
We have been using the Bobble product for over 6 years. We've not been able to find a better refillable water bottle. Its hardy, robust & given I keep dropping it - I only ever had 1 bottle crack on me. Thats amazing.
Also the filters last for ages. I used to buy them off the shelf in Woolies - no more :(
I'm so dismayed that this wonderful product is no longer stocked anywhere that I can find in Australia - or online that isn't sold through a 'doggy' website.
If anyone knows where I can find it (other than Selfridges in the UK) please post!

Filter lid/neck always cracks within 2-3 weeks.
These cheapskates who make these bottles knew about the faulty lid design when it was first marketed, but they decided not to spend a couple of thousand dollars doing a simple redesign and changing out the die (used to mold the lid). Instead they chose to keep the dodgy lid design knowing that most people will have to buy a new filter every few weeks because they crack easily. The owners of this company should be brought up on criminal charges.

Great design.
I love this bottle and it keeps disappearing from Woolies. I've been using them on and off for a few years but wish they were supplied consistently as I prefer to buy a new bottle every 6 weeks or so. I like the hard plastic bottle and sports cap. It's a good size and lightweight. Coles now stock the new Brita filter bottle which is difficult to actually drink from, too big and they've also ripped off the coloured lid and hard plastic design of Bobbl. Really surprised (and a bit suspicious) to see bad reviews of the Bobbl.

Good sturdy bottle
I bought the sports version so the plastic is that softer one not usual one on regular bottles. Feels sturdier and doesnt make me think it will crack when dropped. Filters well from what I can see. Only just bought bottle so not sure where to get refills now that they seem to have stopped selling these in the shops.

3 of 3 bottles have leaked and broken.
I have given this brand 3 chances i.e.: I have bought 3 bottles over the last few years.
The filter lid cracked on the first two bottles I purchased. After only a few weeks. But the lid never felt like it was on. So I continued to tighten the lid, and it would shatter. This was on the largest size bottle.
Recently in July 2017, I purchased the smaller half size bottle. Doing my best to forgive and forget. Again, the lid did not actually fit, and the entire bottle of water leaked through my handbag. The lid couldn't be on any tighter, it was screwed in properly and square, but still it leaked.
I will no longer purchase these water bottles. The lid system is awful, prone to leaks and breaks.

Love it
I love bobble bottles and buy a new one every few weeks. I've noticed Coles and target stock them occasionally but not consistently. Much prefer this hard plastic and design to other soft plastic brands which end up making the water taste of plastic. Can't understand why they aren't more widely available.

The filter keeps cracking
Gone through 3 filters so far and all cracked around the same area just below the lift up mouth piece. Seems like the force of lifting the mouthpiece makes it crack horizontally. Also the quality vary as the first 2 filters were very hard to drink from as they had very slow flow. Has to untwist the filter a little to get water flowing at decent rate for drinking. Third one was quicker and when I thought it was a good one this time round it suffered the same fate as it's 2 predecessors- cracked.

Have had mine for 3 years and still does the trick
I honestly have never had an issue drinking from this bottle or the 1ltr one I have. I love the design (it's cute!) and the colourful filters. The bottle is flexible so you can gently squeeze it, not crumple it up! Yes there is a sucking sound but I suppose thats just the filter doing its thing. I don't understand all these negative reviews. I think Bobble is a great product

Have had mine for almost 2 years and hasn't failed
I like them! The bottle is thick plastic so doesn't crinkle / dent easily, filters are easy to find and the cost for a whole new bottle is pretty cheap even when not on sale. The only thing that bugs me is that the plastic filter top can get scratched easily, which is a bit of a pain to clean but a toothbrush does the trick. I got mine 75% off (paid $5 from woolies) so won't hear me complaining!
Gonna get some more for travel!

Hard to drink
Loved the idea of the filter however the effort put in to drink the water is terrible. At start I was having to squeeze the bottle to get some water as drinking/sucking was really pointless. Now a couple of weeks on I can hardly get any water. Mind you I only put filtered water in the bottle (yes double filtered). I'm unscrewing the cap every time I want a sip.

Good idea, poorly executed
At first I loved the aesthetics of the bottle and thought it was a great, simple idea that would curb wastage and my penchant for buying botted water when out and about. I purchased two bottles and have kept neither.
The filter on mine somehow stopped worked on mine at some point as no water would flow through. It was like drawing blood from a stone. Then, my husband's bottle began to warp with use (and no, it wasn't left in the sun, or frozen etc.). I thought the bottle design was quite ergonomic for holding in your hand but slowly found it didn't fit any standard bottle holders in bikes, prams, cars etc.
Waste of money!

Bottle crumpled and tasted bad
I bought one of these bottles cause it looked like fun, bad idea. The filter makes the water taste horrible and I put hot water through to rinse like I always do and the plastic crumpled so much I threw it away. Woried how it reacts with water when you're drinking from it

Prefer Powerade bottle
Worst drink bottle I have ever had. Leaks everywhere, had to remove the filter to actually get some water coming through. Strange shape that fits nothing, also is more expensive. Recommended to people who enjoy there shirt being wet everytime you take a sip. There really isn't anything good to say about this bottle, I'm stumped that in the modern age that this kind of poor product still exists.

Best way to save the environment
ive got about 6 of these bottles bothe sizes, removes the bad taste from tap water and smell. ive had no issues with the bottles personally. i have no idea what the other reviewers are on about, especially with the wheezy noise... umm its a filter people its going to make some noise! i havnt bought bottled water since ive got the bobble, only a few times when ive left mine at home. the only downside is the bottle is a litte too wide for car cup holders if they made a skinnier bottle version that would be great!

Bad Taste
We bought this bottle for my kid to use for summer camp. Typically they refill bottles from any drinking fountain and bathroom sink available. The bobble water tasted so bad it left what can only be described as a bitter film all over the inside of my mouth and throat. The bad tasting texture did not go away for some time. This bobble may have cleaned the water, but to what end? The only good news is that we were able to remove the filter and use the bottle as a regular bottle. We are extremely disappointed in the bobble product.

Bad product with even worse customer service
I brought 3 of these bottles at the start of the new school year. 2 of the filters cracked within a couple of weeks. I contacted bobble who responded promptly asking for photos and then promising to send replacement filters. It has been over 2 months and still no filters. I have emailed 3 times and had no response. So I'm guessing by most of the other reviews that the product is very poorly made and they have complaints a plenty. I had previously brought these bottle and found them great, I certainly won't touch them again.

Works great!
There's a lot of negative reviews here and I'm not sure we're reviewing the same product... I purchased the smaller-sized classic Bobble for only $10, and it's been great! I can honestly say I've never had an issue drinking from this bottle, it's easy and I get plenty of water per mouthful. I haven't had any horrible sucking sounds either. One of my favourite perks about my Bobble is that it doesn't leak at all, which makes it perfect for carrying around in my bag at uni all day! The bottle is somewhat flexible, but as another reviewer stated t...Read more
his is so you can squeeze it. I've never gone against the natural squeezing shape & always squeezed it gently, and I've never had any problems with the plastic breaking. Another thing I like about my Bobble is the stylish design. I don't think Bobble deserves all these negative reviews, mine is great and I would defiantly purchase again.Similar opinion? Why does my Bobble Bottle leak???!!!! This situation has ruined some paperwork. It is not leakproof. The mouthpiece is also too hard to open! I am very dissatisfied and cannot find an e-mail address to contact in the UK!

Because it's very poorly designed! Mine leaked over my old netbook while travelling, luckily it was inside a spongy soft sleeve that absorbed most of the water (my new laptop has got a waterproof sleeve! Lesson learned) and over many other things over the time, with many different filters.... it wasn't the case of a filter being faulty, they were all bad as poorly designed.
I also agree it's very hard to open and you either touch it with your hands (which are not always clean if you're around, on public transport or hiking, or risk to break your teeth).
Now I only use my Bubble bottle at home, to keep on my desk or in the kitchen, but I never ever pack it in my bag, not even my gym bag, because it's just crappy.
I am glad it wasn’t just me being a ‘numpty’! However I would still like to know who I can complain to in the UK. Does anybody know please?

Are the bobble water bottles still in production? I've been unable to buy replacement filters for mine, I've been to Woolworths, Coles, Target and Big W, and had no luck finding the filters.

I've had my bobble for about a week now. One day after I bought it, it did leak water all over my bag but have not had that problem since. Yesterday, however, the carbon flitter started leaking carbon all into the bottle. Anyone else with this problem?
