Reusable and stylish, but there are downsides.

published

I absolutely love the design and the range of amazing colours, but the bottle is hard to squeeze and you only get a little bit out a time. The bottle also wheezes when you stop squeezing it and you can make a dent by squeezing it too hard. Overall a disappointment but still decent.
Design, colours, filter, cap
Hard to squeeze, little bit of water at a time, noisy, dentable.

Leaks, wheezes, and requires you to gulp water as it comes out

published

The original bottle (several years ago) had a harder plastic and didn't seem to have the problems I encounter now with Bobble. I use one at work, and the bottle wheezes like an old man with emphesema every time you drink from it (which is really embarrassing). The water does not flow out regularly, but with large gulps and air bubbles, which makes it very unpleasant to drink from.

My husband made the mistake of again (despite me telling him all of their products are likely to be [censored word removed]) buying from the bobble range, getting the Bobble Hot. Suffice to say, it leaks everywhere, yet somehow only trickles out a pathetic amount of water when trying to drink from it. These products are a waste of money.

Wouldn't bother

The bottle looks cool which is what drew me to this brand. But in all seriousness it's pretty [censored word removed]. You get stuff all water through it, just little sips. And 8 out of 10 times it leaks all over you. Waste of money in my opinion. Don't bother with the jug either. It's just as [censored word removed].

Spills and makes a heap of Noise

published

I must have gotten a faulty one because it constantly spills! and when i do get some water out without it going all over my pants it make a suction noise that leaves people wondering what i'm doing at my desk... in short the functionality is poor. three more words to 50.
it holds water (sort of)

Poorly Designed Bottle

published

It looks very cool, and the thin plastic keeps the bottle light. Unfortunately, it's the same plastic that you'd use on a coke, but even thinner, so it very easily creases after repeated squeezings. The filter has problems passing through water quickly enough, and the noise is amusing enough at first before the 50th drink and you're over it. You can't put it through the dishwasher, and I found after a few washes the plastic had begun to discolour.

Honestly, buy a hard plastic or metal bottle instead. The Brita Fill&Go I bought to replace it was the same price and much more durable.
Cool design, lightweight
Very flimsy, poor water flow, expensive, lots of filter waste

Not worth the $$

published

The booble water bottle looks cool and comes in a good range of colours but it is so hard to use! You would not want to be dying of thirst with is water bottle around. You have to squeeze the thing with 2 hands to eat a drink out of it and the noise it makes is disruptive.
It isn't possible to suck the water I you have to squeeze and wait, it's slow to come out and not at all worth the $17 I paid for it.
Range of colours
Over priced, noisy, hand to drink from

Stylish and efficient

published

Mine is perfect and stylish, a great water bottle. Dont know what everyone else is whinging about, It doesnt leak, it's easy to drink out of, Yes its a flexible bottle, so that you can squeeze it. If you squeeze it in the wrong place, you will crease or break it. it was $10. a bottle of water is about $2, so even if it only last 20 uses, thats still a saving, and the water gets filtered. It seems the other reviewers dont know how to use a filter water bottle, and dont know how to buy replacement parts. Thats not their fault, its yours.
Inexpensive, Easy to use and clean, Pretty

Which brilliant mind came up with this great invention?

published

Cheap bottle with a filter for $18. You have to squeeze it hard to get anything out of it, but when I do, it seems to leak all down my shirt. Buy a normal water bottle. This is possibly one of the worst things I have ever spent my money on.

Expensive and nearly non-functional for a water bottle. All my colleagues laugh at me for having bought it.

Bobble Water Bottle 550ml

published

I bought this bottle and was very excited to use it because I thought it will be a better replacement for my other water bottles as it is lighter and has a filter.

However, I found that it is not as good as I expected when I started using it. The mouthpiece is a bit big and the filter makes it difficult to suck the water out. I mostly just get air. If I squeeze the bottle to help the water come out, it spills all over my shirt!

I feel that I have just wasted my money on this.
Light, looks funky, filter last longer (2 months)
Difficult to get water out. You get to suck lots of air than water.

Disappointing

published

Looks funky but has been less than average. I bought the bottle and had trouble with the first filter straight away, getting mostly air and dribbles of water leaking as I drank. So, I thought I'd give another filter a go and bought another. That one lasted a week or so and then I discovered the filter where the was cracked, which is probably what was wrong with the first one. I bought a third filter and that has lasted about a month before cracking. The bottle part is quite flimsy and damages really easily. It doesn't get carted around much so I wasn't tough on it. I guess I'm the silly one for investing $34.85.
the idea is really neat
poor durability

Buy a normal water bottle

published

Bought a new filter only to find that it doesn't fit the bottle. So the original bobble cost $14.95 and the second filter cost $9.95. So far I feel I have wasted the best part of $25. I emailed customer service and got an auto reply saying that someone was on leave. I have definately wasted $25.
The idea is good.
Expensive for a water bottle, no customer service, flimsy bottle

Bobble Bottle

published

I initially bought my Bobble water bottle, as I liked the replacement mouth piece which was an integral part of the filter unit. I'm not so keen on the flimsy feel of the bottle itself, and the filter doesn't seem to filter the water as well as I like. Either that, or the filter needs replacing far more frequently than recommended.
Replacement filter and mouth piece unit.
Didnt' seem to filter effectively for very long; flimsy bottle.

Why does my Bobble Bottle leak???!!!! This situation has ruined some paperwork. It is not leakproof. The mouthpiece is also too hard to open! I am very dissatisfied and cannot find an e-mail address to contact in the UK!

Because it's very poorly designed! Mine leaked over my old netbook while travelling, luckily it was inside a spongy soft sleeve that absorbed most of the water (my new laptop has got a waterproof sleeve! Lesson learned) and over many other things over the time, with many different filters.... it wasn't the case of a filter being faulty, they were all bad as poorly designed.

I also agree it's very hard to open and you either touch it with your hands (which are not always clean if you're around, on public transport or hiking, or risk to break your teeth).

Now I only use my Bubble bottle at home, to keep on my desk or in the kitchen, but I never ever pack it in my bag, not even my gym bag, because it's just crappy.

I am glad it wasn’t just me being a ‘numpty’! However I would still like to know who I can complain to in the UK. Does anybody know please?

Are the bobble water bottles still in production? I've been unable to buy replacement filters for mine, I've been to Woolworths, Coles, Target and Big W, and had no luck finding the filters.

I've had my bobble for about a week now. One day after I bought it, it did leak water all over my bag but have not had that problem since. Yesterday, however, the carbon flitter started leaking carbon all into the bottle. Anyone else with this problem?
