Time Safer

published

Have been using the ALS25 mainly for vac use and had no problems what so ever.
Plenty of suction and bag consistently fills.
Have noticed that if you try and vac up large clumps of leaves it will choke.
Gotta keep a good airflow into the vac so it moves the mulch into the bag.

Purchased in December 2021.

buy a rake and save your money

published

This is pretty much useless for consistently picking up leaves.
If you are trying to get the odd leave or two off the lawn its ok, but trying to suck up large quantities of leaves, forget it.
It works for the first minute or two, the suction is ok but then it seems to choke and suction drops by about 90 %. If you turn it off all the leaves just fall back out of the tube, it seems that the impeller is not passing them thru to the bag, in short save your money, it is far quicker to rake the leaves up, transfer em to a bag and dump them rather then rely on this useless piece of equipment.

Purchased in October 2021 at Amazon for A$148.00.

Not worth any money

Not sure of the model number but its deffinately bosch! Its like it doesn't seal properly on the plastic nozzle, half of what you suck up doesn't go i the bag coz it comes out the join in the nozzle. Its been taking up room in the shed only been used once ! Cost about $140, its a pitty coz i like my other bosch products.

good alround blower

published

I had a ALS 25 for over 5 years. Didn't use the vac much but it worked ok. the blower was constantly good worker and never missed a beat until recently. So I thought I'd try a different brand which I shouldn't name here but it was slightly cheaper and had two speeds normal and very fast. The design was poor and the safety switch wouldn't work so I'm now looking for another ALS 25.

Poor Quality and after sales service

published

Worked well to start with and used for light garden cleaning for 15 min a week around a townhouse with a small backyard, however blower bag zip broke within 6 months. The time and effort to get it replaced first through Bunnings who tried to palm it off to Bosch straight away and then Bosch cost more than the product itself, took 3 months of constant calling & emails to get the bag replaced. Then within 2 months of the 12 month warranty expiring, part of the internal mechanism shattered with bit & pieces and ball bearings everywhere. Replaced it with a Ozito BLV-2401 for less than half the price ($50 vs $130 for the Bosch) had it now for more than a year and it's far superior in functionality and design.
