Looks good but numbers have worn off
This oven is in a new house chosen by the builder and has given us nothing but problems. The oven enamel is scratching, the temperature dial stencils have worn off and the hinge on the door has worn which makes the oven not keep in heat and the door seals are cracking. At first it was cooking fine but after 6 months of use it's not really reliable.
Have called for service and had taken 2 weeks to get a part out. Really not impressed by a brand new oven that takes this long for parts.

Glass globe protector broke
The oven itself works fine. It heats up and gets to temp and the grill function works well.
However, after 2 years and 2 months the globe blew. I followed the guide instruction and the globe protector broke into pieces. I called the 1300 number today (27/June) and the consultant told me "sorry it's out of warranty". I asked if it was reasonable to expect this but I was only advised of a price to send a replacement part, and that it was too bad that it was just out of warranty. Really! ld barely last two years. Disappointing especially looking at the Robert Bosch quote in the owners manual about selling quality goods. If a globe protector can't last two years without shattering from the heat, here's to hoping the rest of the oven still works in another two.

Friendly oven
This oven heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and is easy to operate.
After reading other reviews of Bosch ovens, I feared the pyrolytic cleaning function would crack the glass in the oven door, but thankfully that didn't happen.
Given the stainless steel finish at a lower price to many of its competitors, I feel comfortable recommending this product to others.

Oven globe
Great oven but sorry to say the globe and the the globe cover not the best. My oven purchased February no 5mnths old globe went could not release it got the globe cover off easy was told not a warranty issue had to get someone out to do it for me which took less then a couple of minutes and 100.00 later again today the globe has gone again and again the same trouble obviously for something so simple to change and can't I am not prepared to pay another 100. And obviously something isn't quite right if the globe goes this quick. Oven not yet 12mnths old.

Average oven / not user friendly
I purchased this oven as part of my kitchen renovation. I thought it would be a good mid-range oven to go with other Bosch appliances to be installed in the kitchen. After using it for a few months now, there are more things that annoy me about this oven than any other oven that I have used in the past. It is generally not a user friendly oven.
1. The temperature dial is difficult to read;
2. The touch screen is very sensitive which makes setting the timer difficult as it takes a few tries to get to the time that you want;

Nearly two years old now
First impressions were good. Heats quickly, even heat spread,cooks evenly on multiple trays. after using for nearly two years now still a very impressive oven and definatley value for money.

Exceptional value
We purchased our Bosch HBA13B253A last week after we decided to update our Blanco 20 yr old oven. For a base model it represents exceptional value. The triple glaze door means heat doesn't escape and heat our whole apartment. It is quick to reach the desired temperature and cooks evenly and superbly. It's quiet and easy to use. We couldn't be happier!

Terrible Customer Service
I purchased the Bosch 60 cm electric oven (HBA13B25A)on the 16/10/2011. In about September 2013 the oven started malfunctioning,if I cooked something and then turned the oven off and wanted to cook something else after a little while, the oven wouldn't turn back on. he oven was faulty before the warranty ran out. I was very disappointed with bosch and needles to say, did not and will not purchase anything from Bosch (or associated companies) again. I have since then found out that under the Consumer Protection Act, bosch is obliged to repair or replace the oven even after the warranty runs out and have contacted them again.6 comments

The oven continues to be on even after I turn it off. I have to power break it every time I finishes with the oven. Is it normal, is there a way to fix it if it is not?

The fan remains on for a certain length of time after the oven has been switched off so that it can cool down more quickly. However if you believe it isn't the fan, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744, and we'll investigate further for you.

Yeah, I had it - turned off power supply for it and turned back on after a minute, started working again.
