Terrible Dishwasher!!
We bought this dishwasher a month ago and have had nothing but trouble. It will not work as the light indicate that it requires rinse aid and the filter cleaning. Both have been attended to. It takes over an hour some nights to get it reprogrammed by turning off the power. Not very good for a dishwasher that is only a month old.

Whisper quiet, mega powerful
What a brilliant machine! It's so quiet you can stand right in front of it and not realise it's on. And talk about clean! Crockery, cutlery and pots and pans come out looking like they've been polished. Super easy to maintain - the filter comes out and goes back in easily and smoothly and a quick wipe down of the interior and door lining once a week or so keeps them spotless. We entertain quite a bit so it gets a good workout - often twice a day - and never falters. Everyone deserves one of these.

Brilliant!
We upgraded our old dishwasher that came with our house and went through a lot of research and this one was the right one for me. Quiet, powerful and heaps if storage. Two minor gripes, it doesn't beep to tell you its finished and it lacks a knife drawer which the UK model comes complete with. I bought one separately from the UK and love it!

Worth it!
Affordable bosch model. It's perfect for a small family, it has the basic features. I only had it for a week but am very happy so far. Easy to install. Very quite, when I first turned it on I had to double check whether it was on. Cleans and dries well.

Extremely quite and does a great job
We have had this dishwasher for a little while now, you would think it would be hard to be impressed by a white good, but I am amazed just how quite this dishwasher is you can hardly even notice it is on. We have had other brands in the past including one that split a hose internally that destroyed our kitchen and flooded the house. The standard flow limiting device that came with the Bosch was one item that helped persuade us to purchase it, after living with it for a while I am grateful we made that decision.

So far so good....
We bought this dishwasher at Appliances Online at a cheap price for a rental property. The reviews were mixed but we'd always had good experiences with Bosch dishwashers in the past (particularly with a slimline one we owned seven years ago), so we took the plunge. We've had it three months and so far it's going really well - everything comes out clean and it's nice and quiet. As some reviews note the default drying function doesn't dry plastics, but we're happy to let them air dry on a rack. I understand you can set a more aggressive drying cy...Read more

Really good value for money
Bought this product from Appliances Online based on the many good reviews it got on their website together with their next day delivery service and removal of old machine. It's very quiet and does a thorough job although I haven't tried it with heavily baked-on dishes yet. The installation instructions are useless but my partner installed our last dishwasher so this one wasn't a problem. The top basket is is very adaptable for mugs, cups, small plates and wine glasses. For the price, it's a great buy.

It cleaned well, but had constant blockages.
I am disappointed with this. I expected better from a brand such as Bosch. After @ 6-7 months I started receiving errors such as e01. They sent me a copy of the manual, & I ended up investigating myself (as blockages are not covered. There was a buildup of scraps, including a small chicken bone which was blocking it. I removed it, and it continued on, however, I have always found that the sprayarms would block easilly. In October 2013, the E01 error returned (as well as a few others). I found rocking it gently seemed to clear the error. One nig...Read more
ht however, it seemed to die completely. It wouldn't switch on. I contacted Bosch, & initially they said there were no service agents covering my area. They later contacted me that they found someone. The agent came out within the next few days. He was unable to diagnose where the exact defective part was, & he found evidence of a chicken bone, which suggested to him that Rats had been inside the unit. Hence Bosch did not (as expected) cover the warranty. The agent also said that as it was not warranty, Bosch would not pay him for the call out fee etc, and asked if I could help cover his time & fuel. I am now the owner of an Aldi unit, which is 1/2 the price of the Bosch unit, & works flawlessly. There will be the occasional blockage in the spray arms, but it works far better. The original unit has since been consigned to the Council bulk waste pickup.1 comment

Very happy!
I have had this dishwasher for over a month now and couldn't be happier. I did so much research before deciding on this one. Every single model you look at has both positive and negative reviews. This one seemed to have the least bad reviews, so fed-up with researching, I took the plunge and bought it online from 2nds World (it was brand new, not a refurbished one). It is so super quiet, I had to put my ear right on top of it to make sure it was working the first time around! Big plates fit in with no problem. There are plenty of compartments t...Read more
hat are easily adjustable. I use Finish rinse aid, and the dishes are beautifully dry. Sure, on top of upside down mugs where the water pools, is still wet, but you just empty the bottom compartment first, then the top and dry those as you take them out. Not a problem at all. Rinse aid is about $8-9 a bottle, but you don't need to top it up every wash. One bottle would last 30+ washes. My dishes have all come out nice and clean. I do rinse before I add them to the dishwasher, but even pots and pans wash great. So happy with this purchase, I love my dishwasher! Quiet, lots of space, effective Nothing1 comment

Not sure why you would need to pay more
Bought the Bosch SMS50E32AU three weeks ago. Believe this is a new model replacing another. Honestly can't understand why there are such expensive machines out there when we got this for $600 (ish) in EOFY sales at the Good Guys. It's almost silent (well compared to our old one) and washes the dishes perfectly. Nothing more to say - job done. What exactly are people trying to achieve spending $1000+ ... Cleaner dishes.
On another note, the good guys store were a disgrace. Took our order online even though they had no stock then spent a week...Read more
trying to convince me to buy another brand. Finally offered me this new model for the same price after many irate calls. Delivery man was a beast, banged into my gate, bashed into my wooden cabinet and then spilt water all over my kitchen and then carpet whilst removing the old machine. No regard for people's homes. Also rude on the phone when arranging delivery time. Definitely prepared to pay more next time and shop elsewhere. Does the job - no more to say! :) Nothing1 comment

Bosch SMS50E32AU3
This dishwasher had issues from the second week after purchase. The start button doesn't work properly and you need to press the button slowly. After calling Bosch to rectify the situation, I was instructed that as it was an intermittent problem. That if the service tech attended and the fault did not occur I would be required to pay for the call out fee. As this was the case I think that it was poor customer service :(. We never did any thing about it as the call out fee was almost half the cost of the dishwasher. So all in all the dishwasher ...Read more
performs fairly well although it doesn't clean all dishes very well. We use rinse aid although our cups seem to hold water on the base and do not dry very well. If plates are stacked in the spacing provided by the rack they do not clean thoroughly, I suggest that a space be left between plates if there dirty. As the dishwasher is manufactured in Turkey the quality is not the greatest wheels on bottom tray keep coming off, which is quite annoying. We are a family of 5 and run the dishwasher at full capacity on a daily basis. I wouldn't say the dishwasher is rubbish but its not the best Ive had either. I would recommend you spend a little more and buy a better quality unit. Cheap base model Start botton issue and poor customer service1 comment

In relation to your complaint of our poor customer service - we are very sorry to hear that you did not like your treatment and wish to rectify it as quickly as possible. So that we can properly identify you can you please send an email to [email protected] with a list of your concerns / issues, include in the subject line "Customer Resolution BSH201508”. Could you also please attach proof of purchase and the model, serial and FD numbers as well as any supporting photos. Once we have this information - we will be able to treat your issues with the care they deserve. In relation to your drying problems can you please try: 1. Set the 'Intensive Drying' function: see user manual or follow these simple steps: i) Close the dishwasher door ii) Switch the ON/OFF switch to 'On' iii) Press and hold down the ‘Start’ button and ‘Eco 45 or Normal 45’ button until d:00 is displayed iv) Press ‘Pre-rinse’ button to turn Intensive Drying on: d:01 is displayed v) Press ‘Start’ button to save the setting 2. Make sure that any items you put in the dishwasher are angled to avoid water pooling in them and make sure you unstack the dishwasher from the bottom up. 3. Always use rinse-aid (Bosch recommends Finish) as this helps water disperse off the dishes, aiding drying performance 4. Wait for about 15 minutes until after the end of the cycle and open the door slightly for around 10 minutes. This will release any residual moisture. If you find necessary, you can use the time delay setting so that the dishwasher wash cycle ends at a convenient time for you. Looking forward to hearing back soon, Regards, BoschHomeAuSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great dishwasher. Dries well if you run it on the long cycle or the hot cycle
Was rather hesitant after reading all the reviews about it not drying, however..........
The dishwasher has been super quiet, washes dishes really well and so far seems to be very good quality. This one is made in Turkey I think, not Germany. Bought from Harvey Norman Wiley Park in March 2014 for $580 via debit card.
Plain white, nothing exciting to look at. Easy straightforward controls .

Quietest dishwasher ever
This is the quietest dishwasher I've ever bought and amazing value for money. It is made in Turkey not in Germany but this fact didn't bother me. The 33min eco cycle was sufficient for daily dishes. Dishes were perfectly cleaned and no problems whatsoever. I can highly recommend this as a value for money dishwasher.

I did lot of research prior to buying this and its only due to fairly good reviews of this brand and model did i buy it. So far I am impressed with it. Its quiet and seems to wash ok but like others have stated in their reviews it doesnt dry very well. I am pretty happy with it though. I have washed it on the quick cycle and also on the 2.5 hr cycle and both seem to do well. Great dishwasher! Good brand for a great price.
We found this model at Masters for a great price, and after reading some of the reviews on this site we were hesitant.
However the dishwasher cleans the dishes beautifully, is very quiet and despite what some people on this site may believe the dishes come out as dry as you would expect them to if you open up the dishwasher as soon as it is done. (Apparently they should be bone dry but this is not la la land.)
We usually set to hottest temp and intensive drying and a few hours after the cycle is finished they're dry, except where the water ...Read more
is pooled in poorly stacked dishes. Usually is turned on before bed. Dry in morning. The only gripe is on the bottom rack where you would stack the plates the prongs are too short to support glasses very well if you have for some reason filled the top tray or have tall wine glasses you need to wash. Other than that it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Very happy! Overall it outperforms our cheap dishwasher that we had previously, in about every way. 70 degree wash really cooks the dishes up good. Quiet, cleans very thoroughly. Bottom tray prongs a little short.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This isn't the Bosch Home web site, it's an independent review site.
Anyway, the manual says for error codes E01-E30 not detailed in the manual:
"Switch off appliances with the ON/OFF switch
After a short time restart the appliance.
If the problem recurs, turn off the tap and pull out the mains plug.
Call customer service and mention the error code."
This is on page 29 of the manual.
Assuming you're in Australia, the customer service number is: 1300 369 744
