Applied liquid onto my 11 year old rag doll cat about 2 months ago, fleas gone but now so is his fur from completely licking it all off. He’s wearing a cone to stop the licking but as soon as it’s off he’s biting and scratching as if the fleas never left. I’ve given him 3 baths and blow drys ( he likes it so it’s not the worst) yet it doesn’t stop. My cat is extremely uncomfortable after using this product and I have no idea how to make him stop. He is clearly itchy to the point it’s making him crazy. He’s a very active in your face cat now reduced to this sad animal with a cone on who lays around all day. He’s lost weight and all his joys in life. I have no idea what to do but this garbage is the reason.

I buy my bravecto online I can’t afford to go to the vet for my 2 dogs or 2 cats and with my cats I have tried all types of flea treatments and non worked until I bought a chew broke it in half and mixed it in wet food the cats ate it and they are given the same protection as dogs for about 4 months I have had no bad reactions by doing this your experience may be different but my cats are flea free from dogs bravecto chewy flea treats

Shocked to hear of cats suffering bad reactions to Bravecto. My adored rescue cat has been on 3-monthly Bravecto for the two years he’s been loving with me. He has no bad reaction to Bravecto or Bravecto Plus (which protects against intestinal worms as well as fleas). These drops are applied by my vet every 3 months, and keep my cat free from parasites and without any visible side effects. I pay a monthly pet insurance fee which covers the cost of Bravecto.

I previously used Bravecto on our dogs so when I saw this product for our cats I decided to give it a try. I can't comment on the efficacy of the product as we could not even open the lid on both tubes we purchased. The lids were stuck and would not move. In the end we ended up with the product all over our hands instead of our cats and we paid $60 for that! I will be going back to our previous product and never getting Bravecto again.

Our cat reacted badly to this product. He was panting, very agitated and running around the house. He was distressed and so were we. He was not badly infested with fleas - used this as a preventative only.
After 45 mins he was still panting so we washed as much of the product off him as possible - seemed to help. He had a similar reaction to a Capstar table . Previously used fipronil without any adverse effect.
Will not be using this product again

Any medicine that will go as far as killing someone's cat or paralysis should be taken off the market ASAP. Why are vets trusting this poison? Come on, do they have to be humans to get the point?? I've had dogs and now cats.. never had a problem with a flea meds until now. Out of my 3 cats only 1 did not develop any symtoms. My other cats had patches of hair fall off. I imagine it doesn't feel good on the skin either. I had a stray cat turned couch potato who had been acting different, didn't want us to touch her. Seriously if you are better than me in the sense that you educate yourself prior to giving your precious babies any medicine, do not give them this garbage/poison. I should be getting my money back for this, it ain't cheap.

Like many other poor reviews here, my otherwise healthy 2 year old cat had a bad reaction to Bravecto. He was given the correct dose by the vet but less than 24 hours later was found slumped on the floor and unable to use his hind legs much at all. Went back to the vet and bravecto was suspected as the cause. He recovered, largely because he's young and healthy. The lingering effects a week later are some lethargy and drinking more than usual. He was lucky, but I'd never touch this stuff again. ever! It's a neurotoxin & pesticide, regardless of how small the dose.

The only reaction from cats is fro 2 out of 5. The 2 with allergies seem to be better and fur thicker; and both have gained a little weight. Don't know if that is a side effect of medicine or they feel better. The other 3 cats seem the same. They were never fond of getting it applied, so every 3 months is better for me too.

We live in a high volume tick area. Applied it on the cat with no adverse effects. Pulled a few dead bush ticks off her since and thats about it. Reading these reviews I think creates the false impression that every second cat meets an untimely death after application but bravecto has been selling for a long time. Understandably people will throw up a bad review if their animal has a reaction. I suspect the many who have no issues dont run to the review sites. That perhaps creates an unfair rating.

I applied Bravecto Plus to my ragdoll cat - he started losing his hair and vomiting and is now bald around his neck. Will not ever use it again and do not recommend it.

Bravacto caused serious neurological damage to my bengal, blindness, ataxia, severe weight loss in a previously very healthy cat. Reported by my vet to merck, this stuff is a poisonous pesticide

The treatment was administered on October 30, 2022. Seven days later my cat started to limp on his front leg, 10 days later his hind legs were paralyzed, 11 days my cat developed shallow, rapid and labored breathing in the evening and in the morning my cat died.

Have used Bravecto before on all 3 cats with no problem. This time used Bravecto Plus - 2 cats a bit sleepier than usual for 24hrs but 1 cat - unsteady on feet, falling off furniture, unable to judge distance when eating - kept butting his nose into the biscuits. Did not appear stressed in himself but he was definitely not acting normally. So 1am trip to the 24hr Vet - overnight stay for observation (thought ? paralysis tick / ? snakebite). Back to normal by lunchtime following day with no treatment. Have reported reaction to Merck. Just be aware.

After application of bravecto in the afternoon we thought that our cats fleas were gone. Then after a nap our cat woke up as a completely different cat. She was disorientated, lost and unable to walk, balance or even stand. Her pupils were completely dilated, feverish, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure and shallow rapid breathing. After $1800 and a night in hospital our cat is not better...From reading all the fact post application and subsequent illness. I believe it is time for a class action suit toward the manufacturer...As a health professional am beyond belief how this product is allowed in public.

I used this on my cat on August 30, 2022 and two weeks later she began to limp and run a high fever. From there it progressed to a persistent high fever, lethargy, no appetite, weight loss, painful front legs, rigidness down the spine and back legs and rapid breathing. She was a perfectly healthy cat prior to using Bravecto. This stuff is absolutely terrifying. Do not use Bravecto on your cat. Ever.
