I'm so pleased of buying this rice cooker, and I will surely suggest it to my friends, any time. after it's done its job, I send a kiss for my ever companion, every day.
I've bee cooking for 20 year, and I haven't seen a product to make cooked rise as good as this rice cooker. It contains a very tiny pore in its lid, for exiting the steam, which enables us to make a very soft, tender and delicious dish.
By now, I haven't encounter any error or dysfunction in this lovely product.

We love this rice cooker! We have had it for nearly two years and use is AT LEAST 3 times a week and have not had any problems whatsoever. It has loads of functions including the 'quick cook' for when you're making less rice (say for only 2people). It switches directly to the 'keep warm' feature when the rice is cooked, so if you forget about it or get busy the rice will never over cook or get dry. It has a steamer on top which is great for steaming fish, we even use it sometimes to thaw things out. Vegies steamed ontop come out great and I thi...Read more
nk are much healthier for you than microwave or boiled. Haven't tried any other brands, but if I were to buy a new one (not that I need one, ous is still going strong!) I am sure I would go for another Breville. Everything! We bought this brand and model for it's loads of features and huge capacity! Makes great rice EVERY time! Nothing. Even the price is great!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great rice cooker, just like I had in Japan. Best to use normal function, not quick cook, then stir then let the rice stand for 15 mins or longer for optimal results, but it does say that in the book. Much better than my last rice cooker. Definately worth the price.
Everything. I have had this rice cooker for years and love it.
My lid doesn't like to shut so sometimes I have two or three goes, but not really a problem. It does take a few goes to get the rice/water ratio right for different types of rice but once you work out how you like your rice, it's easy.

Know better, choose better.
OK
Although it is a great rice cooker which took a long time to cook rice, it burnt out in 2.5 years even with only twice a week usage.
Great Rice Cooker in all possible ways. Great non-stick pan with good non-stick coating.
Takes long to cook. Worse still, failed with burnt smell after 2.5 years. Warranty runs out in one.

If Tiger/Zojirushi is available in AU, I would have bought it but the prices are one big deterrent!
So far, Breville has been doing a good job (I've used it for about 4 times). Basmati rice are hard to cook and Breville has been doing good. It also has to do with getting familar with the amount of water to be used.
I have rate it 4 instead of 5 purely because of the time taken to cook the rice but other rice cooker may be worse!
The bowl is well made and of a good weight. Didn't feel like those cheaper version which feels light and the coat...Read more

I had bad experience with rice cookers, so before I bought my third rice cooker I read the reviews on this website and I am glad I did.I had two other cheaper rice cookers which both lost non-stick coating in just a few months.I had this cooker for about a year now and I am very happy with it and highly recommend this cooker, worth the extra money.
This is a real Non-stick rice cooker, food justs falls off,so easy to clean.
Many good features I like: vacuum sealed lid,and removable cord, heavy duty bowl and overall well made.

In terms of value for money, this rice cooker is the best kitchen appliance that we own and is used 3-5 times a week every week. We bought this model on my sister's recommendation a year ago after briefly surveying other possibilities - she had one and is into researching products thoroughly. There are some great recipes in the instructions booklet too including lower fat risottos and rice salads that have become family favourites. A most versatile and downright reliable, user-friendly appliance - great design!
Excellent rice every time. Time d...Read more
