Hi Ken, thanks for the enquiry. I can only go by how the Briggs and Stratton worked for me . If you add the wattages of all the appliances it most likely come to over 5000 watts . The fridges would run constantly and once up and running would not draw to much power . The tricky items are the kettle which commonly draw up to 2000w. As long as you were careful with the microwaves, dishwasher and water heater and not run them all at once I would most likely be sure the generator would handle you situation ok. The blue tooth app is priceless in these situations as you can see exactly what the machine is putting out in real time. I ran my machine for days continually without any hiccups during the bushfires. The other advantage is you have a reasonable amount of power and can safely use your TV, computer etc because it is an inverter generator . I would have loved to buy a honda or a Yamaha which put out roughly the same power but they were more than twice the price and twice the weight. I am extremely happy with my purchase and am considering buying one more for my food van. Briggs and Stratton are not a fly by night company so at least that would also put you at ease . Hi Hunter, have been using the Briggs and Stratton for our food van to run our coffee machine, (3500watt) plus my two fridges, coffee grinder and few other things like till etc. It runs everything easily. It’s not continuous as gent kicks in to more power as coffee machine operates so dB level goes up and down as it uses more power, The dB levels are quite good as in eco mode which is what I run on is very good. On full load dB is also quite good. If you wand that power and Round 52 dB would would have to spend around $6000 for a Honda or yamaha weight wise it weighs about 64 kg and reasonably easy to move around, the Honda and Yamaha around 120kg approx. The absolute best feature is the Wifi app for the phone. At any time it lets me know what percent power I’m using, how many litres of petrol I have left and how long approx before running out. In the food van those features are really important as I often use different appliance combinations so I’m always aware of what percentage of power I’m using. During the fires we lost power for over a week so I used it to power two fridges, freezer, Tv, Some lights, fan etc,etc and Iran it continually for four days before we had to evacuate. It never misses a beat and was running on about 6%, fuel was 24hrs + and gradually went down but fuel efficiency was excellent. I have no regrets whatsoever with my purchase . Depending on what you want to use it for, value for money is out standing.

Hi Jo, P.S good luck with your business it seems like you work very hard and I very much hope that your home was okay after the fires.
Like you we have similar concerns about regular power cuts and losing power in a fire when we also lose water supply. I have a Honda EU70is and was in two minds whether to buy the B&S but we have an inground water tank and pump with a 40amp / 9,200 watt starting load. The B&S distributor didn't think the Q6500 would handle this. The Honda handles it at the same time that everything in the house is also switched on including the ducted air-con. It is a superb machine, very quiet even at full load. I hope your generator continues to serve you well but if you should need a bigger (more fuel efficient) machine, the Honda takes some beating.
