I am so happy with this pdoduct. Easy to install and to replace filter. Ive been using it for about a year now and my water tastes great. The lights changed colour to tell me to replace filter and it was so easy.

Purchased in November 2021 at Coles Online for $65.00.

Useless Product - Please don't buy... waste of money

published

I bought Brita WD3030 under sink water filter, the time we bought we had lots of issues and its still continuing till today. Useless customer service they don't reply to your emails or calls. Just because of brand unknowingly I bought this product. I would suggest Please don't buy this product. you will get product in the market with less cost and some 10 years warranty with good customer service.

Purchased in June 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for $449.00.

German quality? German design? Rubbish!

published

Concept is great, implementation is not. The main problem is that after a couple of months, the plastic swivel part on the tap connector wears and is no longer held in place by the compression clip. It just starts spurting water (as complained about in other reviews) and eventually just falls off.

Brita have no spare parts (on their web site).

Purchased in December 2021 at Big W.

WD3020 - Worse service

published

WD3020 - worked ok initially. Now started spraying water everywhere. Numerous exchange of email not did not go anywhere. Now the product is no longer manufactured. Lesley from customer service wants me to sell another products rather then replace. Would never recommend Brita to anyone.

Purchased in July 2021.

WD3020. Brita 3 way tap system

published

WD3020. Concept good. Worked fine for 4 years. Then pipe began to leak and corrode at the first bend. Chrome is peeling. Rang and was told that it was reasonable for corrosion of the chrome pipe after four years. She seemed to think that a 20 year life was totally unreasonable. The metal pipe and chrome work are clearly of very poor quality. I thought that by paying more I would get something that would last. Wrong!

Useless product, no help from customer service

published

Any new assembly will start leaking water at the top after a few weeks because the small plastic connector breaks off. This often happens even before the filter needs replacement. BRITA Customer service dismisses complaints by stating the system is unsuitable for your household so you are stuck with a useless system.

Disappointing decrease in quality.

published

We've used a Brita on tap system for many years, for years at a time and we really like the water quality. However, we've had to return units 3 times in the last year, the last one only lasted 3 weeks. Same problem, terrible leaking from the tap attachment despite us restricting the volume of water flow. Very disappointing how bad the quality has become. Now researching alternate products for the first time in over 15 years.

Biggest waste of money ever!!!

published

Was really happy with this water filter for about 2 months then noticed it started to leak water from a few different places which very quickly turned into spraying water absolutely everywhere over my kitchen, it was completely unusable for the filtered side and the normal sink. I tried to botch it up by wrapping plastic wrap around where the water was spraying to direct it downwards but didn’t matter because it’s so cheaply made the plastic part that attaches to the tap ended up snapping off

Great product.

Neighbors were pulling dirt coloured water from their kitchen, we were drinking great tasting water. Will have to buy a few fittings to alleviate the height problem of getting under the tap. Otherwise, thanks brita, unreal product. I recommend this tap add on in all households for a ease of mind and to promote the disuse of bottled water.

DISAPPOINTED - WASTE OF MONEY

published

I bought this from Bunnings and within 4 months of using it, the connection would leak and spit everywhere when I could run water through it. I called up the manufacturer and they said that due to physical damage its not covered!
So furious, its now in the bin. I hope they discontinue this product and save people the headache of buying it

Garbage- no parts

published

No Bunnings, plumbing or gas fitter can have any adapters for this. It won’t fit any taps.

Don’t risk it.

That’s why every Bunnings has opened boxes of it. The thread is Sone unusual type that won’t fit modern taps w what they give you. Not a good idea! Argh

Junk

Really disappointed BRITA. Same problem as everyone else. Fitting connectors weak and cracked after a few months.
Stop being cheap and make fittings out of metal. This would definitely help with such a terrible product. Wish i had read reviews first, won't be purchasing BRITA products again. Also make sure friends won't either.

Serious design fault

published

I only used it for about three months and water starts to leak/shoot out from the gap where the flicking handle is. Totally waste of money. The unit itself also becomes very heavy as water gets into the filter and weighing the entire tap down. I would not recommend this product.

Do Not Waste your money

published

Bought the brita 3 in 1 mixer tap last year and it has gone wrong 3 times, water pours out of filter system while running normal water. They have fixed it twice but now happened a third time. Not worth the $360 paid.I suggest there is a fault with this item.

Stiff SANO tap

published

The tap became stiff fairly quickly. Over the many months I had Brita "engineers" back and forth and replacement taps. I have become fed up with the lousy product which eventually damaged the hole in the worktop through over tightening. Poor product - poor service. I have asked for my money back but so far without success. Personally I doubt there is a good reason for water filters.

Questions & Answers

John

Johnasked

I have a Brita 3020 system with a separate filtered water outlet, and a second larger outlet for hot/cold water.
The problem is that the normal hot/cold water is seeping into the filtered water system and leaking out of BOTH outlets. Is this easily fixed? I have taken the cap off the filtered water outlet, looked at the small 'O' ring and all appears OK. Hose at the top end seems sound, and the water looks like it is seeping into the area surrounding the plastic tube linked to the filter, and forcing its way out. Perhaps the O ring IS damaged and I can's see it? Or perhaps the normal unfiltered water is getting into the filtration system elsewhere. Is there an easy way to dismantle the system from above the sink to get at the workings of the tap, or do you have to get at it from below - perhaps there is a loose hose where the hoses are screwed into system. Anyone else had this problem and manage to fix it painlessly? Thanks, John

How do you stop it leaking at the swivel joint?

I couldn't unfortunately, so I returned it to Brita. They told me you mustn't have the water running very fast or it will happen again. They replaced it with a new one, which eventually ( after a very short time ) did the same thing. I gave up and bought a Brita water filter jug. I wish they would bring back the old style tap filter. Never had a problem with that - it was terrific - had it for nearly 10 years. Only reason I got the new design one was because I couldn't get the old replacement filters.

New filter just installed but the green light won't come on..Just a red light.Should we get a different or new filterWhat causes this?

2 answers

Have you tried removing the filter then installing it again? Make sure it clicks in place. If that doesn't work, get in touch with Brita and see what they suggest. Good luck.

You need to remove the top and push the little button to reset, then it should show the green light.this needs to be done every time a filter is changed.
