Bee 5

I'm interested in the Bugaboo Bee 5 for my newborn...is it crucial to buy the cocoon accessory? The lady at Baby Kingdom saids that if you can wrap/swaddle your baby tightly enough, you won't need it. Any thoughts? More concerned about the head rest and the neck.

Hi i think it's best if you do buy it. It's safer for baby and more comfortable

Hi! Yes definitely I would buy the Cocoon accessory to ensure that your baby stays safe. It ensures that the baby doesn't move around too much and their neck and head is secure.

We used the bee + from newborn without any bassinet or cocoon, he was perfectly safe and comfortable, but if I was doing it over I would buy one. I didn't know they were available at the time.

Bee 3

Hi! Considering buying bugaboo bee 3, but is it comparable with attaching a skate board to the back??

Hi, the bugaboo bee3 will fit the bugaboo wheeled board with the use of wheeled board bee3 adapters. It can be placed to the left or right depending which position you wish to walk in. The wheeled board also can be used with the little bike seat to allow the older child to sit down.

Bee 3

Hi,
I have an 18-month-old and love my buffalo but would like a second pram for shopping, I was looking at a Bee 3. My only worry is the height of the pram. Does anyone else use the pram for a 2 year and have any issues?

Hi Cathy, the seat back and seat bottom can both. E individually adjusted to be higher and lower. The seat back goes up to 53cm when fully extended which is larger than most prams, so I wouldn't think height should be an issue. :)

Hi Cathy, we also have a buffalo and are also considering the bee as a light weight stroller. Our son is 15 months. Just wondering how are are getting on and would you recommend this?

Hi Jan,
We love our bee 3. He is tall and heavy and it's great for shopping. We don't use it for walking we still use the buffalo. The bee is longer in length and wider and he seems much happier in it.

Bee 3

Hello, I am considering the Bugaboo Bee 3 for my second baby. Does anyone have any experience in using the bassinet? How long were you able to use the bassinet for? It looks much smaller than the cameleon bassinet. Thanks, C.H

If i were u id pop into the nearest baby store and just check it out. I would however be more inclined to concider how long you intend to use the entire pram for! As it has a weight limit.. which is a lot lower than most other prams and once u add the weight of ur bag which no doubt once full of nappies snacks and all the other stuff will only allow you to use it till your child is roughly 9/10 kgs.. which isnt long at all.

And if you need to carry second child and push first.. just forget it!

Hope this helps :-)

Hi - I bought the bassinet for my little bub and whilst it's been extremely useful around the house because it's so portable, I have actually never attached it to the pram once. Bub still fits in his capsule so when I'm out with the stroller I just attached the capsule (maxi cosy) from the car rather than taking the bassinet as well. the capsule attachment means I don't have to wake bub when moving him from pram to car and back again.
It was actually a complete waste of money for me to have bought both the capsule and the bassinet - in my opinion you really only need one or the other when it comes to attaching to the pram since they're both only useful for the first few months.

How does the bugaboo bee handle rough terrain? I love the bee but just a little worried i will regret buying this stroller with the smaller wheels.

Hey it's ok on rough terrain but it's designed for pavements and shopping etc, When I take bubs for a long walk by the beach I usually take my 3 wheeler pram rather than the bee. I do love the bee though as it's so light and fits in my tiny car boot :)

Its not good on rough terrain, its designed to be an urban pram. But I've taken it on some pretty rough terrain and managed ok so long as you don't expect it to be smooth sailing. Is TERRIBLE on sandy type terrain, gravel and pebbles. But its light enough that you can get it over logs and rocks pretty well. If you're only planning on rough terrain very occasionally then its an awesome pram and I'd recommend using a baby carrier instead of the pram for off road adventures. But if you live in the countryside or something, then its probably not for you.

Hello, Look the Bugaboo Bee isn't really designed for rough terrain, it handles uno the usual mild terrain but doesn't really handle sand, roads ( rough terrain ) as such. I have the bugaboo bee plus and Iam in love but when I go for jogs on the beach, road etc I take my mountain buggy. Overall I wouldn't purchase this pram if you are going to be using it on rough tarrain 25/7 ! Hope this helped :)

Has anyone used a skateboard with the bee? Is it comfortable to steer and do you have to stand to the side? Can the skateboard only be used when seat is facing outwards?

I use the skateboard with my bee and it is fine. You do find yourself walking to the side but I don't find it a problem. The pram is very easy to steer. Skateboard is fine whichever way the seat is facing. I have a 10kg 1 year old in the seat and a 14kg 3 1/2 year old on the skateboard and have no problems.
My email is [email protected] if you have any more questions :-)

What nappy bag best fits in the basket of the bugaboo bee plus or even over the handle with the toddler skateboard attached?

I have a Vanchi Ziggy Tote 47W x 34H x 22D which is treated a medium sized nappy bag. I stuff it quite full & can push it into the basket however it can make it quite difficult to access. A much better configuration is to have the seat rear facing with the handlebar fully extended, toddler board attached and your nappy bag attached via hooks to the handlebar. The rear facing seat means it can be reclined without compromising the toddler board & that the handlebar can take more weight without tipping. To prevent tipping, attach the hooks (I recommend Think King Buggy Hooks 2pk) to the sides of the handlebar rather than right on the end. It also helps deter your toddler from getting off the board as the nappy bag is at their back. I find they still have plenty of room on the board as the nappy bag dangles under the handlebar. It also means your nappy bag is readily accessible. Hope you find this useful.

Whats the difference between the Bugaboo Bee and Cameleon?

1 answer
thelovelymst

Both are suitable from birth to toddler, are reversibleand car capsule adaptable. When I was researching strollers the differences I found that helped me decide were...
The Bee has a lie flat seat for newborn and adjustable recline for older babies. I love that it folds down in one piece very easily. 4 small solid swivel wheels. Weighs about 8kg.
The Cameleon has a bassinet for newborn and also a seat for when they are older. When folding it is in two pieces. 2 large locked and 2 small swivel wheels. Weighs about 10kg.
