don't buy it
Can't connect to wifi in a different location or computer. Worked while at my parents house, although set up was a pain, took me some times to get it started. But few days ago when my parents forgot the old computers password we tried to use it on a different laptop it just doesn't work! can't find the wifi and can't print anything from it. So they took it to my house same thing can't find the wifi and stuck on the finding wifi page.
Purchased at The Good Guys.

Cheap - but TERRIBLE interface and poor build quality
Set up for the first time was fairly straightforward and printer was unboxed on WiFi network and working fine within 10 minutes.
Print quality seemed ok and speed and noise were within acceptable limits given the low cost. I was feeling quite happy.
However, a word of caution: if you want to move the printer to a different location and put it on a different network, be prepared for a world of pain. Documentation is very tough to find about how to simply reset and reconfigure the printer and there is nothing intuitive about it whatsoever. I di...Read more
d this once after an hour of so of battling various issues.... Next time I moved however, the reset didn't seem to 'take' and I could not get the printers device WiFi to broadcast so I could reconfigure it. It is now in my bin - another unusable piece of consumable plastic rubbish that actually ended up costing me about $2 per page I actually printed! No wonder they only supply half-filled toner cartridges!!!Purchased at ALDI for $40.00.

Great budget printer
My second Canon printer. The first is still working well (MP230) and have reviewed it too. The MG3060 is a wifi model but in many ways is the same formula. Scan and print. The quality and speed is improved over the old MP. I have yet to refill the ink in the MG so at this stage can't comment if this will be smooth sailing like the MP. For under AUD$40 you can't go past it for casual colour ink printing.
Purchased in January 2021 at The Good Guys for $39.90.

Perfect for the Home Office
Purchased mainly for use as a Scanner, I was looking for an inexpensive machine. Aldi obliged with a weekly special @ $39.99. which was competitive compared to elsewhere. The PIXMA is an attractive compact machine taking up little space on the desk, it is easy to use and functions well. It does not come with a USB fitting, which has disappointed some purchasers. For economy I have a Laser Printer for every day use, its simple enough to connect the USB from this to the Scanner when required.
