RDO II installed about 3 months ago. Worked beautifully but since yesterday gives problems. When pressing remote, it opens by about 5 cm and then stops. The light goes off and the little green light "Learn led" flashes about 5 times?
Hi Wouter, Centurion Garage Doors does not supply an RDO11. If you are in South Africa you will need to contact the supplier as Centurion Australia has no connection with the South African business with a similar name.
My Centurion RDO2 does not want to work even in the dissengaged state. I hear the motor start very briefly and then stops. Secon question, is there a way to do a factory reset on these?
this sounds more like an issue with the manual release, so a factory reset is not an option. Contact a service agent or our service department for guidance.
Hi my Avanti T series has stopped working. Clicks as if it will but nothing happens . Error code E8 thanks
E8 is a blown fuse. This is inside the cover. If you are going to try and change the fuse yourself ensure the power cord is not connected to mains. You will need a 15A blade fuse.
My centurion motor garage keeps flashing light and the door is not opening what should I do?
Hi, depending on the opener model a flashing light is indicating the door is too heavy and is in need of a service. A good test would be to put the door in manual from the closed position and try and lift by hand. If heavy, then it needs a service as spring tension needs adjusting. This is not something you should try yourself and need to be carried out by a trained technician.
We purchased a house and there was not a bulb in the drive motor housing. I put a bulb in and when operating at garage door it arced near the bulb and tripped the circuit breakers. I removed the bulb and holder, it works fine. I tried a new light fitting and it does not light up. Is there a fuse in the system or is something else blown?

How do you adjust the manual release (Red rope) in a RDO2 Centurion roll up door motor. I pull the rope and it do pull but doesn't go to manual.
Kokkie, with this type of motor the gear can be locking the release mechanism if the door is forced to close hard to the floor. If you manually push the door down slightly is can release this pressure and allow you to get the door in manual bet limits may need to be adjusted. Contact service if this is not successful.

E7 is a force error. Contact our service department to discuss a factory default and relearn. The door may need a Sofware upgrade which we can assist with under warranty.

You can factory reset the opener by holding down the red button when you power on the unit. FR should display. Press the light and the opener will then relearn the force settings. I encourage you to call our service department to discuss as SDO units don't lose setting unless buttons have been pressed.

Chris, there could be several things causing this issue so it would be difficult to give advise in this forum. You should close the door close to this point and manually stop it with the receiver. Then put the door in manual and see if it is free in both directions. I would rather the door is closed before putting into manual as if the door is under tensioned in the springs it will fall to the floor. If your concerned phone a service agent for guidance.

Hi Byron, the avanti with a flashing green light could mean a number of things. Sorry but given the age of this model it can't be diagnosed like the newer openers with LED display simply by a flashing light. Try a power reset. If you have a battery backup this will need reseting also. Call service for guidance on this issue.

Hi Earnest sorry but I'm not familiar with this type if issue and we don't supply SDO1. Are you in South Africa using a battery supplied SDO. If yes you need to call your supplier as we are based in Australia and have no link to this product in South Africa.
Hi. My garage door opens after power is restored. One cycle up/open and stays open. I know how to reset open and close limits. I tried this. But recently after a power loss when power is restored the door opens and stays open. Thanks.
Hi Angelo, I assume this is a roller door opener with electronic limits. The opener should relearn limits itself once power is restored. You may not have setup the correct drive side settings, that is is it fitted left side or right side. This is on the opener manual so check this first as I suspect this is the problem.

Provided it will operate smoothly and without using too much force in manual then it should close. I suspect there is something catching causing it not to close. If it feels OK in manual then try again in auto.

Pull the cord in a backwards direction towards the motor. Lift door manually half way. Run motor and it should reinfage with the carriage. If it doesn't the first run run it again..if this fails call service for guidance.

If the door can't be opened easily with one hand in manual then spring tension need adjusting. This should only be altered by a technician.
If l pull release lever, it moves easily by hand, up and down, could it be the opening limit switch that is faulty, that's why it only closes. If I release door and move it half way, engage lever again and press remote, in closes, but not opening
Can you tell me roughly how old the opener is as older models have manual limit switches and newer model are electronic. If electronic have settings been changed that set which side the motor is. Eg right or left side. If this has changed then the opener will think down is up and won't learn limits.
I have changed the 2 limit switches that run on motor side, reprogrammed the remote, and it's working 100% thank you very much for reply.
