A Workhorse @ A Reasonable Price
I don't understand why other reviewers are whinging about this build from Dell. Maybe they just look at price and don't have a clue about specs when purchasing technology. Oh well … my experience with the Dell 3000 Inspiron is that it's a really good workhorse, fast start up, handles multiple applications with no stalling or freezing, decent screen size, handles gaming relatively well and good battery life. No it won't do yoga poses and it doesn't include a touch screen facility but then you're not paying for those features are you? The body is...Read more
plain and I agree the mouse and number pad are a bit "too" cheap as they can be temperamental and interfere with functionality. Otherwise I've found this a solid machine and have had no problems with it after two weeks of heavy usage. Make sure to get the upgraded variety - 8gb SDRAM and 1tb hard drive.Similar opinion? Dead slow, takes most of the time for updating and resetting
Bought a new 15 7000 touch screen i7 8th gen(hardly 2 weeks)
Did not find user friendly, even difficult to customize- like creating simplest desktop.
Updating and resetting takes ages!!!
I am quite upset with this one- haven't installed so much apps, but it's so slow. No I am restting it and is taking almost 20 minutes.
Really regret choosing this!

What a piece of garbage
I bought the laptop on eBay and right out of the box the problems started. It has a touch screen, and a message comes up announcing it that takes up a 1/4 of the screen. No matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of it, I tried everything. I finally had to disable the touchscreen. I then upgraded to Windows 10....suddenly it wouldn’t connect to WiFi anymore, it said ‘no connections available’. Yeah, right. Now I basically deal with odd days where it simply does strange things; it won’t open files, telling me they aren’t available (these are my Wor...Read more
d files) all the icons disappear, it runs very slow....today it gave me an error messages I’d never seen before telling me some crap that made little sense (honesty I was so angry I simply don’t remember). Seems reasonable..
After having a Dell Optiplex GX270 (2004) with the Win XP Pro life cycle expiring, and finally stopped working, decided to upgrade to a laptop from the same maker, with Windows 8.1 OS, with an Intel core i7, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD. I subscribed to McAfee 'Live Safe' for 1 year on it, but after that expired, there was advertising that constantly distracted me from using effectively the functions I purchased it for. I did find it difficult to use Windows Update, when it would download, then try to install, but could not; it would revert back to previou...Read more
s operation without updating. After a long conversations with Dell on their help line, decided to 'reset' the computer, and install Windows 10 Home, which deleted the McAfee 'Live Safe' Antivirus, and since has been 'up to speed'. I've only used it on a 'light' basis, storing most of my files on an external HDD (Seagate 1TB). After about 2 years, I did notice that some 'housekeeping' had to be done with regard to keeping (Dell) drivers up to date, and of course, the Microsoft updates as well, but having mentioned that, it would be true of any brand of laptop with the Windows OS. With all of this, perhaps as a learning experience, I still have confidence in my purchase back in 2014, functioning well to this day, and perhaps many more to come...Similar opinion? Decent laptop
It is a steady go ready laptop. Convertible between laptop or tablet mode
Pro sturdy, loading is quick
Con fairly heavy
Great size if you work on lot of documents but not a laptop you would like to bring everywhere with the size.
15” is a tad too big as tablet, reckon 13” would be better.
Overall a decent laptop for work

Basic everyday laptop.
Good laptop for your basic everyday use - emails, letter writing, web surfing. Not overly impress with the screen resolution and encountered a major problem with the laptop as it would not turn on one day because I did not have it charged, the battery went flat and I could not boot it up. Considering the fact that I had just recently bought it when this happened I went into panic mode and stayed up till 4 am to try to google fix it successfully. I have always used Dell but I think for its price, there could be better mid-range models out there.

Review for a model 5567
I was looking for a replacement for my six year old ASUS laptop and settled on a Dell. Have never owned one personally but had used them at work and found them to be generally reliable and of a good quality. Dell was running a sale which put it at a distinct price advantage over a similarly specced ASUS.
As well as having 1Tb of drive space it also had a FHD 15.6 screen of 1920 x 1080 which was high on my list of requirements.
Initial impressions were good when unboxing. The unit was delivered in a reasonable time by Dell, was well packaged a...Read more

Very poor performance and issues with charging
This laptop was a bad purchase. Although it does have an adequate amount of internal storage, that is about the only positive I can say for this laptop. The most annoying feature is the charging cable. From the first week the laptop has failed to recognize the cord as a Dell product, and therefore does not charge the battery. This makes the performance terrible, to the point of basically being unusable. I have tried updating the BIOS, bought a new cord and tried all the other suggestions online to no avail. This product should not have been released due the the major issues it clearly has. This will definitely be my last Dell purchase.

Very durable and good processor
It has quite a good amount of storage space, it also has a good processor which is able to run relatively hefty games. Definitely durable, considering that it has been pushed off desk multiple times and no cracks or other damage. Keyboard is comfortable as well as easy to clean.

Very sturdy durable laptop
Bought this for my daughter for school so wanted something durable that will last going back and forth to school with a teenager. Definitely a good choice, only wish it was lighter to save her from carrying such a heavy load on her back. Apart from that very happy with our choice

Terrible Battery
It is about 2 yrs I got Dell Inspiron. The first year of the purchase, I had a Keyboard problem and replaced with the refurbished one. Now, again some of the keys stopped functioning. In the second year, I have a battery problem. Now, it is not a laptop but is a desktop. The battery won't even last for a 10 min.
I had a Sony VIO from 2009 to 2016. In terms of money, I paid nearly half the amount of Dell laptop I have. Battery life, it was excellent and even in 2016 before the laptop screen broke, it had a minimum of 1 hr battery backup. Never had any keyboard issues.

Great refresh of the inspiron line - Dell 15 7570
The Good:
- Fast processor - Intel Core i7-8550U (1.8-4 GHz)
- 8 GB RAM
- 256 GB SDD plus 1 GB HDD
- The build is excellent. All metal, it's a joy to feel and touch. Dell are obviously vying for the Macbook crowd.
- Smaller and lighter than previous inspirons.
- Good, but not perfect, 1920x1080 glossy touch screen
- Keyboard feels nice if a little cramped
The Bad: ...Read more
- Speakers, as expected, are under-powered and tinny - Challenging to open the bottom if you want to upgrade memory and/or hard disks - Apparently the video card is throttled somewhat but I only use it as a design/office/video laptop Conclusion: A solid update to the inspiron 15 range with great strides under the hood, and in the hood itself.Similar opinion? Not up to expectations
Four years ago I bought this notebook because I’d been told that Dell offered good service and would come to your home. The product itself has performed well, as you would expect from one in this price range but no better than one might expect from another brand with the same specs. Last week the keyboard began to malfunction, something never before encountered in more than 30 years of computer use and many brands. Quote to replace it is $165 which I consider excessive. And Dell’s service has been nothing special either. No question of coming to your home to do this work as I’d been promised at purchase time. Next time shall look for a cheaper brand offering the same specs.

So slow
This computer does not have anything personal on it and it is already slower than my old lap top. Nothing seems to want to open. I am so disappointed. I have tried resetting it thinking maybe i messed something up but it keeps running slow. I saw some amazing reviews on this lap top but have nothing good to say.

A very good budget gaming machine
The laptop is both powerful and reasonably priced, with base model starting at $1499 and moving up to their top level at $1999.
This laptop comes with 256GB SSD and 15.6' Full HD screen and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB GDDR5 graphics memory card. Battery life is also very good.
Comes with Windows 10. Tested the game XCON on it and the laptop runs very well, with the speakers and subwoofer providing nice sounds.
It may not be the most powerful gaming laptop available but it is certainly a very well priced gaming machine.

Do NOT buy this Laptop. DELL INSPIRON 15-3567
Purchased in late Feb 2017 for just under $1000. Inspiron 15 - 3567.
Right from out of the box is SLOW. Only runs half the websites I go to and if I go to anything that requires a login it can't do it. Won't run anything on WIFI. If the LAN cable is plugged in it will go to most web pages but very slowly. I have an i3 ACER laptop and a rubbishy 2 year old ASUS laptop and both run at least twice as fast as this piece of rubbish.
2 weeks ago I spent 2 hours on the 'chat' (from my other laptop) trying to get sense from the service people. Got...Read more

Bought one brand new, and one refurbished. Both are lemons.
We have bought two of these and both are unusable.
With the refurbished unit there was trouble with switching the laptop on, and it had to be sent away under warranty to be serviced (with postage time that was nearly a one month wait). It came back from servicing (several parts replaced) and it still didn't work properly! A few days later it completely died. It has to be sent back for repair... again.
The second laptop, the brand new one, didn't even get through its first day without error messages (fan not working, problems with mem...Read more
ory management), and after going through diagnostics with Dell was told it will have to be sent off for repair and to have parts replaced. The whole casing seems very flimsy on both laptops, and even just gently lifting the lid up on the brand new one, the casing came away from the screen and I had to click it back together. This was on the first day. Dell are helpful on technical support and they are happy to repair under warranty. That's about the only positive I can give (that's the one star). We used to be able to buy computers knowing that our money is well spent on a reliable machine, now it seems we are lucky to get the thing to last 2 years, or should I say 2 days. Disgusting.1 comment

Too much bloatware
I have bought many Dell products over the years, desktops, monitors and laptops and generally have never had an issue with their service. However this year I have bought two Inspiron 5000 laptops is different configurations but the one thing they did have in common with the amount of junk - or bloatware - they come bundled with.
I assume Dell get paid something by the likes of McAfee, Microsoft, etc for including trial copies of their software on their laptops but it is a real pain when turning on the computer for the first time to be confro...Read more
nted with this junk. It generally takes an hour or so to uninstall the trial copies of Office and McAfee's Internet Security and then to install the full versions of Office and whatever internet security software I use. I also assume that for many first time buyers they will be conned into paying out the $$$'s requested when the trail versions run out. Apart from that gripe the laptops are okay. The last one I bought 3 years ago developed a problem with the screen where a vertical line appeared down the middle of the screen and the image on the left became fuzzy and flickered. I think that is caused by the opening and closing of the lid which has damaged the wiring wiring between the motherboard and the screen.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Awful service
This is my third Dell laptop and the first one I have had problems with. I have purchased top level support each time and the first time I have had to use it, terrible. After 3 service requests and still issues they refuse to replace my laptop. Also had a screen issue which they refuse to take responsibility for even though there was definitely no incident to cause it. I won't be buying another Dell again, I may as well throw this one away, it will cost me more in time than it's worth.

Cant fault this computer
This computer does all I can ask and then some. The processor never lags and the graphics are really good for a mid level laptop. The unit is nice and quiet and does not overheat at all. I can play 1080p movies with no issues and also play modern games easily.

My laptop Dell Inspirion 15 3000 is just 3 yrs old. Its been getting slower and slower ti fire up and now it won't start at all. According to my local IT person on testing suggests the motherboard is stuffed. Anyone else having the same trouble ??????. Brought from JB HI FI around $650. GORDON WA.

HI Gordon, did you create the Dell restore media? if not you could try booting from a bootable CD/USB and see if you can get it to work, the CD/USB media uses a minimal set of drivers to allow the laptop to operate... might give some clues as to what is going on, good luck....
