Great Coffee!!!
This is a very good little coffee machine! I checked the reviews here before buying and I can add my voice to the happy customers. It really does an excellent shot and then you can add milk to make a latte or whatever you like. It is easy to use although the milk steamer took a few goes. Its a very compact but made from stainless steel so good quality. Happy with it!

Lovely Italian Coffee
I have had this for about eight weeks now and it is a very good machine. Its very small but looks like a quality device in the kitchen. Its all about getting the pressure right in the coffee head. I have found the tamping pressure affects the final results a lot. Get it just right and hey presto! Great coffee. I dont have milk but it has a milk heater as well. Very happy with it!

Easy to use, easy to clean! Cafe coffee at home!
This little machine makes great coffee! Excellent milk frothing ability & delicious tasting coffee. Easy to use (just search for an online video if can't figure out the instruction manual) & it is easy to clean the whole machine. Best thing is that it doesn't take up much bench space either. I purchased this on sale from Harvey Norman & worry my local cafe might go out of business. Best coffees & baby cinos in town! My only negative is the colour. Why oh why did i pick red? Perhaps because it was on sale :(

Excellent little coffee maker
so much cheaper than getting a coffee out. It only takes a few minuets and is so simple to use I didn't even need to read the manal and from the first use to hundreds later the coffee is still strong. I have had to clean it twice in the past 12 months but I love how easy it all is

Makes Truly Excellent Coffee
I am so impressed with this machine. It punches so far above it's weight with coffee. It manages to pull the best extractions with lovely crema. You have to look twice that its the same tiny machine doing it! The machine itself is really small - only 6 inches across the front. It also has a steam want but did not come with a stainless jug, so we just bought one at House. Steaming the milk is its own art, so I am just getting used to that but overall this is a great machine and I think anyone would be very happy with it.

Outstanding Coffee Machine
We are extremely happy with this thing! It looks so good in the kitchen that its a shame to use it! The results are just like people say - cafe quality coffee but you have to work for it. It is dependent on the user knowing how to get the pressure right with the basket and of course using properly ground, good quality beans. Get that right and you get the most excellent cafe quality shots with this. Lots of crema. Extremely delicious. I really recommend this machine.

Perfect coffee
Coffee tastes like made in a cafe. I can't wait to have my coffee every morning. The steamer is so easy to use and clean too. You can froth or warm milk, or just get hot water out of it. Very easy to use coffee machine and does not take up a lot of space

Small Machine Good Coffee
After a few tries I finally found a machine that makes my morning coffee well. It's this neat little De Longhi machine. I brew a strong espresso every morning, and it makes a good, tasty coffee every time. It's easy to keep clean, and doesn't take up much space. Could not be happier.

Very nice coffee machine
I am happy with the taste of the coffee. the machine is very easy to use, it warms up very quickly and it is very slim. Although I am very satisfied the coffee is not as good as the one from a coffee shop. The machine is also very simple to clean.

Makes the perfect espresso shot every time. Love the crema I get with every shot. Very easy to clean, no tubes used for milk like other coffee machines. Can't get an easier machine to use, even husband can do make coffee now. Absolutely love my machine and couldn't live without it now

Can't live without it
Love my ground coffee machine. You can adjust he length of time the hot water flows to around 30 seconds, which is such a time saver. Tried the pods and after trying one, binned the rest. If you want a pod/coffee bag machine I wouldn't recommend this machine, I thought they were awful. As a ground coffee machine I cannot fault it. Easy to descale, which in our house is frequent. Easy to operate, minimal buttons, that works for me. My last one played up just inside of its extended warranty last weekend, so same day I returned it and ...Read more
brought the nice new red one home. Straight on for a coffee. I've had so many machines, it this is my favourite. Takes up so little bench space, looks good and does a great job. Mine has been everywhere with us when we go away for child's competitions or training weekends. I cannot fault my experience of my delonghi, so much so we now have a delonghi kettle, toaster and pre ducted aircon we had a portable aircon by delonghi too. I find them reliable and look great.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great upgrade from coffee pods!
Coming from coffee pods, this machine was a huge upgrade and just as easy to make a coffee with. The DeLonghi Dedica takes up the same amount of space as a typical pod machine, and can be brought on sale for just over $200. It even comes with descaler liquid for when the time comes.
The only downside so far after 9 months of use is that descaling the machine was a little bit confusing.. there's a youtube video explainer, but it's still hard to follow and was left a bit unsure if I did it right or not.

fit on the tray - you can always remove the drip tray as well if you need a bit more height to fit your cup underneath. I can't comment on the performance of the milk frother, since I have iced lattes and don't need to froth the milk.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We're very happy with this product. Makes great tasting coffee. Small and lightweight so it doesn't take up loads of bench space. Very easy to use and clean. Steam wand is particularly efficient and makes great froth very quickly. Easy to personalise settings as well. I highly recommend this product.

Very compact and effective
I love the fact that this machine takes pods (more like tea bags) and ground coffee. This gives me the freedom to buy ground coffee in many different flavours but still have the option to use pods.
Adjustable brewing temperature.
It's very compact.
Switching from brewing to steam is a bit confusing, but the steam function itself puts out a decent amount of power for the size of the machine.
It would be better if the coffee holder handle didn't have to be twisted so far left to put it in so the machine didn't need so much room.
Very easy to clean.

Hi, I've just bought a new EC685R. I find coffee powder on the diffuser (the part where hot water flows on to the filter) each time after I make my coffee. Is this normal?

Intermittent problem: when I switch from espresso to steam (wait for the light to stop flashing), the pump doesn't function, I get a squirt and a hiss and the steam pressure dies. I can get it going again by turning off and on a few times, but I shouldn't have to. Should I take it back?

Hi Ian,
Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Dedica. As mentioned by Tenterden, if you could please call the team on 1800 126 659 we would be happy to troubleshoot with you so we can resolve this ASAP.
Kind Regards,
De'Longhi Australia
I think I've worked out the problem. The steam switch appears to have three "positions" and sometimes I think have just flicked it to Position 2, which lets out the steam but doesn't start the pump. So long as I push it all the way, there doesn't seem to be a problem. I'll keep monitoring it and if this is not the case, I'll definitely call you. In the mean time, my machine makes a wicked double-shot macchiato!

Hello everybody.
I have Delonghi EC685. After using the steamer option for milk, I press on of the first two buttons for coffee, and the machine gets stuck. The first two buttons start constantly flashing three times in white light, and I am unable to make coffee. Only thing I can do is to restart the machine.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks

Hi Georgi,
Restarting the machine after frothing to extract coffee is normal.
While frothing, the thermoblocks temperature is rasied and shut down is needed to lower the temperature.
Dont turn it on and off !!! the buttons are flashing because the machine is too hot for brewing, after using the steamer (and with the vapor button unselected ) just open the steam valve, to purge it, cold water will enter the coil and cool the machine, those lights will stop blinking and u can brew once more :D
