We bought this to turn light grey dated tiles into white. After very carefully prepping the area (my husband is a stickler for prep) and closely following the preparation instructions of the product we began to paint! It was like painting with milk - first coat was streaking and runny. Persevering, we tried a 2nd but it just peeled and streaked. Even after hours of leaving it to dry/cure it was be scratched off with a finger nail. It looks a MESS! We are left with no choice but to cover the wrecked tiles.

I have recently used this product to paint all the old daggy tiles in our kitchen bathrooms and laundry. I sugar soaped the surfaces twice to make sure they were clean. Didn’t use primer at all just painted straight on with microfibre roller. I did 2 coats on all tiles apart from darker borders which I used 3 coats. Rolled on easily and had no problems at all. It does dry fairy fast but I was only working with 5 or so tiles at a time then doing the lay off. Looks amazing and fresh now.
Would have loved to paint the actual shower tiles with this but have been advised not to as it’s not waterproof as such. Would recommend the tile paint to anyone wanting to update old tiles.

Read all instructions and watched video. Used brand new brush, roller and tray. Went to apply and lots of little black pieces of fluff / fibre on my benchtop as I applied it. Changed brush and roller (new again), same issues. Cleaned all off and tried again. Washed all equipment, same problem again, so it must be in the paint!

After doing weeks of planning which included a number of discussions with Bunnings staff, following all the preparation direction and being very excited by the prospect of rejuvenating our kitchen benches and tiles from the moment I started applying the top coat it was drying, so fast that it did not allow appropriate time for any lay off, this resulted in streaks and different textures. I applied the two coats 8 hours minimum apart as directed but it did not help and now I am worried because I had to apply the clear coat as we need our kitchen but some of the reviews are saying the clear coat presents with the same problem.

Pretty disappointed in this product and does not do what it states.
Watching the tile painting video from dulux i was keen to try it as it didn’t need an undercoat
I was so wrong! 5 coats it has taken to paint over my tile and they were only a light colour.
The border tile was the darkest tile and I can still see a hint of it after the 5 coats.
As you can see from the pictures my tiles are not a heavy colour, on the video you can see the first coat looks great going on but it doesn’t do that at all, it’s actually translucent.
I’ve always been a dulux fan due to its reputation as a premium product but not this one, they need to review it and fix the problem

I agree with all previous users and their comments, we experienced the same issues, wish we never used this awful product, we were meticulous in our prep and painting, the outcome was streaky and just not nice at all, such a waste of time and money

Overall, happy with the top coat. However, the clear coat is horrible as it is impossible to apply without roller marks. We tried so many time to apply the clear coat, cleaning the layer and reapply when we see marks. On top of that, the clear coat dries too quickly to work with. The final result looks ok from afar but horrible on an angle.

I do not recommend the clear coat

I bought the renovation range for cabinets and doors. Product states easy to use. In contrary.
I found it to be the worse paint to work with while's doing my whole house also using other paints with very little issues.
This paint dries way too quick to allow ease of work flow. Even in moderate temperatures!
Other Dulux products have been fine except this one. Had to add a fair bid of water just to worj with it. Do not buy it... is my suggestion.

Painted my laminate wardrobe using the Dulux Renovation Range Products. No issues with primer & topcoat, however the Clear Coat has just undone all my hours of work, leaving roller marks all down the doors, despite me using the recommended rollers/ techniques etc. Very disappointed with this product & how much time & money I have spent (& will need to spend again to fix it). I wish I had used White Knight Brand instead. Dulux, there are so many negative reviews about this same ‘Clear Coat’ product. Why is it still on the market?

A 3 day project turned into 6 days because it was almost impossible to roll the paint and then the clear coat without leaving streaks that can be seen in certain light. In the end I had to accept it for what it was. I did all the prep work and followed instructions exactly, took my time and had all the right tools.
A week later I spilt some spaghetti sauce down one door. It wouldn’t wipe off so I had to sand and repaint it.
A few weeks later and every door and drawer still sticks when I open them, like the product still hasn’t cured.
The Reno looks good from a distance but don’t look too close.
Very unhappy.

Almost impossible to apply to benchtop with a roller and get a flat even finish. Clear coat left texture and roller marks. Sanded it all off and did it again, same result. Have leftover paint to someone else who also had poor results.
Over a week with no kitchen, garbage results to show for it. Should have gone the White Night or Rustoleum option.

We used the Dulux Renovation Range bench paint and followed all guidelines. We have done 5 renovations and are experienced painters. It was impossible to use without lines in paint. We even sanded off and reapplied, costing us another tin of paint. Still the same result. We then used the clear coat and it is impossible to get a finish without lines. I do not recommend. I will be approaching Dulux.

We repainted our kitchen wall/ splasback tiles, as we don't have the funds to re-tile. It looks great! Sure, re-tiling would look better but we don't have the funds for that. So, it's a great budget alternative to cleaning up a space.

We didn't use the clear coat, so I can't comment on how well that works.

You do need to take care to clean and prepare properly. That took the most time - we cleaned and scrubbed as per instructions and then taped off and put down paper so we didn't spill any paint. The actual painting is quite fast.

We needed to do two coats in most areas, but in an area that had dark brown tiles we did four coats.

Very happy, great product.

Only have a problem with the clear coat, followed instructions and can not get any type of good finish with this product. Wasted time and money, are Dulux willing to refund our money on this faulty product.

This paint is terrible. I was painting some laminate doors. I Followed all instructions exactly and I still have some streaks. I wish I had never started! I’ll be going over it with good old chalk paint to fix it! Don’t waste your money!

Bought Dulux paint as we perceived it as a premium brand to paint our new house. What a mistake that was. All products we used had very poor coverage and required multiple applications to achieve average results.

We decided to paint the tiles in our ensuite to freshen up the look. Unfortunately the Dulux paint was difficult to use,left streak marks, required 4 coats to get acceptable (not great) coverage and was a waste of time.

I thinks had we ripped the tiles out and re tiled it would have taken on slightly longer but with far better results.
