One of the worst tyres I have had on my New Pajero
These tyres are pretty awful in the wet and I have had a few unprovoked slides which I caught before the car tried to turn itself into a disaster. On one trip the tyres lost grip on a small wet slope and we ended up sliding back a bit which was a bit interesting. On dry roads they seem ok and quiet but they will be replaced before the wet season arrives.

Dangerous in the Wet!
These tyres came standard on my new 2017 Pajero and have delivered numerous scary experiences. In 40 years of driving I've never driven on a worse tyre in the wet. They have next to no grip around tight corners like roundabouts and T merging lanes and are just plain dangerous in my view. I'm glad that we are in drought this year and have not had a normal wet winter as i hope to get these things replaced before the next one comes.

Good kms
Got these standard on my 2015 XLT Ranger, handle well on any dry surface and very quiet on the road and still have 40% tread left at 60k. They handle off road really well but scary as hell to say the least in the wet as they have massive traction issues with torquey cars on wet roads.

Just perform without fault
Have had the AT 22 on my 200 cruiser since new. I’ve now traveled over 200,000km and out to purchase some more. No failures, no wet road issues and averaging 70,000km per set. Off road performance is far better than I expected and the on road grip and response excellent. I have tried other AT tyres on other vehicles but when the 200 needs a new set the AT 22 goes back on.

Weak sidewalls
Got these on a Ford Everest. Travelled 48000km so far. Got about 30% tread left.
As a road tyre I think they’re good. Haven’t had any problems in the wet as others claim. Pretty quiet on the highway.
As an off-road tyre I don’t think they’re up to task. We got a sidewall cut on our first outing. I didn’t realise the tyre was damaged until we were on our way home traveling 110km/h along the freeway & the tyre blew out & got shredded. Scary stuff.
I will not be getting these tyres again.

Never had a tyre as good as this
When I bought my Ranger XLT in January 2016, I looked at the tyres and thought they won’t last long. I hate being wrong but these tyres have been great. 57000 at present. Only time it has got loose in the back end is where there has been diesel or oil dropped on the road and it’s wet. I have never seen these problems with wet weather driving that others mention. Maybe I am slowing down in my old age. I’m looking to get some replacement ones, not because my original ones are performing badly, just because at 57000 I think I should. 99% on road but travel short distances every day on loose gravel and a 4WD track.

Pajero's love them
These are my third set over 2 different Pajero's and over 160,000km's. I think they are a good allrounder tyre.
On road they are quiet. In the wet I've never had problems either, though I always flick it into all wheel drive when wet. Towing a 21' van has had been fine as well including 3x 5,000km + trips. I do note the other reviews that seem to have problems are mainly utes (Rangers & Bt50) perhaps rear weight is a factor. When 4x4 I was surprised how they well performed considering they are made for road more than off road. Never had problems beach driving as well.
These are good tyres for the price. Are they the best? No. Would I buy them again? Yes.

Slippery slide
Tyre seems to fairly good in dry. But gees need a crash helmet when it comes to wet. I dont think i have ever had a tyre so bad in the wet. Even at roundabout have to do walking pass cause any quicker and ur off, while granys pass me in their Hyundai.

Punctured by a twig after less than 500KM and 10 KM off road.
I have just received a brand new Prado Kakadu 5 days ago, hoping to travel around Australia, getting a puncture by a twig today leaves me very concerned. :( The twig is around 10mm diameter and went in just outside the tread area. I can't believe that a tyre fitted to an off road vehicle could be punctured by wood so easy. Or have I got a dud set?

Best Buy for Ford
Without any second thought, I bought this tyres for my old Ford Fiesta. It suits very well and great performance so far. After changing the tyres, the brake and accelerate quality is exceptional. I'm really enjoy driving the car after changing the tyres. I would recommend this product to all.

No fuss
Purchased a second hand Ford pk Ranger 2009 which already had Goodyear wranglers on. Very worn, caused so many slips and slides and lowered performance. Swapped to the original tyre that the car is manufactured with, the Dunlop Grandtrek AT22, and not a problem since. Only one or two minor slips in the past year and held air fine. Perfect for a rear wheel drive Ute that is used for work around the suburbs and taken into dirty sites and scrap yards and occasionally the dirt track on a weekend. Still fine.

Good wear, Ok Off Road. Terrible in the wet.
These were on my FJ Cruiser as a OEM tyre.
Ok in the dry on the bitumen and surprisingly ok also on dirt roads, handled sand Ok.
On road Wet weather performance was disgusting. Changed them at 35,000 km and got a pair of Maxxis All Terrains instead.
Ok if you do dry road driving only.

Ok tyre. Not the best you can get though.
I also have them on a Ford ranger XLT. They are fine and are now at 85,000km. They do wear nice and even and they are quiet. Have been offroad with them (Sand, mud and snow) and they performed very well for what they are. As for the issues in the wet I do agree they can be a handful on hill starts and roundabouts when its raining but you just drive to conditions. I have had to swerve at high speeds as well as emergency brake and they performed well on both occasions so I consider them to be a safe tyre. Really can't complain about them other th...Read more
an being annoying in the wet, if you're not paying attention. I was caught off guard twice with wet roads but fortunately no accident. UPDATE: These tyres made it to 98,000km before being replaced. They did wear evenly with regular rotating. The wet weather issues were always a concern and as such I chose a different tyre to replace them with. They were a good enough tyre but there was safety issues in the wet if you dont know how to drive.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Can't give 1/20th of a star. Made in Thailand!!!
My company car is a Ford Ranger XLT it came with these tyres unfortunately. I love the car and it's only the tyres that let it down. Have travelled 20,000kms and they seem to be getting worse, hardly worn of course because the compound is too hard for longevity instead of grip. Size is 265/65R17 and they are frightening in the wet, my wife won't drive my car in the wet again. Scared the hell out of her and nearly slid sideways into another car. Traction control is a bit slow to cut in and is always working overtime. In the dry they are just OK....Read more
I have not needed to use them in an emergency situations and I hope I never do. I can't understand how these cars have a 5 star ancap rating! Simple straight line medium to heavy braking in the wet causes ABS to go off its head. Normal acceleration causes traction loss in the middle of intersections and even after intersections. I wont drive in the Hills if its raining. I think the problem is these tyres on the Rangers and the BT50's are made in Thailand and the tyres on the Toyota's are made in Japan. Totally different tyres, compound, materials used etc. quality is lacking. November 15th 2018 Update: Survived another year with the worst tyres on Australian roads. Made in Thailand! Unfortunately these tyres are on my company car, a Ford Ranger XLT. I love the ute and the only thing I don't like about it are these horrible tyres. The problem is they are made in Thailand. Its not only rear traction in the wet, lateral grip is also minimal in the wet. 4 wheel drifting around corners is not uncommon. Understeer is also a big problem. My wife refuses to drive my car even if it looks like its going to rain. Thankfully I have not had an emergency situations as yet and hopefully I wont because I know these tyres will not save me! I drip very cautiously when the road are wet and I still get surprised by the lack of grip. I have had many cars and all different brand tyres on them, the last set of Dunlop tyres I had on a car had to be replaced under warranty because the sidewalls started splitting. When it is my choice I cannot rely or recommend Dunlop tyres. July 2022 update.Purchased in February 2021 at Ford Dealers.

86000kms From new. Great tyre ignore the idiot ute drivers
Durable, Good grip, quality construction (tread and sidewalls), cope well with punctures (self healing) two of my tyres had three nails and never went flat. OEM utilise this tyre for a reason. Good on and offroad. Used on and offroad for the first 40 thousand or so kms. Then onroad predominantly after 45thousand kms or so.
Theres a lot of idiots whinging about these tyres on Utilitys. Number one Reason why people claim they have no grip in the wet is because utes by design have minimal over rear axle weight. Couple that with the very short f...Read more
irst gear and torquey initial low rpm of the bt 50 and ranger turbo diesel and yeah most hard compound tyres will slip. These tyres are a safe, reputable, hard long wearing compound that you will easily obtain 45 to 50thousand kms on without worry, unlike cheap chinese blends that tend to stick well but wear within several thousand kms. I became conservative in my driving ie (careful cornering, alignement, regular Rotation and balancing etc) at 50 thou kms and just today had new at22s put on at 90185kms (just on wear indicator) Quality tyre, if you dont drive like a moron in wet weather they are an excellent tyre.Similar opinion? good tyre
these tires are durable and last long on the tarmac. I had them on a pajero. Its a bit slippery in the wet and noisy as well. Over all The tyre has its positives and negatives but for the price its offered, I am ok with buying it again over cheap Chinese brands.

Slippery in the wet
Have done 15000km on these in Ford Ranger mainly onroad, minimal wear. All well and good except in the wet they have poor grip. Embarrassing when stopped on a hill in the wet as back will slide all over the place when you try to get going again. Need to engage 4wd for a while to get enough traction to get car moving, which is not desirable on bitumen for part time 4wd like ranger. Complained to Ford that they shouldn't fit these to Rangers as they appear dangerous in wet. Don't expect much from Ford, will be extremely careful in wet until I see a good deal on changing to something else. Some comments on this forum good, but seem to be mostly from fulltime 4WD vehicles.

No good in the wet.
4000ks on a 2016 Ford Ranger these tyres are scary in the wet. Wheel spin up steep hills in wet, front tyre slides, all whilst driving carefully. An emergency stop or sudden swerve would be interesting. Can't comment on anything else about them, they may be really good everywhere else, but not worth keeping if you live where it rains a bit. I'm putting on some other tyres.

Dunlop Grandtrek At22
Purchased a set of Dunlop Grandtrek AT22 because the supplier was out of stock of Continentals and Pirelli's. Not bad in the dry but very poor performer in the wet. Slips on acceleration and unstable when cornering. vehicle is a Mazda BT50 Dual cab 4x4. Would not purchase these again. I was influenced by the Dunlop web site and how the tyre was described.

Decent normally but slippery when wet.
No complaints for dry days, quiet on the highways and grippy when hot. But i drove it during some wet weather and it got pretty slippery with minimal effort. Wasnt heavy wet weather conditions either. I would definitely change these when I get the chance and wouldnt recommend the tyre in the future.
