Great so far
Woolies have this at half price this week so I thought I'd give it a try. I used the full-fat Greek yoghurt mix, made it according to the instructions. I let the water sit for over an hour to get to room temperature. I made it at 6pm and opened the yoghurt maker at about 6.30 am next morning. The yoghurt was nicely set with a little bit of whey on the top. After using some I thawed out some frozen blueberries and mixed them into what I had left. That makes it less solid but it is very nice.
I found the whole process very simple and I am happy with the result.

Rubbish and rubbish after sales service
Yoghurt won't set wasted at least five packets trying contacted easily, they replied with instructions, followed them still the same . I was told to forward my name and address and they would send replacements still waiting even after prompting no further correspondence from them. I had used a tall white maker for years replaced old one with red one A TOTAL waste of money

Great product
Have years of trying nearly every yoghurt known to mankind, i decided on a whim to purchase an easiyo yoghurt maker when it was on sale at woolworths and have used it at least 3 times a week since i purchased it in January. Mango, banana and coconut are my favs.

Setting issues and not for the first time
I have had a mango mix that didn't set. It is best befor 14/6/17 and batch number 12999-12:23 I mixed as usual and left it overnight in the yoghurt maker. It wasn't set this morning so I left it for another 4 hours and it was still not set. This is not the first time I've had issues with flavoured mixes. Usually the natural greek one works no problems.
What has happened to the quality control? I have also had others that don't stay set and after you take some out they go from firm to thick runny liquid. This is a shame as the youghurt has been beautiful in the past few years.
It isn't the maker it is the powder mix (at least I think as the greek works)

Tips for the perfect yogurt
Use slightly warmer than tepid water to mix powder. Top with tepid to fill after mixing well. Re Boil water just before filling to just above red insert. I have my yoghurt maker in a insulated lunch bag and cover with t towel to keep warmer longer. If after 12 hrs it hasn't set I add more boiling water to just fill and let sit another 2 hrs. Works a treat.

Another issue with yoghurt not setting
Been using Easiyo for several years but clearly there must be manufacturing issues !
Late last year several batches would not set ! Despite using warm
Water with the mix ! Same issue now with a pack of 40 with long sell by date !! Disappointed but happy with QVC returns policy

Yogurt made easy
I tried making yogurt with milk and jalna culture in a container and it would nt set. Frustrated I looked around and instead of buying an expensive plug in style machine, bought Easiyo.
Today my greek yogurt came out perfect with some real acidophillous kick and very creamy smooth texture. I put it on yesterday afternoon and left it around 20hrs (longer) in incubation and then to the fridge for a few hours before trying it. It compared well to Jalna Greek in a taste test comparison in my opinion and around half the cost.
I think the key ...Read more
part of the process is following the instruction on the temperature to mix the powder in to activate but not kill the culture. Then boiling water from the kettle up to the line set for 1kg to match the powder size and make sure everything is sealed well. I too am looking for a lower sugar content and would prefer to use boiled milk and live culture rather than buying powder. This is my next test with the incubator water bath module. Will get back to you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love my Easiyo
I love making my yoghurt up each week. Hubby and I have different tastes so I alternate with the flavours
I have had a few that have not set but I think I have it worked out the problem - I do not fill the container up to the top but leave about a 1cm gap. I also make sure the lid of the cannister is on properly. I find that just by screwing it on is not enough and I have to give it an extra push down on the lid to get it fully on. Since I have done this I have had perfect ones every time. Also it is very important that you have the temperature right (15 to 20 degrees) and you leave it on the container for the full 12 hours.

This product is great
I have used the Easiyo Yoghurt Maker 6 times now and love it. I received it as a gift for Christmas, I was a little apprehensive considering all the reviews but cannot fault the item. I have tried different Easiyo yogurts and all have been very successful. Very cheap alternative to having to buy tubs of yogurt and very tasty.

Yoghurt not setting
I have been using EasiYo for ages and the past few weeks have been having trouble - it won't set. Glad to see it's not me and others are having the same problem. For me, its the Mixed Berries & Bits I am having trouble with. Have just put down a Greek with Honey - will see how it goes.

Yogurt not setting
I have been using Easiyo for several years. I have had to throw away several sachets of late as none of them set. It has cost me a fortune! I even bought a new maker in desperation, still rubbish, very unhappy indeed. Have alerted this to Easiyo and hope it gets sorted.
So what are you going to do to fix it?

Yoghurt not setting!
Have been using easiyo for a number of years with no problems. My last purchase continually failed, especially the lemon flavour. That is the end for me! It's not cheap and it's full of sugar, going back to shop yoghurt or making my own from skimmed milk. Lot healthier and cheaper!

Cheaper way to have yoghurt
Basically the same quality yoghurt as Jalna Have to remind myself not to buy the sugar laden but stick to the low sugar sachets. Most yoghurt on the market is so sugar laden so if you are having trouble losing weight the greek sachet is a good choice. The full fat leaves you full and satisfies for hours - I never choose low fat versions of any product now and find weight management easier. Have also had failures but never fails if water is straight from the tap -cold only -don't add any hot to mixing water. Could use a thermometer if you wished...Read more
. I'm sure I have seen a temp guide in the instructions. This would guarantee no failures. There are guidelines according to your climate on the sachets. We live in the Hunter vineyards where Temps can be very hot or cold. We use filtered tank water. Overall extremely happy with this product and considering putting the small version in our accomodation villas for our guests to use.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Amazing
Ive had it a week now and dont know how ive made it this long without it.
Room temperature water, and i leave it for 12 hours. Though its looked ready before that time.
Its been perfect every time. Im super stoked. As soon as its done i transfer it to tupperware and fridge it, clean the tub and get my next batch ready as my partner and i are devouring it.

Yoghurt not setting
Very disappointing...I have tried 5 different sachets and none have set. I would like a refund for the sachets and the esiyo maker please.
No one seems to be able to find out why this is happening.......does anyone have an answer or suggestion as to what can be done to rectify this problem?

Works great!
I picked this up in my local Coles and made a few batches with the sachets (just the plain full fat Greek ones) and had no problems. Then I made a batch with regular powdered milk (measure out to the same weight as the sachet) and a tablespoon of Greek yoghurt - set perfectly! I don't use tepid water to make it up though because the water is close to room temperature already. I'm sorry to see it doesn't work for some people, live cultures are quite sensitive to temperature variation. For the record my house sits about 19-20 C at all times with only a few degrees of variation indoors. So much cheaper for me to make it this way - I will experiment with other styles of yoghurt and water ratios next, if anything it sets a little too solid.

Very disappointed
Successful 3 times but since then all failures. Could the manufacturers give better guidance on water temperature, etc. When successful we like the product but it is rather expensive when it does not work. It seems to depend on the water temperature we have tried all ways but cannot get consistency.

Quality and function have declined appallingly.
We were recommended this by a family member. After purchasing the smaller of the two models (more suitable for a couple) EasiYo worked exactly as described. About a month into purchase we noticed the process of setting the yoghurt was repeatedly failing. We tried everything, from keeping the whole container insulated to remixing. We have not had a successful batch since. Woolworths had the packets on sale for some time, this raised our suspicions and we wouldn't be surprised if it was subsequently withdrawn from sale. Completely unfit for purpose.

Mandy B.asked
I didn’t let my yoghurt set for long enough before putting in the fridge. Is there a safe way to thicken it up? And would it still be safe to consume? It smells okay, but it’s quite runny ...
1 answer
Mandy i sometimes have a runny yog after 12 hrs. I just put some more powdered milk and put it back in the maker with fresh hot water. You could write direct to easiyo. They are the experts. You could use the runny yog in a bread &butter pudding or a yoghourt bread. But i am an accountant who is not a very good cook. Why is it runny. Is the temperature correct? In the last 50 tubs only one runny. So i did the above a put in fridge fot 2 days then ok.

Can I substitute water with milk when using the starter sachet?
2 answers
I add 1/4 cup of full cream milk powder to each batch. So I am actually using milk. You should just try it and see.
Bravo Bill for adding dried skimmed milk powder to your sachet. But do not use MARVEL POWDER it doesn't work.
I haven't used milk instead of water but you may give that a go, and see what results. But water and milk powder is the best way to go. Good luck !

Mine didn't set . I'm confused about how much liquid to put in. The markings on jar are hard to see. I watched a youtube video beforehand and they filled it 5cm from top but I guess should have used second fill line .

You half fill container with water, add yoghurt mix, Shake, and fill to 1/2 cm from very top of container, screw on lid, and leave on bench overnight (after filling main co trainer with boiling water to top of red marker)
I use 600 ml of tepid water. Blitz EASI-YO sachet with a STICK BLENDER. Pour into jar - Top-up with cold-tap water.
In the maker-flask pour boiling water to second ridge-thing, where the top of the red-baffle will be - when it is inserted.
I fill the container with tap water half way or even a little bit less. Add the yoghurt sachet, put the lid on and shake the container. If some of the mixture doesn't mix in, use a spoon to mix it in. Then fill the container to the top with water. Put the lid on. I find it doesn't matter if the water is room temperature or a bit colder. Fill the red flask with boiling water to just above the line, so about half full, then put the container of mixed sachet in. Leave for at least 12 hours. I find the yoghurt is better and thicker the longer you leave it in the flask, but 24 hours is the maxium time it can be in the flask. I also find that mixing in about 1 cup of powered milk, mixed in water makes the yoghurt like a Greek yoghurt and tastes creamier too. I've always had success with this yoghurt and it tastes delicious.
