Not Hot At First, Now A Little Better
When we first got this we thought we might never be warm, even nearly took it off and returned it. The instructions said to use the hottest setting (9) once for a few hours and then never to use it again because it could burn. We now use 9 every night before getting into bed to warm it enough - anything less is just lukewarm. Still need a blanket over the top on cold nights but it does an ok job, wouldn't buy it again.

Went bang yesterday
Bought on of these Easy Home electric blankets from Aldi about 6 weeks ago
Put it on yesterday and it went bang, controller now smells like burning and won't turn back on
Something has failed!
Will be taking it back this week to see what they say.
Looking back at other forums for previous ALDI blankets sold under the Lumina brand. They have recalled all of these in previous years,
it would seen they still are having the same issues with this new release under Easy Home
Edit. No hassle when I went to return. Full refund given even though I couldn't find the receipt.

I was not sure about this when I bought it but so glad I did - was very cheap yet has lots of heat settings, timer and separate zones, works perfectly, very happy!

Everything I need; at a great price
Really like this blanket
- 2 separate heating zones which means I can choose a different temperature for my feet from the body
- 9 temperature settings (up to 40 degrees)
- timer settings, from 1-9 hours. Means I can preheat the bed and ensure it doesn't overheat by staying on too long
- lower price than other brands I have tried, while having more features

Great Value, so far very good
Enjoying this electric blanket as can set how long you want it on for - 1 hour, 2 hours. Not less than 1 hour though.
I like that you can wash it. The plastic box I hardly notice - mostly when getting into bed. Have had it about month now.

Does what it says but it is not perfect
Purchased this EasyHome King Electric Blanket from Aldi in Ballarat approximately 1 month ago now and it has been working very well. It is easy to use and a nice surprise are the 2 settings ranging from 1-9 for feet and 1-9 for body. 2 controllers are fitted to enable each person to set their own adjustment. The only issue with this blanket is the connector which connects the controller to the physical blanket. It is located approximately 50cm's from the top of the bed and is a plastic box approximately 4cm's by 8cm's. The box is always in the...Read more
way as it sits on top of the mattress rather than on the side of it, this means I am endlessly digging my elbow or arm into it during the night. If I knew this was going to be an issue I am not sure I would buy this one again but for around $60 it is very reasonable.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great value for money and working well
This electric blanket goes under the fitted sheet on our kind size bed. It has dual controls and each control has separate temperature settings and a top and bottom only mode as well as the whole side. I like warm feet but my torso is fine. My wife likes it pumped up a bit. So we are both happy. It seems to be very good quality and the price was $49.95.

Great value, works brilliantly
My neighbour has owned one for 2 years without fault. I purchased one this week after my $45 Kmart blanket failed within 3 weeks of purchase. For $10 more the Aldi blanket looks to be a higher quality fleece and material. Led backlit controller, 9 heat settings with individual zoning for body and feet on both sides of the bed.
Very happy with this product.

Could have been electrocuted
Queen fitted electric blanket working one night then not the next. When we investigated we saw that the cord had burnt through near the switch and the sheet had a tine burn mark.

BLEW UP!
last night as i switched it to low, it blew up with a loud bang, and all the lights went out followed by a bad electrical burning smell, found out it was the subject of a recall, shop at aldi every week, never saw a notice saying the recall extended to every blanket they ever sold....never again, glad i wasnt electrocuted!

Fire Risk!!!
We've had this for just under 12mths and never really had any issues with it until last night about 1.30am when my wife wakes me screaming that the bed was on fire, with flames about 7 inches high!! We are lucky to have woken up and put out the flames, though I've now got serious burns to my right forearm & we now need a new mattress and sheets. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP JUNK IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND HOUSE!!! We will be chasing ALDI down for compensation and writing to the ACCC & Choice Magazine. The fault is obvious in the wiring between the contr...Read more

Good product at a cheap price
Great cheap electric blanket, would buy again.
No problems, have used it for 4 winters.
Cheap, dual controls, fitted, warms nicely.
The control electric connection base is located on the top close to where your shoulder may rest, but I've had no issues.
Would be perfect if it was machine washable!
Cheap, dual controls, fitted, warms nicely

Excellent
Expected less for the money (paid $40 for Queen), but was pleasantly surprised. 3 heat settings. Beautiful and warm. Bought from aldi. Wish it came in a double for my sons bed.
Cheap and works a treat.
