Rubbish
Waste of money. WiFi never connected so I bought a cable and even that was a task to work. It always says there is no paper and now that it workd the paper runs through it and nothing prints onto it. It's been used once and hasn't worked again. Will be returning it to Harvey Norman

Don’t buy
Worst printer I have ever bought and even though in cheap range of printers. Most I have ever spent on a printer so thought would be great.
Constant issues with wifi, it must use invisible ink cos lots of blank pages printed, after buying expensive new cartridges they seem to go if printer works with very few pages printed and more needed. Doesn’t seem to print even black and white if 1 colour is out.

Totally Dissatisfied
Totally dissatisfied in this printer.Worked for approximately 2 months.Thought if I paid for a good printer I would get one.Rang Epson customer service. They told me that it sounded like the paper sensor was playing up.Then they told me to take it to a service agent. Not good enough.Do not buy an epson printer.

My old epson ‘do everything’ died, so I bought another.
Due to the eath of my old epson I bought this model. Printing is excellent, easy to set up and connect into our network, the 220 cartridges are easy to find and the cheaper type carts work just as well for almost half the price. My son uses it heavily for school work and it doesn’t miss a beat. Best thing was that it was on special at Good Guys for $69! Best of all there was a $15 voucher emailed when I registered the printer. Excellent on so many levels.

perfect for low usage at home
i only have my printer at home in case i ever need to print anything urgently, it does the job.. not as good as the office printer obviously, but it scans perfectly & prints out neatly without any issues. and has a multicard reader which i use for my old PC tower, that doesn't have a card reader

Great wireless features. Great printing.
Its been I think my 5th generation purchase of an epson printer. And this has been a great improvement especially on its wireless features from the TX series. Noticeably less drag when turning on and it rediscovering the network - a thing that really was almost always the case with my previous printer.

Reliable and good for what i need
I only need the printer for home personal use and its is good for that. It has the scan and print features i need and is easy to use. It does not have print both sides capability which could be an issue if i wanted to pront a large document.
For a non-tech head it was easy to set up and is easy to use. It seems to offer value for money so far

Thrown out after 2 prints
Worst printer I've ever used!
Printed with it twice, about 3-4 pages in total. Went to use a third time and there are lines in the printed sheet. Cleaned the head, checked the nozzle and updated the firmware. Still not working. Next step was to rip the flip out monitor/control panel and destroy the rest of the printer.
It's now sitting in the bin. Garbage collection day is tomorrow. Here ends the reading.
P.S. With the 3-4 pages I printed in black and white the black cartridge was showing as 3/4 used already. Spend a bit more and buy something better. No wonder Dick Smith had this on special

Good printer
Good printer however this particular printer didn't come with a USB to connect it to my computer. Wifi printing, however, is great and it was easy to use and setup. I have not had any problems with this printer where as with some other brands i have had. Overall, a 3/5 star

Good basic printer
Prints quickly and clearly. Noticed colours are faint on A4 paper even after adjusting. And are extremely light on photos. As the XP 640 is more for photos, I didn't expect the 420 to be that quality, but was surprised how faint it was. So if you print a lot of photos, get the 640.
Easily installed to computer desktop and laptop, and much easier than the Canon 5675. LED screen is very easy to understand and use and it functions well for general printing. No jams so far (had it for 5 weeks) Can recommend.

Epson
Quite good value and it does the job okay. The color printing is reasonably good. The inks do not last very long especially the black and the inks are quite expensive. I am sure there are better quality printers but this printer works okay for the things I need to copy on projects I am doing

Not bad for the price!
Does the job. Quality of print is quite good considering the price. Refills I bought on sale at jb hi fi so we bought multi packs. The black ink tends to go through quite quickly. Happy with purchase considering it's for home use and the kids only tend to print stuff out for school work.

Great little printer
This is one of the easiest printers I've had to set up. Easy to use good on ink also have the option of using less ink when printing. Once it gets going it is quite fast to print. Ink is reasonably priced around $25 have had it for nearly 12 months and still on the same ink cartridges. I would recommend this.

Prints
Purchased this around 12 months ago and we are happy with its performance, the cartridges are cheap around $25 on E-BAY and last a long time, Quality of the print is good the only problem we have had is the Drivers getting our laptop and I pads to connect every now and then something goes weird, Overall we are happy with this printer.

Great printer
This printer was easy to set up, does exactly what its supposed to do without any fuss. Ink replacement is reasonable, about $25 for long life cartridge. Print quality is good too. No problem with paper jams which was an issue with our previous printer. Paper feed is simple and easy to fill, also an issue with our previous printer.

Worst printer we have ever had
We have had trouble with this printer from day one. After we finally got it all working and talking to our computer the quality is terrible. Obviously we have got a dud one because the other reviews are pretty good. Now the printer won't print properly at all and I wanted to take back to where I bought it and guess what, Dick Smith has gone out of business. Now we are stuck with a printer that doesn't work and chews the very expensive ink up like theres no tomorrow. VERY ANNOYED AND VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Good Printer
Price was pretty good and I managed to get a cash back which was easy to do and paid quickly by Epson. I have also purchased ink directly from Epson as they emailed me a $15 voucher on registration so of course I used it. Ink cartridges were not as cheap as I was hoping they would be when I bought this, but have found Ink Hub compatible quality is good and very cheap in comparison. NB using compatible ink could however void the warranty so only do this at your own risk. Setup was easy especially for WiFi; I have set it up on a desktop PC, ...Read more
Laptop, Mobile Phone and iPad. Very easy to do and print from. Print quality is pretty good. So far I have only used it for document printing which is fast and quiet. Scanning is very slow and noisy so will probably continue to use my Canon printer for that. Haven't printed any photos as so unable to comment on quality. Overall very happy with it and love being able to print from anywhere in the house.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good printer and value for money
Good value for money for a home printer.
Good printer quality, we mostly use for document printing so can't comment on photo or high quality printing.
It was very easy to set up and link via wireless network.
It is reasonably quick to print once you turn it on, particularly compared with other brands I have had before.
Printer appears to be put together well.
