Aweful Service!!!!
I have been trying to get hold of someone to talk to in regards to a minor vehicle Collison claim and cannot get hold of anyone and or no response to any emails I have sent. I have been trying since the 4/4/20. In addition to this my policy went up by 30% since last year without making a single claim! I have requested information as to why this is however zero response. Absolutely disgusting behaviour!

You pay twice
The policy is not good value mainly because one has to pay the excess even if they are not at fault when they make a claim. The wait on the phone to speak to a representative takes 45 minutes and the whole process is against the insured. How is this possible, after providing the company all the details of the drivers at fault I ended up paying the excess and it wasn't my fault?

Awesome service. Very responsive and on the ball
Excellent service. Paid my claim within a day of lodging it and even rang me to enquire if I still required cover when I forgot to send through my certificate. Can't believe I'm actually dealing with insurance as it's been so easy.

Applied excess even though we hit!!! 1 star as couldn't get lower.
After paying prems fro a year we were hit by a another driver in a car park. He accepted full blame but still this company applied a huge excess!!!
All interaction was unpleasant. There is no positive things to say.

Best yet.
Had issues with a Holden Captiva (don't laugh) ericinsurance have done a great service with helping me with all claims on this vechile. Staff have been very responsive and helpful with everything. Im very impressed.

Glad I took out insurance for runflat tyres
I have had terrible trouble with run flat tyres and thanks to this insurance it has helped significantly with the cost of covering replacement tyres. I was told about the insurance after I had had 8 punctures and decided to take it, as puncture repair to run flat tyres is problematic, most tyres can’t be repaired. So much for reducing tyres in landfill, run flats are not environmentally friendly... However having the insurance has at least reduced my costs.

Great service
I took extended warranty with Eric Ins. Unfortunately the car I bought has had to have extensive claims. Eric have been outstanding in approving and paying these claims. Extremely satisfied with this company.

Not worth it
Get pushed to buy their policy when purchasing a car. Get told it cover all window damage (not read the written policy properly, my mistake), pay so much for it per month, and silly me for believing the car dealer that Erik insurance is the lowest price in market. Got my small window at the back smashed and tried to claim it their answer was “sorry it’s not part of the windscreen and it’s not covered and you have to pay out of pocket”. Shop around other insurance and got waaaaay cheaper and actually written in their policy that it covers ALL window damages. Don’t go to this company

Gap cover
My car was written off and i had gap cover with eric but they didnt pay the full shortfall left me with over $2000 left to pay to my finance company then tell me that the $2000 was excluded from the gap cover absolute joke of a company when i was sold the insurance i was told it covers the shortfall so i have nothing left to pay and was assured this many times by their staff yet they have no notes about this even though i asked for them to note it on my account multiple times DO NOT GET INSURANCE THROUGH ERIC THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY

Good value.
Perfect I found the staff to be friendly and helpful when presenting a claim through to completion. The delay in my claim was not the insurance companies fault but the mechanic completing the work.

Absolutely the worst insurance company EVER!!do not take out insurance with them they will take your money but won’t pay out and even keep trying to take your money after you tell them to shove there insurance up there butts

Dreadful Company. Don't Do it!
I purchased a brand new vehicle last year, 2018. The car dealer sold me the insurance with Eric. We opted to pay monthly premiums, rather than a lump sum yearly payment. I received a letter last week saying that my policy expired in May and they wouldn't allow me to renew it, according to "Eric's Underwriting Guidelines". That's OK, I was previously happy with Budget Direct, who were excellent when I wrote my car off last year thanks to a kangaroo. They answered the phone promptly and the whole ordeal was done with in less than a week.

sterday, I received a text message saying my policy has been cancelled effective immediately, due to a missed payment. WTH??? The payments are direct debit, from a bank account that never has any less than $5,000 in it. If the payment was missed, it was because Eric didn't take it. I tried to call them, but got bored after sitting on hold for 2 hours, so gave up. Most other companies, if you miss a payment for whatever reason, they send you a courtesy letter. Not Eric. In the last year since this policy was taken out, there was not one claim, no contact at all, zip, zilch, nada, and this is the thanks I get. I will be monitoring my bank account and if any more payments are removed, I will be taking them to court. Would I recommend this company? ABSOLUTELY NOT!2 comments

Claim was approved in February and I just received a call from Eric Insurance to get in touch with Macquarie bank who weren’t able to disclose any details due to security reasons. Absolute joke of a business.
Do not engage with them.
