It's not the frothing machine, it's the milk from Aldi. It's driving me mad and the Woollies milk froths really great in fact at present very very frothy. What are they doing to our milk?

If its not frothing but heating the milk, i can confirm its definately the milk, not the frother. I bought the expressi and it frothed well first few time. After that, using the same milk bottle, it didnt froth anymore, just large bubbles that went flat after i poured it into the mug. I thought that the machine was broken so i went to exchange for a new one at aldis. I took it home and used the brand new one, same thing, heated the milk but no froth. I didnt understand why the frother wasnt working despite it was brand new and i used the same milk bottle i used on the 1st machine frothed well 1st few times. I went to buy another milk (full cream). Used the new expressi for the 2nd time and it frothed beautifully. It turned out to be the milk, apparently if its full cream milk if u dont shake the bottle all the cream floats to the top and water at the bottom of the bottle. Thats why when u pour the milk, all the cream at the top goes first and ur left with the watery half if u dont shake the bottle before pouring. Despite its the same bottle, thats why it wont froth on the watery half of the milk.

I have a expression milk frothier, that looks Like the new wave automatic. I have lost the small nut that is inside the container to froth the milk. Can I get a new nut? At what cost. The nut appears to slip off easily and fell out down the drain!

Can you use the Aldi milk frother alone and with non-dairy milk? I still like to have a 'coffee' even though I am allergic to both caffeine and dairy, and would prefer not to spend $6+ everyday for a cafe drink.

I'm not sure. It will probably heat the milk but you won't get too much froth as there's no cream in the milk.

We've tried full fat milk, low fat milk and skim milk, both UHT and fresh and lactose free - they all warm and froth nicely, it's not always the fat that froths. Sorry, havent tried soy milk, so can't comment.

I've used mine to froth almond milk and it does it really well, I use the aldi almond milk too which I think is a repackage of the blue diamond unsweetened milk. Unfortunately, it does really work with soy.

Hi!
Is there any way to froth the milk like latte by this frother? I don't like the thick meringue like milk on my coffee. that doesn't even mix with the coffee flavor!

Have you tried changing the whisk attachment. Youget a spiral silver attachment for lots of froth and a small black plastic paddle for latte. I use the black paddle attachment. Just be careful you don't loose it when you're washing the jug.

Do you only use the black paddle if you want latte?

How do I make a good coffee? I have the Aldi machine and pods and also just bought the milk frother, but don't know the best order for making a latte! Any tips greatly appreciated!

All depends on your preferences. I prefer the coffee first, lungo (middle) button, some prefer espresso and then add the milk in afterwards - this mixes them both together like a traditional latte, but some prefer milk first, then put it under the coffee machine for a slightly 'separated' coffee. Be careful not to add too much milk to the latte, so you'll need to fill the frother only to the minimum line. Good luck.

Hi there, the little plastic gadet to do flat whites in my frother fell down the drain, how do i purchase just the part?

Sorry, don't use this email address much. Already asked and answered below. If it's the wire wheel, looks like it's pretty dear. If it's just the little plastic gadget, there should be a spare attached to the inside of the lid.

Sorry, no idea, I guess it's broken. Aldi should replace it for you. I guess you already know you hold the button down just for less than a second to get the red & blue lights up. If it's just the blue light, you've held it too long and it will just spin, not heat.

Hi I don't think so. I know Aldi don't sell spare parts but you may be able to get the piece from a kitchen supplu shop. Hope that helps. The other thing you can so is take the spring off the frother piece and it's the same as the piece you lost.

I lost mine too and I rang the number on the bottom of the Instruction manual (1300886649) and I was able to order the part $3 but the expensive part was the postage and handling $7.

Are you using the two sets of min/max levels on the inside of the frother (hard to see without good light)?

Mummytotwo
Mummytotwo

This happened to me too. When using the frother (the party with the silver whisk type thing) you can only fill the milk to the low line inside the jug. This will produce foam only. To get milk and a bit of froth use only the little black part - no silver whisk ring. And don't fill above the max top line. It is hard to explain, but this works great for us. It also gets more latte foam with full cream milk. Skinny / light milk tends to not 'cream up' as much. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your quick replies! Yes, we have tried the different levels shown inside, both times with the same result. We even exchanged the frother as we thought the lid to be faulty and not sealing properly. We will give it another try with mummytotwo's directions and hopefully it will work. I will keep you posted.... Thanks again!
