Continues to malfunction and service is very poor
Twice now it’s continued to run and we have to turn it off from the switch. The service team is impossible to get a hold of and always two weeks away. I bought all my appliances from F&P and there’s always a problem
Purchased in February 2021.

So far so good
We've been using it for about 6 weeks, and have had a number of guests in this time so it's had a fair workout, both drawers being used roughly 3 times each day. It hasn't caused any issues so far and has aside from extremely oily takeaway containers haven't had anything come out with residue (and even they were almost completely cleaned).

Broken down 4 x in 12 months
We renovated our kitchen 12 months ago and installed all new Fisher & Paykal appliances. We’ve been happy with all excluding the DishDrawer. For the 4th time in 12 months it’s broken down. When it is working it does not do as good a job as the old Dishlex we had previously - leaving food scraps, and not drying items properly. When the machine has broken, every time we have had to wait approx 2 weeks for a technician to come out. 4th time I told them I wasn’t settling for a “fix” but rather a replacement. They agreed after reviewing the case. Ho...Read more
wever I now have to sit at home for two days to wait for the new unit to be delivered on day 1, and a technician to come Day 2. I specially told F&P I wouldn’t be able to do this (as I work full time) and that they needed to arrange the things to occur on the same day, needless to say they were not accommodating. They would not put me through to a supervisor when I requested, and although I was told I’d get a call back I never did. Very frustrating experience! I hope our replacement machine is not a lemon.....Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great for couples
This 2 drawer unit is great for couples who do not manage to fill a 14 place dishwasher for a couple of days. Being able to have one drawer washing whilst filling the second is great. Each drawer may take a bit longer than normal but at least not all your cutlery and crockery is not locked away until finished

Great dishwasher
Cleans well once you know how to not stack dishes on top of each other.
Not very loud at all.
Top draw is very good at preventing you from bending over.
Does not require much cleaning at all, barely have to clean filters.
Was easy to install myself, without needing someone to come out.

My third F&P Double Dishwasher and still happy with this great product
We have found these F&P Double DishDrawer machines reliable, quite and leaves the dishes clean and dry. We have had small issue like the touch buttons failing which was fixed at no cost.
Having two small dishwashers in a single machine is great advantage, we can wash dishes more regularly.

THE BEST IN THE MARKET!!
I can wash two separate loads on different settings at the same time which is such a boon. So many different wash options to choose from. The dishwasher has a child lock which is so essential. Could not do without it now that I have it, it is the best. Great product

Looks great & works Ok
We quite liked the look of the double DishDrawer & the design as a concept makes perfect sense; However as far as cleaning goes it isn't really any better than many of the cheaper dishwashers that I have used & it does take a long time to dry the items.

F&P not what I expected
When it was functional my DishDrawer was perfect in every way. I would have easily rated it 5star if it had continued to function (this is my second DishDrawer so I had expectations of quality based on my last one).
I've had at least 4 call outs for this unit with part replacements at each visit! It was OK whilst under warranty however the last call out wasn't and I paid $142 to be told I had to pay another $500 minimum to make it functional.
As a single parent with one part time income I cannot afford for it to be repaired but the truth is...Read more

Excelent Dishwasher
This is the third Double drawer dishwasher we have owned (Third house also). The first one was a bit noisy, but the second and this one are very quiet. They have all cleaned the dishes well, and we are happy with them.
One thing that I would suggest is a special rack for lids to plastic left-over refrigerator storage boxes, as these tend to not fit into the bins next to the cutlery and when put in the racks sometimes slip down into the bottom and stop the calculator water sprayer.

Not as good as the last one
This is our 3rd F&P double draw dishwasher. It cleans well and is quiet when running, but why did they change the internal layout? We are now using our old cutlery holders and have removed some of the small plate holders. The new layout means it does not hold as much as the old design.

Maybe third time will prove acceptable
Built new house and installed a F&P double drawer dishwasher. We're now waiting on F & P of supply the third replacement in six years. The first machine worked OK but F&P sent all owners a recall notice to have the glitch fixed or get a new machine for half price. We stupidly took the second option and its been a nightmare ever since - should have stuck with the first one. The replacements have all suffered problems with the electronics control panel mainly for the upper drawer - the last replacement panel lasted 47 days before again failing. W...Read more
arranty covered supply of parts but not travel and installation (we live in regional NSW) and each visit was costing us nearly $200. They have now agreed to replace unit for nominal cost - was supposed to be supplied on the 23/11/15 and still no sign of it arriving (now 26/12) with a house full over Xmas its been an unmitigated disaster. Seems the left hand at F&P doesn't know what the right hand is doing. e.g.. The agent they nominated that would instal the replacement when contacted knew absolutely nothing about it and more to the point didn't service our area. The reason I can't give the model number is the top drawer will not open and am scared to power it up as it seems to have a problem that trips the circuit barker on the power circuit that its on so has some serious 240 volt type issue somewhere!!! The basic idea of the machine is good the implementation and durability is absolute crap. I gather F&P is now owned by a chinese company so hope they can help it get its act together but from previous experience I doubt this will be the case.Similar opinion? Had two in two separate houses, love them!
Feels like quality, much sturdier than traditional rickety dishwashers. We use Eco and jam pack it (brush off dishes before loading) and we get a great clean. We use bottom drawer for all the pots from dinner and top drawer takes a full days dishes. Never had a single issue.

Don't go there!
Gross. Doesn't clean the dishes well, so hard to pack anything a bit larger in such as bigger knives. Forget trying to put a few pots in.
Have to pull apart and clean, very often. Leaves a pool of water at the bottom of the drawer. Would never install one of these!!

Delighted with Service - happy with product
I had a two-drawer Fisher and Paykel dishwasher which died after many years of faithful service. It was so nifty and reliable that I got another one. The dishracks in the new machine broke quickly and were all just a bit flimsy. I was disappointed, but the machine worked well and I couldn't be bothered making a complaint. Now, nearly six months out of warranty, the bottom dishdrawer in the new machine broke down. When I rang to organise repair, I complained about the flimsy dishracks, even though I accepted that the manufacturer had no obl...Read more
igation to do anything about that. The repairs were undertaken quickly by a pleasant fellow at a very reasonable price and, the following day (today), an unsolicited package arrived from Fisher & Paykel containing all new dish racks. I'm delighted and want to share the joy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Not Worth The Money!
I have had my F&P two draw dishwasher for just over two months (DD60DDFX7). Paid $1750 for it brand new and I am very disappointed. First of many issues is it's inability to wash dishes. I constantly have dirty dishes (freshly dirty, nothing heavy duty or baked on). Forget the quick wash, it wont even clean a glass that had Coke in it. Dishes do not dry and come out wet (I have been using Finish brand rise aid as suggested by F&P). If you use a tablet (which I do and use Finish brand) the tablet does not dissolve but goes all manky and sits in...Read more
the basket still whole (think this is why the dishes are dirty) The "normal" cycle takes ages and the "heavy" cycle even longer (and still no clean dishes). My standard dinner plates do not fit in the top drawer only the bottom. This is due to a rubber lip that is only on the top draw and the plates get caught on it. Obviously having two draws means you are going to use double the amount of tablets, I was happy for this extra expense thinking my life was going to be made easier...I was wrong. I now have to scrape my dishes, rinse then dry by hand...easier and cheaper to just wash by hand. Another issue is the rubber surrounds are constantly wet and never dry out, so I feel this is going to be a mould and smell problem in the very near future. I have only just been in contact with F&P so cannot comment on the customer service...I think it will not go well. Overall, don't bother with this dishwasher. PRO'S - It looks nice.Similar opinion? So many error codes
I have now been through three of the dishwashers in my time and having finally given in and remodelled the kitchen cabinets to fit a standard sized machine. Flood error, door error arghh. Service after $ervice. Love the concept hate the execution. I cringe when I look at an investment property with them built in.

Love this dishwasher!
I had my first two drawer Fisher and Pykel dishwasher for 10 years without any trouble. In the last 12 months or so it started to wear out, a lot of the problems caused by me using products designed for full sized dishwashers and using cleaners not designed for these dishwashers. I honestly believe she would have kept on going otherwise. Fisher and Pykel offered me a replacement deal which included install and removal of my old machine for a great price! My installer was amazing, he explained what to use and not to use and why. I love my t...Read more
wo drawer, so convenient to use, efficient, reliable, and you don't need to waste a lot of money on cleaners or use expensive tablets. Fisher and Pykel looked after us also, so an overall great experience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Can the double dish drawers be installed apart from each other in the kitchen?

No, F & P have a different model that looks like half one of the double unit.
No they cannot. They come as a single unit with 2 drawers. but you can buy two single drawers from quite a few brands

I am looking at replacing my DD 603 if it is not economical to repair.
Fisher and Paykel recommend DD60DDFX 7 but the reviews for this model are horrific.
Any suggestions??

Don't get it, we have this model and it's expensive rubbish. We have had two call outs to fix flooding drawers in 4 months. The washing performance is only ordinary because they don't have a top spray arm. You end up with dirty water pooling on anything that is hollow on the top. The fast or Eco cycles are not worth using as the washing performance is so poor. As a result, these machines are far from efficient. The baskets are poorly designed and difficult to stack. If you stack dishes too closely together they don't come out clean, which is obviously due to it only having the one spray arm. Save some money and buy a Miele, they are cheaper! The only good thing is the drying cycle.
