Cheap and Reliable Washing machine
We bought the washing machine more than 3 years ago. We never had any problem with it. It is easy to use and does it job very well. The clothes are clean and smell good after every wash. Generally, it is quiet during the wash, except the spin process makes loud sound.

Wont Spin
Worst machine ever does not want to spin its computer brain says it is out of balance and takes for ever to work, most loads take over 1 hour extra to what it says it should we have the machine perfectly level and have to put a vibration mat and the dryer on it to stop it vibrating it is rubbish we spent $804.00 which included delivery and levelling and have put up with this machine for 18months and now are going to throw it away what a waste of money F&P will never purchase another one of your products again

Unreliable
Worst appliance in my house! We have lived in our home for just over two years and have so many issues with this washing machine, always has error codes and the technichians take so long to come out and fix it.
It make so much noise and shakes around violently even when leveled and pump filter has been cleaned. Honestly one of the worst purchases I've made.

Terrible Machine, has had the same part replaced three times.
I will never buy a Fisher and Paykel appliance again. I have had the bellows replaced three times, each time they only last for a few months. Usually they break off at the same point, the last time the machine started leaking before the piece broke off so I was able to take photos and show the repairman how it was getting suctioned to the door which then resulted in it breaking each time. I had it replaced again yesterday after a two week wait for service, in November it was a three week wait for service. In November the pump was not placed in...Read more
correctly by the repair man (even though that had nothing to do with the problem) and the machine leaked straight away. So much for the testing process, this time my quiet machine sounds like a plane taking off, so I will need to call them again to come out to see no doubt waiting another two weeks. They can't even do the testing process correctly in my case there was no attempt to test, as the power plug was not even connected.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
Washes good, the balancing can sometimes be a bit pathetic but its a really good washing machine. Clothes come out dry but of course i wanted the Washsmart as its got more options, cycles and 1400rpm spin. Hope you guys will pick this washer and review it. Good luck. I hope there is a little improvements.

Love it it's fantastic
I love the front loader as I have always used a top loader. It cleans to perfection gentle on my clothes which is a big plus. It is very quiet when running so it doesn't disturb anyone sleeping. It saves on my water bill so very economical. I find it very easy to use, no problems cleaning inside the barrel. The best feature is my clothes come out beautifully clean what more could anyone ask for.

Quiet to run
the machine is very quiet to run, I often forget that it's on until it plays it's little chime at the end of is wash cycle. it is a 7.5kg machine but does struggle with heavier loads requiring you to manually shift things around inside if it can't self balance before starting its spin cycle. The times it displays for it's wash cycles can be considered a best guess at the minimum time it will take. if the load is uneven it will do a few slow rotations in each direction to try and re-balance the load, this adds to the wash time so if you need to ...Read more
consider this when putting a wash load on. it does get clothes clean enough and removes most of the dog hair that we accumulate on clothes being pet owners. I tend to use the quick load function for most things but the delicates cycle is gentle enough to wash most of my hand wash only garments. I do like that it has a Drum Clean setting that i can run it on once a fortnight to clean it, very handly. The variety of cycles it offers is good and it has been fairly economical with water to run. I love that you can pause the wash to throw something else in or rescue something that you didn't mean to put in.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Excellent washing machine
This is my first front loader and I will never go back to a top loader. I have had this machine around 6 months now and I love it. It is very quiet, even when spinning, except i have noticed if I do a full load of towels the top spin speed is a little high, it is a bit noisier but has only come unbalanced once. Everything is always really clean (I use OMO ultimate powder), no soap marks. Standard wash takes about an hour but can take longer if the load needs a lot of re balancing (which the machine does by itself). I allow about an hour and a h...Read more
alf if I want to hang it out before I leave. I love the delay function, it's great, although keep in mind that the time you set to delay is when it will start not finish. So if you set to delay by three hours it will start in three hours' time not finish. I love the prewash function. I love the fact that it has hot and cold tap connectors which saves on power. It also has a great feature where it tells you when you need to clean the machine and all you have to do is run the clean cycle with detergent, you don't have to manually clean, except to check the filter as suggested in the manual. It has a key lock function which is great if you have kids as it means they can't fiddle with the buttons though I also turn the power point off when not in use. I purchased from the good guys and they weren't very flexible on price but it was on sale already and the delivery people were great, very professional and efficient, took all the rubbish away, the machine was ready to go when they left. Capacity is great, I can fit a full set of queen size bed linen, for example, and it can even handle a single bed quilt (low spin).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Awful experience
Purchased 1yr and 4 days broke down. Extremelty loud explosive sound while spinning clothes and fabric conditioner dispenser not working. Took over 3 days to get a response from fisher and paykel . Explanation for taking so long . They were too busy. So disappointed. Had plenty of wasing machines before different makes and they lasted more than 10 years

Hate it
Although the it cleans my clothes quite well, there are some things I don't like. There is no Wool wash cycle and no way to have a warm rinse. It is not a patch on the previous F& P models where you could make up your preferred cycle yourself. The everyday cycle is too long at 59 minutes. It used to take 40 minutes with the old model.
Perhaps some of these facts are why this model has been discontinued.

Poor, Poor Service
Great machine until it stopped working (after 14 months) and came up with error 37...pump....cleared the pump and it still won't work.
Called service people as it is still under warranty and as they don't have any service engineers in the area can't even look at it for 3 wks!!!!
Been washing at the local laundrette and it's costing me a fortune!!!
What am I to do?

Love This Washing Machine
We purchased this machine 5 months ago and I love it, it is quiet, has great features and washes our clothes really well. The spin cycle is great and gets so much water out of the clothes. It is very quiet, we don't even know it is on! The only problem we had with it was with a small load of washing making it vibrate violently when it was spinning, I think this was due to it being unbalanced with not enough clothing in it, but if you put in a half or full load of washing it doesn't have this problem. It is very water efficient, using aroun...Read more
d half the amount of water that our last machine did. It is very easy to use and has a good selection of wash cycles. I love the delayed start feature and the fact that you can adjust each programs spin speed and wash temperature easily if you need to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

the perfect washer....
we have had our front loader now for about 6 months and have not suffered one problem with it. it is far quieter than the top loader it replaced and the clothes seem to be all the more cleaner. we usually use the every day cycle a bit longer than the 30 minute cycle but I'm sure its all worth it. this is our 3rd Fisher and Pykel washer. our first front loader. we hope it will be as reliable as the previous 2 top loaders. all in all we can't fault this machine....except the finish washing alert could be a bit louder :O))) regards. George.

ce so make sure you have something else of the same to balance the weight out. this machine is operating as well as the 2 top loaders we had before from this maker. all 3 have proved them reliable and a brand worth considering in a washer, top or front loader. regards. So Quiet.
Bought the Fisher and Paykel after researching front loaders online.
Features I was looking for included cycle times, quietness, reliability and washing/spin performance.
Most (all?) of the front loaders do not take their full weight of clothes in all of their cycles. This model takes a full load and an hour on the "everyday cycle" which is quite reasonable.
I removed the transport bolts and used a spirit level to level the machine. 1 minor complaint is that I had to raise the machine slightly to turn the rubber leveling feet as they would...Read more
not wind down with the weight of the machine on them. There are also lock nuts on the feet to lock them in position. Once leveled the washer is remarkably quiet, spinning at 1100 rpm during the spin I can only just hear it in the next room. Noisiest part of the cycle is the water filling, I can hear the taps come on but thats about it. As for washing performance we have only had it for a week but seems to clean well and clothes come out quite dry.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
The perfect addition to my house....
This machine is just the best! Not only is it gentle in clothes, quiet and efficient to run it also comes with huge selection of washes...15 mins to bulky washes, delayed start, temp adjustment and the ability to add things once the cycle has started...AMAZING! Highly recommend this front loader machine!

Good quiet washing machine
Very happy with this purchase. It is quiet n washes clean. I use the everyday washing function takes an hr n always does the job. 1100 spin cycle dries the cloth sufficiently too. I read some bad reviews on this machine before I bought it but all were non-sense suppose maybe someone doesn't know they hv to take transition bolts out before they connect it?

So far so good!
Our other front loader stopped working after 5 years and it wasn't worth repairing. After a bit of research we decided on this machine. We've only had it for a few days but we are very happy with it. It's cleans clothes very well and it is so quiet! It rinses much better than our old machine and we can't even hear it working which makes it great if we need to wash something in the night time and we love the fact that it turns itself off after a cycle. Hopefully this machine will last longer than 5 years. But so far we love it!

Fisher Paykel Quicksmart Washer
Had a noise problem when first installed, service guy came one foot was just a fraction out spirit level said it was level so it has to be perfect. Now seems ok, does wash well also now quite only thing I have found is wash seems to take a bit longer than it says like 10 minutes.

Fantastic
Bought this machine for nearly two years, never have a problem. Simple to use and love the quiet direct drive motor, you don't even realise it is running. Good cycle options, touch dial, great for high energy and water savings. Just love the machine, it is value for money and the best washing machine I ever have.

First one didn't work second one o.k.
I have always had a top loader and mine died recently after 15 years of service. I did quite a bit of research and thought this f&p would be the best bet. I wanted to go to a front loader as the top loader was a bit hard on clothes. The first one came up with an error 105 so had it swapped as I didn't want a brand new $950+ machine repaired. The second machine worked however I found that the top loader never needed fabric softner and this one does also the clothes are much wetter when it finishes washing them. On the plus side it uses less water and has plenty of wash cycles to choose from.
