Hi, we got our washing machine second hand but it has been running well since we got it just under a year ago. Now, when we try to put it on a cycle it will try to start and pump water in but after 30 secs of trying without any water coming it, it stops and starts beeping with two lights - the one above long wash and the one above rinse. Wondering if it's fixable or not?

Sorry Jess, you would need to phone F & P. However the water pipe could be blocked.

My machine is filled with dirty black stuff down where you put the washing liquid, how can I clean it have run it thru a vinegar wash?

dirty black stuff is residue (gunk) which has come out of the clothes and is not soluble in the detergent you are using.
Scrape some off the surface and put in a container.
Find out what detergent will dissolve the gunk and use it.
This happens if items used with beauty products ie beauty salon/ garage clothes/ towels are washed.

My 6.5kg machine just stopped at end of rinse cycle. Normally runs perfectly from new till now. No power at all on display. Please help.

You probably have the same problem we have had. It sounds like the computer control board has carked it. I have learned that F&P are a "mass market entry level machine". they are built to price not quality. We are purchasing a quality replacement. Why waste more money on F&P?
Apart from turning off the power at the wall and turning it back on again and then trying to start as usual, I'd say it's a job for the repairman!

I set our washsmart to do a cold only wash and part way through the cycle it will start beeping and trying to add in hot water (the hot water light comes on) - how do I get it to stop doing this? It's only recently started to do this for the last 2.5trs it's been running perfectly and never tried to do a hot wash before.

Hello Renee, I have always used the warm setting on Regular cycle which uses warm wash and cold rinse, so I always turn on both hot and cold water taps. There are lots of wash options listed in the user instruction guide that comes with your machine under Wash Cycles (p,26 and Wash Options (p.28). I would use the toll free phone # to speak to a service centre: 1300 650 590 for help. Good luck.

Put a stocking on your hand,run it round the inside of the bowl to see if it snags.You may have something like a bra wire stuck in one of the holes?
