So far so good.

We were persuaded to go for front loader when we replaced a Simpson toploader, which performed admirably on cold for 21 service-free years, but then objected to a hot wash in no uncertain terms! This new F&P was much more expensive, but so far as we can tell, this is a superior machine.

Nice Machine but Constant Vibration

Great to begin with, but broke after 2 years!

published

This was a great machine to begin, quiet and easy to use. However after only 2.5 years (and outside the warranty period) the machine started making a clunky noise on every cycle. We were told by the repairman that the machine was no longer balanced internally and he had seen this problem quite a lot with these models. I just someone post a similar review on my local BSS page which prompted me to write this review.

Given the price of the machine when we purchased it, I expected it to last longer than 2.5 years. I was very disappointed! So buyer beware and definitely purchase the extended warranty if you do buy it.

Very Smart Washer

published

My clothes look so much better now that I am using this washer. My blacks are blacker, and whites are whiter. It is also a quite machine, hardly vibrates. My favourite features are the choice of wash settings. You have a quick 30, delicates and wool, among other styles to choose from.

Fantastic Machine

published

This machine is fantastic, It cleans and rinses our clothes really well, which is important to us as we have two small children who get very dirty! The machine is very quiet, you don't even know it is on even when it is spinning.
My favourite features are being able to choose the soil level and the ability to do short washes.
I highly recommend this machine.

great washing machine

published

I have had this machine now for about 6 months and I am very happy with it. Great results each time and it is very quiet. I also use the various options and so enjoy being able to change the duration, temperature and spin speeds. Very easy to use. I can recommend Fasher & paykel wash smart front loader.

Waste Of Money

published

I bought this machine in December 2015 and have been having a problem ever since. They keep on sending the technician and he fixes it for a few weeks and then it doesn't work again. Currently it is not working for more than 2 months and he has been ordering parts and basically building the machine from scratch in my laundry. I paid for a new machine but it is nothing but hell. The people at f&p are not helpful and keep on organising for the technician to come and fix it. Why don't you realise that I have a faulty machine. Shame on you. I will never buy or ever recommend this product to anyone and will tell every ear that's willing to listen that this machine is a hopeless piece of metal. Very disappointed.

Love this machine

published

Of all the washing machines I used, this one is my fav. Also I am use to top loaded not front loader and thought would not wash that well but it does better job especially with the "mix" option. It is also quieter than my older one. Also it gives reminder to drum clean.

Floods floor

published

9 weeks I have had my F&P front load washing machine love it compared to top loader F&P. Three times now it has totally flooded our laundry floor with quite a large amount of water twice on a bulky wash with bathroom mats and once on an easy iron cycle. Water seems to be coming out from the soap tray as water is spilt down the front of the WM. I haven't seen it in action. Anyone else experience the same. Can't trust it now. FP have now repaired a hole needed to be drilled in the back of the detergent tray to let air escape. No further problems.
