This machine eats clothes. Has happened twice. They get stuck in the piece between agitator and bowl. How do I remove without wrecking my new top?
Trying to do a bowl clean and everything else and keep getting an error code 26 - there is no reference to this error code in the instruction manual. Find it hard to believe when it’s F&P that have coded it this way. Have tried a few things to get it going with no luck, any ideas?
Hi Lsmith,
I haven’t had my machine long enough to have done a bowl clean yet!
I suggest you contact Fisher & Paykel directly and ask them the question. If it’s still under warranty (2years manufact...
inlet valve fault
hi, i have a Fisher & Paykel washsmart topload 10kg washer, the bowl clean light has come on and I am not sure what to do, I have misplaced my manual, can you help?
Can someone tell me if I can use napisan and powdered detergent not liquid?
Yes you can just add it to the detergent dispenser on the left hand side
Better to use napisan in separate bucket and allow to soak, turning over every few minutes.
It needs time to do it's job.
How do i re balance my machine?
How to re set shock absorbers on car - you don't, you replace them
or adjust the wind down legs at the four corners if it wobbles on its feet.
How do I know if the softener is being used? I've pressed the button on but once the regular cycle is finished there is still softener in the tray?
I every time it goes to fill with water it keeps turning off why?
Hi
I haven't encounter something like this,
You might have a fault, best to call the product company or place you purchase it from.
Haven't had this problem. Now I'm getting used to my machine I'm actually liking it. Maybe you have a faulty machine you might need to ring customer service and see if they can send a technician out to assess the problem you are having. Good luck
Are you using cold water and are you on well water? If either of these, shut off cold water, unscrew cold water line from wall mount and clean out screen. Then hook back up and turn cold water back on...
Read more. This should resolve the issue. Over a period of time, sediment will clog your screen in your cold water line and not allow water to fill fast enough to complete its cycle.Washing machine, "Fisher & Paykel", model WL1068P1, top loader, 10kg
Suspected Fault: Out of balance error occurs
Can some one tell me what to do here please?
TIA
Brad
Replace the suspension.
4 rods in the corners of the machine that hold the tub in place.
Shock absorbers are worn out – yes, it can happen quite quickly ... and to any brand machine (they don't make 'em like they used to). Around $230 to fix (parts & labour).
Either if you replaced them yourself and if so is there any instruction. I got the same problem
Hi guys is there any tutorials out there on how to replace the suspension kit rods for this specific machine?
Every time I do a load there is a little white knob that goes in the middle and it keeps coming off and now I can twist it back on and I am not sure what to do.. I have had the washing machine for 2 years and never had a problem with it at all.. thanks
If your machine is no longer under warranty, I would phone a serviceman and ask if it makes any difference that it is not attached.
Hello, can you use the F&P 10kg Cleansmart toploader with only the cold water hose connected? I've got an old laundry that doesn't have a hot water hose connection. I keep getting different feedback from F&P Customer Support team! Thanks in advance.
Hiya. Not that I needed to, I disconnected the Hot Water hose & started a cold wash without issue, so yes you can use it without a hot water connection. Regards
Thank you!
You can get a blanking plug to go on the unused water inlet from F&P, that will stop the possibility of cold water back bleeding through the non connected hot water fitting, you will have to change al...
Read morel your cycle settings to default cold otherwise it will start beeping that there's no hot water. My hot water cylinder is not mains pressure and the machine would start beeping because the hot water would only dribble through the machine valving, so I did the above and just add a bit of hot water in the beginning to help dissolve the detergentI've only done 1 load on my new washing machine WL10681 and it hs a number of problems already I have noticed - not enough water is being put into the machine and no way to put any more in and lint left all over the towels on the towel cycle - if this keeps up I will want a replacement quick smart from you Good Guys with a different brand of machine
Can I return it and get another reputable machine?
Hi Mood, the water level is of the same of a front loader you just can't see inside it like you can with the top loaders. The water efficient machines with the low profile agitators don't use much wat...
Read moreer like the older machines use to. The machine automatically decides the water level from the amount of clothes put inside the washer. For example if you choose the towel cycle it turns the high efficiency off which gives you a higher water level than the regular cycle. Its important to not mix clothes with towels as well, not to say that's what you are doing. The washer automatically defaults back to the factory setting but you can override it. I haven't personally experienced lint problems with my towels but I don't mix colours. Light towels one wash & dark another. New towels always must be washed separately a couple of times before mixing them with your older ones. As far as a refund or exchange for another washer it totally depends on the retail store & its policies. However, I do think you'll find that most of the washers on the market today will be quite the same as far as their wash times & water levels. I too found it very different until I could see it does wash the clothes well.Look I've been washing clothes for a very long time as I'm a senior now and I've never known a machine that doesn't cover the clothes with water to wash - this morning I put on a second load on regula...
Read morer cycle and still clothes were not covered with enough water to either soak or wash them! Ridiculous! Want my money back!Hi Mood, I saw your reply & felt that I might have upset you by the way of your washing knowledge. I too am in my 50's & have been washing for a long time. That was not my intention I was just trying ...
Read moreto help. I do understand what you mean by the lack of water, what I was saying it acts like a front loader because that is how they wash. I have never had a lint problem because I do a lot of separate washes I guess I'm very fussy in not mixing my clothes. I do hope you find a machine that suits you but I would suggest not a water saving or low agitation model because I feel you'll have the same issues.Hi :) very happy with ours. What's the difference between handwash & easy iron & is there a way to add more water to the bowl? Thx
handwash uses a lot more water for a given load, it also agitates for half the amount of time that easy iron does
Thank you Gerard :)
Do you know how to add more water to the bowl in any of the cycles?
You can turn "high efficiency" off on all cycles except "quick", some cycles like sheets, easy iron and bulky can't use high efficiency at all.
Using the softner option increases the water level of t...
I have a clean smart 10kg I've had it for around 2 years all of a sudden every load whether it has two things to a full load it keeps going out of balance even if the clothes are not out of balance any idea what's going on with it??

Hi, The wash boost holder is full of water and does not drain after the cycle is finished. I have tried a cycle without and with wash boost option and the holder is still full of water at the end of the cycle. Any ideas?

Does the pause button pause and then cont in program? Mine restarts from start of program after pausing.
A. Service request implemented as this deemed not normal
Hi Julielu, Did you resolve this? I have a WA850G1 and I believe it's doing the exact same thing. If I pause it during a spin cycle, doesn't matter what stage, and I then hit the pause to restart, it ...

Any info would be appreciated.I was put thru to "lady"workshop tech in NZ who was VERY helpful. Yes is just what it is meant to do. Yes it is annoying too... Logic is if you stop it mid- process it operates on assumption that you ...
Read morehave added or subtracted item/s and therefore the sensor info has to be reset.. ( mind you I don't see why since only spinning) - machine doesn't distinguish between parts of the cycle for that assumption. i.e. no matter where in cycle it is stopped it will default back to start of that stage within the program you have set..hence it reverts to start of spin EVEN if only 1 min to go as the machine now acts as if you have put another wet item in ... The Tech Lady actually found it in the manual too but i don't have it t hand to quote page no. right now. (it was a ambiguous .) In other words the Pause button is part of the Sensor system -a computer program. It is not a simple on/off pause switch like the F&P tumble dryer. Good thing is once you understand this you can operate it predictably so if you forget to add something and pause it after it has begun washing it, you now expect it will add time to the program and also re-start at filling water..... But I still love my machine at May 2017.My machine washers for 5 min then beeps with code e ap, what does it mean?

Mine is doing the same.. If a code comes up it should have corresponding info in the manual. ( I could not locate it) I have wasted much time...
Read more on this error code load and to be referred to a serviceman when error codes are built in by F&P is unscrupulous ! Instead Googled further and there was mention about water not getting into machine. ...BOOM.. The tech was right in his misleading answer .."It is very difficult to make an accurate diagnosis of the specific cause without the benefit of inspecting your appliance.".. the thing was that was not what you asked and nor what I wanted to know . Had I known an hour ago that it referred to "water" I would have checked for that. It turns out for me that the EAP error code arose as i had accidentally selected warm wash when i ONLY ever use the cold water tap. Sure enough no problem once i restarted with "cold' wash selected... What a waste of time. I hope your problem was resolved too.Get an answer from our members and Fisher & Paykel representatives
