( mind you I don't see why since only spinning) - machine doesn't distinguish between parts of the cycle for that assumption. i.e. no matter where in cycle it is stopped it will default back to start of that stage within the program you have set..hence it reverts to start of spin EVEN if only 1 min to go as the machine now acts as if you have put another wet item in ... The Tech Lady actually found it in the manual too but i don't have it t hand to quote page no. right now. (it was a ambiguous .) In other words the Pause button is part of the Sensor system -a computer program. It is not a simple on/off pause switch like the F&P tumble dryer. Good thing is once you understand this you can operate it predictably so if you forget to add something and pause it after it has begun washing it, you now expect it will add time to the program and also re-start at filling water..... But I still love my machine at May 2017.

Doreen, That answer was not good enough from F&P official. Mine is doing the same.. If a code comes up it should have corresponding info in the manual. ( I could not locate it) I have wasted much time...
Read more on this error code load and to be referred to a serviceman when error codes are built in by F&P is unscrupulous ! Instead Googled further and there was mention about water not getting into machine. ...BOOM.. The tech was right in his misleading answer .."It is very difficult to make an accurate diagnosis of the specific cause without the benefit of inspecting your appliance.".. the thing was that was not what you asked and nor what I wanted to know . Had I known an hour ago that it referred to "water" I would have checked for that. It turns out for me that the EAP error code arose as i had accidentally selected warm wash when i ONLY ever use the cold water tap. Sure enough no problem once i restarted with "cold' wash selected... What a waste of time. I hope your problem was resolved too.

What's the recommended washing powder or liquid for this machine?
You can use a powder in this machine as long as it is a high efficiency washing powder & you must at least use it with a warm wash not cold. If you use a laundry booster it must be a liquid not powder as it is corrosive to the machine.
Our 10KG CleanSmart model automatically restarts to wash and even following instructions (as per page 34), the issue remains. Any ideas as to how to fix this?

I have never experienced that problem with this machine. I would definitely call F & P service to remedy this type of problem.
how do i get the keylock off? and how did it lock in the first place?

Can you pause this machine so that you can soak clothes for 24hrs? I've heard of some machines that are will automatically empty the water as a safety feature. Thank you.
Sorry I have no idea. I've never had the need. Maybe if you call Fisher & Paykel they can tell you.
