Gyms charging additional fees when you use FitnessPassport
Be carful as FitnessPassport can work out more expensive due to Gyms charging extra fees if you use FitnessPassport. For example I was out on a job in Campbelltown and dropped into a Fitness HQ. I presented my card but than after filling out an arms length of paperwork for a one off session they then insisted on me paying $50 for the service. I was very clear it was just a one off depending on how many jobs I get out this way but they still insisted I either pay $50 to use the Passport or pay for a casual workout! What's the point in having the FitnessPassport as its really false advertising saying you can use it at participating Gyms! Seems like a scam to me!

FP delivers an access model that works!
I work between Kogarah, Caringbah and Wollongong. I live between Annandale and Berry. In any given given week I use gyms in Alexandria, Rockdale, Wollongong and Nowra. None of that was possible before Fitness Passport because there wasn't a chain with that span. Closest is Anytime.
New gyms are added all the time, old favourites drop off, which is a bit sad sometimes.
Seems to be unbeatable value, means that I can always get to the gym. My only regret is that when I go interstate I'm back in the old way of doing things with casual visits and no 24hr access.

Lucky for Fitness Passport!
I'm loving Fitness Passport! Bottom line, I couldn't afford a gym (which there are many to choose from even in my smaller town) or pool, if it were not for FP! So now I am able to go 3 & 4 (or as often as I like!) times a week! So great!

Really unhappy with Fitness Passport, after a month I've realised I just don't have the time to use it. Tried to cancel and they tell me I signed up for a year, they want a cancellation fee and "Clause 5.1 clearly outlines the cancellation fee payable".
Their Terms and Conditions are 19 pages.
Well, none of this was in the "Important Information" email I received at sign up.
No one mentioned this in ANY email.
Now their argument is that I should have read this on my employers intranet page. I was unaware of this as I'd responded directly to...Read more

Finally have been contacted after submitting a review and everything has been finalised!
Hi,
I am not with my previous employer anymore since April 2022 and you still have not deactivated my account! I have sent you an email and you keep contacting my previous gym to say that my membership has been cancelled but you still keep taking money out of my account. I can’t even find a number to ring your company as it is hard to hard to find a number to contact you. Can you please contact me as soon as possible so this can be resolved.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks

Guest to use fitness first health club over the weekend
Dear FP team,
I have been a member for a while and had no issues with FF gyms (Health Club) in bringing a guest with you over the weekends.... This morning had a staff member in FF Randwick stating guests are not included as part of FP for any FF gyms. I had to tell him to look into it as he wasn't even sure!....My guest was allowed in this time but, it was an uncomfortable experience as this never happend to me since I became a member for 1.5 yrs ago and often use the FF gyms often with a guest over the weekends.
Can you please clarify the condition with FP membership, if we can bring a guest along to use the FF gyms over the weekends... especially Eastern suburb areas?

Love it except for gyms requesting you buy a 24hr pass
We are enjoying the variety of gyms to work out in. We travel during school holidays and it is great to pull up in a new location and still attend the gym or swim. We are constantly asked to buy a 24hr pass. A recent visit to one of the participating gyms during our holidays (11am), told us the gym had token entry and we would have to buy the $50 scan token. We explained that we were travelling, could show our licenses to prove it and didn't know if our area had there franchise, so it is pointless for us to buy one? He explained that even thoug...Read more
h the office was attended, staff are not to let people in. We went to go and he said he would do us a favour and let us in, he shouldn't but he admired that we wanted to work out on holidays. It would be great if participating gyms had to be transparent with their conditions of entry for example; must have token and FPassport to enter. Every time I enter a new gym, I wait for the sales pitch!1 comment

Not happy poor communication with fees
Signed up to family, didn’t use the membership. It was not clear when you signed up there was a cancellation fee. Suspended it and then they started taking out extra 27$ a month with no notice. I found it by looking back. Cancellation fee table is not even logical. The reviews are right it’s just about the money and not about the person.

Fantastic until you try to leave. Sent my $230 to debt collector even though i have not used it.
I contacted FP advising them of our financial hardship. I emailed photo of cut up cards but they claim to have never received it, continued to try to debit our account (which we told them would dishonour) and have now sent $230 to Billchaser. I did the right thing and communicated our difficulties with them and I cut the cards up making it impossible to use. Great idea and great value
I am glad I have my Fitness Passport. Whenever I had questions they replied quickly and informatively, especially Kristine. Once I decided to have deductions taken from my pay everything happened quickly again. I have found them very helpful and easy to discuss (via email only - unfortunately) my concerns with. My wife and I are using it regularly now and the cost per class is excellent - the more you use it the better value it is. I recommend it highly.

I left my job yet I’m still being charged!
I haven’t been in my job since March yet they still take money from my account. I have tried to council but my former supervisor doesn’t seem to want to help me. Every time I email Fitness Passport I receive nothing back & they just refer me back to my old supervisor. As far as I can tell they don’t even have a contact number. It a great idea but they don’t make it easy to leave if it doesn’t suit your situation anymore. Big regrets! I won’t do it again.

Used only once. Moved to a different job on January and asked for refund for the continuous debit till March although I have not returned my cut up card. I only got presented a no brainer term telling I cannot have a refund because I have not presented the cut up card straight after my resignation and it has remained actove. Crap! Total crap.

This is literally the best thing thats happened to me! The flat fee really motivates me to gym to get the most out of what I’m paying. Easy to use and very straightforward joining and suspension process for when on holiday. Do not do it!!
I took out a family membership but then found out my son was not able to use it. I paid for nearly a year but only used it twice, to go swimming, a grand saving of 12 dollars. They then have the gall to charge you a cancellation fee of well over $120 dollars. I made a mistake signing up - but these people are only interested in one thing, and that is ripping you off as much as possible.

Useless if you leave your home town
While it may be slightly cheaper than having a membership with your local gym if you go anywhere they don’t work eg snap, world gym etc that useually work nationally so kinda defies the point, as i travel what I would consider the normal amount it ends up being expensive and frustrating.
