Happy so far

published

Beautiful to drive. Quiet and refined inside. Sync 3 system is fantastic but has occasional glitches. Had for 18 months / 40,000km and no problems so far. Does some farm work and haven't started a fire yet. Load carrying capability for a dual cab is good and towing capacity is great. Thirstier than my previous BT50, averaging 10.5L/100km.

Ranger lemon

published

My 2017 XLT Supercab auto has now been at Gateway Ford in Wollongong for 2 months. The vehicle has 13,000km.
There was an unacceptable engine knock. Ford said they would install a new motor. Ford supplid a recondioned motor and offered to extend the warranty by 2 years. I was not offered a loan car till last week.
Picked up vehicle yesterday and only travelled 2 km and stopped. Placed on Tilt Truck and back to dealer.
They said the vehicle required 5 new injectors which would be absolute horse s--t.
Now requesting a new car as this one has been a LEMON.

Love it

published

Use it as our family vehicle upgraded from a Toyota Kluger and we love it. Great and comfortable to dive even for its size.
Fits the baby car seat in the back perfectly. Front seat can be adjusted by height and also closer or further from the steering wheel which is great as it adds to the confidence in driving a large vehicle

Navigation

published

Very happy with the Super Cab Ute generally but as mentioned the Navigation is out dated. Can't fin my house let alone the street which had been created about 3 years ago. Not good enough. my old, old VMS GPS finds my street and alerts for speed cameras, and School Crossing. The new FORD should do at least that. The navigation is the reason I wont give it 5 stars.

Also the damn Smart Charger is not so smart won't put out enough to charge my camper through the 30 amp plug on the move. The old, old Luxxie did. Dumbest idea ever.

Biggest Lemon ever

published

Very comfortable, has everything inside. Very costly when towing a van. Had recalls, still waiting to get fixed. Had problems ever since new. Back seal etc. Every extra that was put on was incorrect and had to be taken off and put back on properly. Some dealerships not friendly and helpful

Pre Collision Assist Not Available

published

I have a 2016 Wildtrack, the Pre Collision Assist Not Available pops up at random times, this has gone on since new & Ford have just told me this is normal & happens all the time. I have spoken to a few people that own a Wildtrack & it hasn't happened to them? Would be keen to know if this is happening to others?

Love it!

published

Just bought the 2017 Ford Ranger with free Auto from Springwood Ford QLD. Absolutely love it and got such a bargain. The guys and Springwood Ford QLD did it in a 2 day turn around! Yes, 2 days! So we were able to drive away before the new year and still get the free Auto and a special price.

2017 Ford Ranger

published

This is my second Ranger, to date very happy. Comfort is pretty good, having an exceptionally poor back is a fair indication over long trips. 18000ks on the clock, returns 9.6ks per litre, loaded with canopy and around 500kg plus full fuel. Overall I would rate the Ranger 4.5 stars out of 5, to date no issues.

A very good well built truck

published

Very comfortable, good engine and automatic gearbox,
Performance is ok for a truck (if you want to go faster, get a Porsche). Very good off road
The tailgate does not have the ability to be lock with the central locking, the roller for the lid leaks and the tray fills with dust when off road
Running cost have been Average, service reasonably,

No problems to report after18 months

What a Truck!

published

Very happy with my purchase. Use it for the daily commute, family car trips, and for getaways to surf, camp, and 4wd.
Haven't had any issues with it, almost due for first 15k service.
Plenty of grunt, very smooth drive. As a tall bloke (6"6') the drivers seat is very comfortable even on long trips.
Would recommend!

Good Ute little things stop it from being great

published

Great Ute to drive and considering it’s size reasonable on fuel. I’ve done over 37000km with a mixture off road and towing and averaged 12.2litres per hundred. Vehicle is lifted with bullbar sand all terrains that won’t help economy. Little niggling things like front sensors going off in the rain or radio not working intermittently or adaptive cruise control turning off stop it from being a great Ute. Paint seems extremely thin and Scratches chips easily. Having said the negatives it’s still a great vehicle to drive and for a large Ute it’s still a great drive

Great ute

published

Drives nice and smooth, plenty of power to get up and go. Interior is ok, pretty basic but that’s all we need. Easy to keep clean inside and out. Plenty of room in the dual cab for the kids. Running costs are low and fuel consumption around 9L/100km. Tows our 20ft caravan with ease-hardly feel like there’s anything hooked on behind us!

Ranger PX.II / PX.III (2015-2020)

Wildtrak 3.2 auto thuds/clunks into 6th gear at about 75 -85 Klm/hr. Sometimes I completely lose 6th gear. This fault happens intermittantly but is happening more often. 2022 with 31,000 Klms. Dealer doesn’t seem concerned, they dropped a new program into gearbox computer. No change. Anybody had an issue like this.
