Great sales service - prepare to pay for it
Good product but double the price for indentical doors in 3 other firms.
Profit margin too high for me to pay.
Extremely unresponsive
I contacted Freedom Screens and they took a couple of weeks to come back to me. They came down, quoted and after a few days I decided to move forward with the quote with a slight variation. I have contacted them 3 times to confirm the new quote amount so I can put the deposit in and they are not responding. Tried calling several numbers on their site - they are all going to a message bank. Can't imagine what service would be like it I had to make warranty call - will not proceed with using them based on terrible service received so far.
Extremely Happy with product
Having used retractable screens in a previous home it was really a no brainier to choose it for our next place. Andrew from the Sunshine Coast office was very professional and exceeded our expectations when it came to his installation and making sure it was just right. I love the fact that when they are not in use you cannot see them they blend in with our current timber doors colour blending was no problem. Can't wait for those summer nights when those cool breezes will flow through and not the bugs. Thanks again Andrew great product.

Very Happy
Used the Melbourne office. From meeting in the showroom, to the fitting of the final product, they were very helpful and professional. So happy with the result and glad I decided to pay the extra to have the track put into the floor. The tradesmen were tidy and pleasant.
Great product and good service
We have a covered open entertainment area attached to the house. Insect are always a problem when entertaining or relaxing. We wanted some screens that would be functional, look good, be easy to use and of good quality. After looking around, we chose Freedom Retractable Screens and are very happy with the installation. The staff were friendly and reliable. Great service. And we have no more insects.

so lucky I stumbled across them, professional, punctual even under budget nothing was too much trouble and the retractable screen means our bi fold doors can be open all summer to catch the breeze and cool the house. I am stoked
Great products and service
I had the elite retractable screen for our bi-fold kitchen window fitted over 2 years ago and have been very happy with this product. It blends into the wood work and is fantastic for keeping out the bugs, it’s also easy to use. We’ve had many friends comment on it and ask where we bought it from, so have referred Freedom Screens Sydney to a number of friends. The final product is brilliant, it keeps the sun out and looks great on the outside of our house, the colour choices meant I was able to choose the exact colour shade of our house, so it really blends in. Great service, fantastic products, can’t rate them highly enough. Wish I could upload the images to give it more justice.
Freedom at last!
Wonderful service, a brilliant product. Totally changed our lifestyle - kids can roam free and we get the breeze and no insects! We had a long list of questions and even more requirements. These guys really know their stuff. 100% satisfied.

Looks stunning and is super practicle
Had one of the retractable screens fitted to my back door. It's looks amazing and does a great job of keeping all the unwanted guests outside. Have received heaps of compliments about the screen too!
Keeps the snakes out too!
Have had our Infinity screen from Freedom for over two years now without a single issue - does everything it said it would. It is on our double front doors so we are careful to show people how to use it when they first arrive. Common sense really. I can see how young children under say 10-12yrs might struggle with it, but really you need to do your research first before calling that any sort of problem. The best thing off all is I don't need to keep an eye on the door to see if a snake has slithered in - the zipped retained mesh won't let them in - ingenious - I couldn't find another brand that could do that. Obtaining bi-fold doors soon, will only call Freedom.
Cairns Freedom Screen
Chris from Cairns Freedom Screens has been wonderful. They came and did my screens today and apart from the new screen you would never know they were here. (I left a key out as no one could be home.) the service has been wonderful and so fast. Only the first half of my house has been installed but I'm so happy thus far!. Screens look so good.

Freedom Screens - give them a miss
We have had trouble with these doors and these people in Sydney almost from day 1. Track mechanism disconnects easily, but impossible to reconnect yourself. Parts break easily. Company fixed under warranty the first time, but then refused to come back. The business split, and neither party was interested in maintenance. Head Office in Qld then denies all responsibility for ongoing maintenance because they "use a different product now". We spent all last summer with no working screens (4 installed), and now have to replace completely. These were expensive to install, and we are very very unhappy with the lack of maintenance options in the post warranty period.
Great Service
I have had my retractable screen for over 7 years. When I needed a part replaced they provided the part free of charge without even asking for proof of purchase. In my couple of dealings with them I have found them very professional. And their product is the best out there.
Repair of Braking system under warranty will not be honoured!
Rude and arrogant and intimidating attitude from management based on Central Coast and "a nothing to do with me "attitude from head office in Queensland ! Refused to fix the braking system unless a call out fee was paid out first which subsequently was increased !

Freedom Retractable Screens, Sydney also offered an upgraded product at a heavily discounted rate, which you refused. We did all that we could to appease you and this minor issue you had with your nine (9) year old screen. It is regretful that you felt it necessary to go down the legal path that you did despite our every attempt to satisfy you. The Tribunal found our efforts to be upstanding, honorable and in accordance with the life time warranty on the product.A long dispute occurred where the company refused at first to honour the life time warranty of the working parts as the warranty which they have now is only good for 5 years . ... Read morely a minor issue when in fact the braking system is a major part of the system and was the selling point for your product! I sought legal advice and the team who looked at the warranty agreed that the screen should have been fixed without cost to the client but the judge on the day interpreted the warranty differently. The mediator at tribunal also pointed out that it should have been fixed with no cost to the client if only from the goodwill of the company but obviously the Sydney distributor wasn't going to provide that goodwill and insisted that I would have to pay the high labour cost to have the brake repaired! The part that was eventually supplied didn't even fit the screen and I was told that the brake just needed to be pared back. The braking system didn't even last a year after that ! I would recommend to anyone thinking of buying the screen that they buy a conventional screen from a reputable company !A further comment is that the warranty is falsely implied ( advertised) especially when the high cost of labour is not part of the warranty when the part under warranty mal functions. Most company's provide the labour as part of their warranty ! This is where the consumer gets stung with this company! BE AWARE!!!!
Infinity screen - Great product
I had an infinity screen put on my bi-fold doors. The braking system is ingenious and the screen is very discreet and streamlined. My installer arrived on time and was courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this product.
Horrible screens. Horrible after service
I have French door and got a retractable fly screen installed from freedom retractable screens. The mechanism to open and close the door is impossible to use for any kids even 7year olds. So it now stays open. Also people and pets cannot tell if it's closed and walk into it. Dogs just barge through ripping it.
It needs a ribbon or like running through it (like glass doors do with prints) so people and kids and pets can see its there.
I have emailed the company and get no response.
The installer was very nice and professional but I assume he is a subcontractor.
Worst service ever
When trying to get our screen fixed we were referred to the cairns office as apparently Townsville no longer has a fitter. This man took forever to return calls, disappeared with the door and then called me a liar for trying to get in touch with him unsuccessfully and spoke down to me and treated me like a child. I was horrified!!! we are still waiting for the door to be returned, constantly told he is doing us a favour, and until it is returned we can't get our bond back. Would never recommend or use this company.
When I called head office to discuss my concern I was treated poorly by the receptionist who had no interest in helping me solve my dilemma.
Appalling.
Quality insect screens
Very happy with the two retracting screens that are installed over my double French sliding doors at the front and back of my apartment. I had been looking for quality retracting screens for awhile but found most of the options were flimsy or the mesh was not fixed at the top and bottom rails so pushed straight through. Finally found these screens and had them installed in Jan. We love them and use them almost every day. High quality build with the added bonus of coming in a dark gunmetal grey which blended in with our door frames beautifully.

Horrible service! Very rude and completely breaches confidentiality issues!!!
I went through Freedom Retractable Screens in Townsville initially and the service was wonderful - Townsville was brilliant!!!
However, when I wanted a quote for some repair work, I was disgusted at the service from Cairns office was providing. Not only did they discuss personal issues with our tenant they let them hear the dispute we were having over the phone. To top it off - they will not come and fix the doors!!! When you attempt phoning you get a smug voice. We are taking it further and will see what Head Office of Freedom Retractab
Fly screens
I have an old house with opening outward wooden windows, as I am near the rainforest there are heaps of insects and other unwelcome visitors at night. Closing all openings isn't an option as it is too hot.
I had already form another source the dropdown ones for the windows; this latest one is a pleated retractable screen for the french door, it is perfect! no need to close the screen during the day, thus cutting down fresh air. A must for queenslanders, we have no flies here, but many insects attracted by light in the evening.
Great service, I am not in town and a representative came quickly to measure up and installed the screen promptly after that.
Its a bit expensive but well worth it.
