Rubbish

published

This generator is absolute rubbish. The build quality is non existent, from jammed choke, wires not connected, battery not connected. Hard to fill with fuel as it has no way to view the fuel level and is quiet noisy. Best of all mine ran for 2.3 hours before it terminated. Buy a Honda or Yamaha.

Manual says it needs high detergent SAW 10W30 which I cannot find anywhere, is it a mis-print for SAE 10W30? any recommended oils as I'm struggling to find anything I feel safe putting in it to fire up, also cannot work out how to put oil in!!!!

That is what I thought so I used a good quality Sae30 engine oil which is used in most 4 stroke stationary engines I live in WA so 10w30 is probably not so important

Most mineral oils are of reasonably high detergent content, so any quality 10/30 oil will do the job. The purpose of the instruction is to warn you against using any non-detergent synthetic oils, which while of higher quality, don't have the ability to prevent sludge build-up

Dave do you work, or own outback or another firm that sells this rubbish. you keep stating the owner of the genet must pay the freight I have stated this is not correct many times, but still you persist.

outback covered all freight at my insistence, to, and return of replacement unit from cairns Queensland to Sydney after I pointed out aust warrenty law, if they were in the right they would not of payed shurly.

still mucked me around cream deluxe, with not doing anything correct with freight company but long story short,... I didn't pay a dime and neither should any one else after seller concedes/ concludes, matter can not be fixed online or over the phone and unit requires return to base. and there total lack of service support for customer to drop unit off for repair. in there local area.

I now have a Honda 2.2 and kick myself for wasting time with Briggs and straiten, and other Chinese rubbish.... all though the Honda is now made in Thailand, not japan. but after 2 months is still perfect in every way.

and for anyone interested,.. can run a 1500 watt air fryer and 3... 25 amp battery chargers
all at the same time, with out any flickering of the overload light. chargers putting out around 60 to 65 amps at 12 volts.
anyway Dave thanks for helping people here... I use to as well,.... just don't know why the insistence on, they must pay the freight.

Judy, if you still have the packaging that the generator arrived in, then repack it and address it to the retailer you bought it from. Sadly, as was indicated, you'll have to pay the postage, but once it's fixed, then it's posted back to you at no charge. Check a local courier and see if they are cheaper than Aust Post. Alternatively,if you have a friend with the necessary know-how, then perhaps he/she can fire sort the problem for you, or even drop it in to a local car mechanic, they'll have the knowledge to get it going.
