Not happy with Purchase

I ordered the 3 piece Black Book set at the end of November and still have not received my full order. I received 1 of the book a month after ordering. It has now been 2 months since ordering and I still have no received the other 2 books. I have contacted customer service 3 times about it and they have changed the story every time I have asked about it

Don’t have stock!

If you don’t have stock don’t sell the item! Simple! You shouldn’t sell an item and then say it will come in a couple months

Have not received items ordered

Ordered 4 items, received one. It been a while, a long while, needed the tools when i ordered them. I find it frustrating and unfair that companies can sell items online that they dont have in stock and expect customers to wait ages to receive them if at all.

Don’t order if you want your tools fast.

I had ordered through get tools direct for the first time. I ordered a saw blade for my plunge cut saw, splinter guard for the tracks for the saw, and a dust bag for my belt sander.
These 3 items came sporadically over approximately 3 months. No communication besides within the first fortnight stating my tools may be later than originally specified. I had to keep reaching out, to hear the same story.
So needless to say I’ll be using other tool suppliers.

Very poor customer support

I purchased a Hikoki reciprocating saw package, and had a battery fail, returned battery and h as be had zero response since, have made numerous contacts, always will reply, but never have, extremely disappointed, poor customer service 0428664223, if you want, cheers

Wrong Items

Thanks for send me the review link, otherwise I wouldn't know how to reach to your guys. I've order the fluke flat blade test probes but received a completely different item in the mail. It looks like some kind of leather material samples. I immediately took a photo and email back to your sale team, it's been more than 2 weeks without any respond. I've called once and told I need to wait. But how long?

If my item had arrived I could review it

Would love to be able to review the Fein battery I ordered six weeks ago, but it still hasn't arrived. Ordered on 1 December as it appeared to be in stock. It was apparently dispatched on 14 December. Now 16 January and still not here. Understand most of this is Australia Post's fault, but maybe time to find a more reliable company for deliveries ?

Katana combo kit 5 piece Great for the DIY handyman. 3-5 year warranty is a great plus. Have not used all of the tools yet but they all look the part

Returned item

Purchased Makita radio skin and the battery. When it arrived the radio and battery were received but no battery charger. When I phoned they informed me the charger had to be purchased seperately from the battery and would increase the overrall cost by a third. This was not highlighted or made clear on their website
Parcel returned and Australia Post tracking confirmed it was delivered to the correct address. Tools direct cannot locate the parcel and until they do refund is being withheld.
They have not offered any positive way forward and it appears the issue is in the too hard basket

Over a month to receive item. Needed constant reminding.

Item unstocked at time of purchase but this wasn’t stated at purchase. I had to keep checking to get them to dispatch. When informed they were in process of dispatching, I waited 2 weeks. Upon not receiving item I got in touch to find out they’d forgotten and they only then sent the item. Minimal apology. No partial refund offered. If you need a tool for a job, be prepared to wait a few weeks to get it done, and keep telling them how to do their job.

STAY AWAY!!! this is basically a drop-shipping company that advertises without having stock.

Seven days have passed and this guys have not dispached the product (See my screenshot). I feel scammed by this individuals which are basically a drop-shipping company. What can one do after those individuals take your cash?

There is nothing much I can do at this point, but I hope people see this review and don't fall for the same as myself.

Poor business attitude

It took you almost 4 weeks for you to get back to me after telling me the grease gun had been sent with a tracking number that you were actually out of stock and that's only because after the second message I'd sent asking about it (un answered) someone finally sent an apology and refunded the purchase.
So another way of saying it is I lent you $133 and it took you a month to pay it back.

Not the most straightforward of a transaction - difficulty in actually paying and entering shipping details for the item -but after several phone calls we eventually we got there

Advertises items not in stock

I was after a particular item and Gettoolsdirect seemed to be the only place with stock. Some days after placing the order I learned that not only did they not have stock but neither did the distributor, yet their website was still showing the same item as available.

The other items I added to the order arrived eventually, but took a long time to be shipped. There was no apology, and I had to ask for a refund of the unavailable item. I won't be buying from them again since I can't trust that they actually have what they claim to.

My experience with Tools Direct was very good. I accidentally ordered a 12 volt tool when I wanted 18 volt . I was able to return it by post and received a prompt refund. All good.

Disappointing

Ordered 2 Makita tool spanners, got one ok, the second took over 3 months. No communication, no reason, no apology. Took me 2 phone calls and just a “yeah, that is a bit long…”. I appreciate there can be delays due to Covid, but I don’t know whether this was the reason, because they didn’t communicate.

The items were not what I was after and they were really bad shipped. Only wrapped in some plastic, a few pieces were broken off the steps. Will never buy anything from this website
