Not the perfect knife but AMAZING warranty
We received our Global Millenium set almost 14 years ago as a wedding gift. 3 of the six knives have snapped over time, each where the blade meets the handle. Over the 14 years I have sent back each knife and received a brand new one with in weeks. No questions, no arguments, nothing. I love using the Global knives and have since bought another two not in the set, this is purely because I know that if anything goes wrong with them they are replaced with out any issues. I can't say that about a lot of my home accessories.
Purchased in November 2021 at David Jones.

Ok. But not great.
We bought this set 3 months ago.
They are no better than our last set of Mundials in terms of sharpness or how often they need sharpening (every week).
They are, however, worse in terms of toughness. The Mundials were in the dishwasher for 15 years, until the handles started to fall off! The Globals pitted after 1 wash.
You get what you pay for, and these are cheap knives (They are always 'on sale'.), so I shouldn't be surprised, But I was:)

Outstanding knives
These are beautifully balanced and, if kept sharp using the Global 3 wheel sharpener, are probably without equal. Prior to purchasing these Global knives, we were using high quality German blades. However, it is very difficult for non experts to keep these types of knives really sharp, whereas the combination of the Global knife and the Global sharpener makes it possible for anybody to put a truly razor sharp edge on the knife in a few seconds. A purchase you wil never regret.

Best Knives Ever
I bought those knives as anniversary gift for my partner and he was extremely happy. They are extremely sharp and the design is just stunning! My partner loves cooking and we usually spend our weekend cooking and baking, so they were just the perfect gift for him. We are using them everyday and cooking just become even more enjoyable.
Their original price was not affordable, but during last Click Frenzy event I found a great deal in Kitchenware Superstore and I was so happy.
sharp and stunning design
expensive

Reliable & serviceable performers
My wife always liked and commented on the style and ergonomics of Global knives .I noticed however that during six years as a full-time waiter in five-star hotels and restaurants, that Global had rarely been used or recommended by any professional chefs I had asked. The main complaint by the pros was that "welded knives never last, they corrode and break". I went ahead anyway finally and bought the Millenium set as surprise gift for my wife about six years ago. In general, the set has been great. The sizes and styles are versatile and right. The...Read more
y are comfortable, easy to handle and straightforward to sharpen and maintain. After about three years I noticed some marked corrosion on the welded/ground section of two of the knives. This didn't affect their performance until this year, when within three months of each other both knives snapped in half at the point of corrosion. These two sizes don't seem to available for single purchase so now we have an incomplete set. This is a real shame. Perform well, sharpen easily, handle very comfortably. Largely durable. Tend to corrode at the welded and ground section of some knives and ultimately break. Expensive for knives that break.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Sturdy good brand
We bought a set of these about 4 years ago, we also bought a set for my mum and sister for her wedding present. The main reason for buying Global knives was because I worked with a lot of chefs and they recommended them to me. We also bought the " recommend" water sharpener which worked well at first then just kept blunting our knives worse. We now sharpen them with a fishing knife sharpener which works great! If you are like me and will take care of your knives, sharpen regularly and only use for cutting food then these are a great buy. If you...Read more
are the kind of person who wants knives that you don't need to care for and use them also for "heavy duty' cutting then I would not recommend them, you will find they will chip and you will most likely have to replace one, of not more of them.Global knives also have the benefit of being able to buy separate knives to place and broken ones in your set. I am very happy with the quality of my set but do know of people who are not so satisfied. Quality cut. Can break easily if not cared for.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
